DNL at Lights in the Park [2015]
DNL performing at Lights in the Park on July 11th, 2015.
Track List:
"No Emotion (Retorik Cover)" [Prod. Rapitfly] 2:04
"Darkest Hour" [Prod. Anno Domini] (Excerpt) 5:15
"There's A Purpose" [Prod. Dansonn] (Excerpt) 7:41
"Whether The Storm" [Prod. VTZ] 9:40
The audio quality of the video is not the best (lots of clipping) but that can't really be helped considering it was recorded on a cellphone. Additionally, the wireless mic I was using kept dying on me during the set (fortunately, the system didn't go down for me completely as it did for some other bands that day).
Also, during "Whether The Storm," some dude grabbed a mic back at the soundboard and just started singing over my song during the interludes. Sorry about that. Towards the end of the song, I was worried that he wouldn't stop before my third verse. Normally, I would speak during the interludes, but I had pretty much said everything I was going to by that point in the show... Anyway, he's not actually supposed to be part of the song.
Otherwise, the show went well.

Spittin' Rhymes To Pass The Time [2015]
I went on a mini-"road trip" with my friend Xavier back in 2015 and, to pass the time for part of it, I randomly decided to record myself rapping verses over various beats on his iPod. I just found this video on sitting on my computer the other day and it brought back some good memories, so I thought I'd upload it.
As a side note, I had been awake for something like 22+ hours at the time of recording, so I was ridiculously tired and was acting kinda goofy.

DNL - "Darkest Hour" (Live Video Demo) [2014]
DNL performing "Darkest Hour."
The year 2012 might just be the most difficult time I've ever gone through in my life (so far, at least). My grandmom died, my dad was dying of cancer, I dropped out of school due to all the stress and pressures in my life, and almost all my friends were unavailable to go to for various reasons. As the year went on and I had no one to turn to, I relied on God to get me through it.
I poured out my pain and sadness into a myriad of lyrics and songs. This song, "Darkest Hour," is one of them. This is only one verse from it, but I'm eventually gonna record it properly and release it.
[Re-upload Note: For context, this was originally recorded and posted in 2014. Forgive my rather unkempt appearance in this video as, at the time, I wasn't exactly taking good care of myself due to my depression and the grief I was struggling with.]
Lyrics:
I live my darkest hour every time I get depressed
Dark days be drowning me guess it's time I got a vest
Life's hard, guard my heart with some barbed wire mesh
Cause my friends all left, some for college, some for death
Some forget, some are wrecks, but it's not just this
My dad's dying, tumor looming over his flesh
Physical body, he's still a godly man, I still give him respect
But it's still sad he'll be gone soon [what the heck?!]
Nah, I get it—God's plan is the best
But sometimes it's just hard to think it's correct
But when the dots connect I sit back a sec
And breathe in the air realizing how I'm blessed
How alive I'm kept how He's changed me so direct-
-Ly// I see growth evident by introspect
See// It's shown in my life, my fight for perfect-
-Ing// Me to be like Christ through my struggles [indeed]

GrowiN Records - DCA Concert [2012]
DNL & TJ Bleecker perform "Stand, Pt. 2" in a very blurry video clip with incredibly distorted sound.
From the GrowiN Records concert at Dayspring Christian Academy on May 5th, 2012 which featured artists DNL, TJ Bleecker (known then as Protégé), and Ouranon (known then as... actually, I think the concert was the formation of Ouranon, so they didn't have a name at that point).
