Domestic cats, no matter their breed, are all members of one species. Felis catushas had a very long relationship with humans. Ancient Egyptians may have first domesticated cats as early as 4,000 years ago. Plentiful rodents probably drew wild felines to human communities. The cats' skill in killing them may have first earned the affectionate attention of humans. Early Egyptians worshipped a cat goddess and even mummified their beloved pets for their journey to the next world—accompanied by mummified mice! The cats rumble with each other on a high roof, biting and scratching at each other until one finally gets the upper hand and throws its enemy off the roof in which it gradually holds on by a thread. Hanging off the edge of the the roof, the cat with the upper hand hits the other cat a few slaps to the face with its paws until it fall's to the ground heavily. Four pigeons scavenging the seashore for food as vehicles drive by the Bay Road area. The beautiful sounds of the waves crashing into the shore can be heard in the background. The pigeons began to do their special mating calls to each other. The beauty of the sea can be seen also in the background as the pigeons walk on the sidewalk on the way back to their home. The hen is a female and the male would be called a roster, And just as humans are divided into male and female and children and adults, chickens are likewise. In this context, a man equals a “rooster” and a woman equals a “hen”. Both are generally chickens, but the names indicate their gender and that they are adults.

Fog hovers over the frigate bay resorts golf course pond. The view is spectacular as I drive along the outside of the golf course. Looking carefully you can see the fog just there over the pond. They are beautiful coconut trees and palm trees all around. It is one of the most beautiful views at the frigate bay Marriot hotel. They are tourists going for an early morning jog on the golf course.

Butterflies are flying insects with large scaly wings. Like all insects, they have six jointed legs, 3 body parts, a pair of antennae, compound eyes, and an exoskeleton. The three body parts are the head, thorax (the chest), and abdomen (the tail end). The butterfly's body is covered by tiny sensory hairs. The four wings and the six legs of the butterfly are attached to the thorax. The thorax contains the muscles that make the legs and wings move. FLYING  Swallowtails are strong fliers.Butterflies are very good fliers. They have two pairs of large wings covered with colorful, iridescent scales in overlapping rows. Lepidoptera (butterflies and moths) are the onlyinsectsthat have scaly wings. The wings are attached to the butterfly's thorax (mid-section). Veins support the delicate wings and nourish them with blood. Butterflies can only fly if their body temperature is above 86 degrees. Butterflies sun themselves to warm up in cool weather. As butterflies age, the color of the wings fades and the wings become ragged. The speed varies among butterfly species (the poisonous varieties are slower than non-poisonous varieties). The fastest butterflies (some skippers) can fly at about 30 mile per hour or faster. Slow flying butterflies fly about 5 mph. LIFE-CYCLE OF A BUTTERFLY Butterflies and moths undergo complete metamorphosis in which they go through four different life stages. Egg- A butterfly starts its life as an egg, often laid on a leaf. Larva- The larva (caterpillar) hatches from an egg and eats leaves or flowers almost constantly. The caterpillar molts (loses its old skin) many times as it grows. The caterpillar will increase up to several thousand times in size before pupating. Pupa- It turns into a pupa (chrysalis); this is a resting stage. Adult- A beautiful, flying adult emerges. This adult will continue the cycle.

They are unrelated species that partially share a niche (seabirds). A seagull is a strong flying bird that also frequents the shore. A pelican is a swimming and diving bird with a deep bill that can scoop up fish from the surface. Seagull is watching the pelican's every move. It is hoping that somewhere during the water removal/head-flipping process the pelican messes up and a fish gets away. If that happens it will swoop in and grab itself a meal, before the pelican recovers the lost goods.
