The sixth mission of Mutant Apocalypse and the first mission where you can pick any X-Man. I usually use Psylocke exclusively for all the missions, but for the sake of variety I picked Gambit this time mainly because his triple cards makes the Brood Queen boss fight a breeze (and his scissor kicks do a good job at dealing with the Broodlings.)

The first level of Episode 1. As you'll see, I like to go 100% vulcan canons. Front, rear, and both sidekicks. They're not all available this early in the game, so vulcan main cannon and sonic wave rear gun. No side kicks. I actually opt not to fully charge the rear gun because none of the generators at this stage can keep up with that configuration. TIP: Press Enter to change firing mode of certain rear guns (including the sonic wave.)

All the same items, plus two more energy tanks, 75 additional missiles from killing Ridley, and a couple extra missiles packs from Kraid's lair. Of note: I prefer to keep the Wave Beam for Kraid, so the initial playthrough has it; however, I also recorded a run with the Ice Beam for demonstrative purposes. I deliberately declined the Varia suit because, "Eh, why not?"
