Forever I'll Follow
The story of the Good Samaritan...
From the point of view of the man who was robbed and wounded...
Luke 10:30, 33-35 (KJV)
30 And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
Jesus is the Good Samaritan!

But This I Know
Bless Ireland!
Galatians 6:14 (KJV)
God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ…
Without the cross, humanity could have no union with the Father.
On it depends our every hope. From it shines the light of the Savior's love, and when at the foot of the cross the sinner looks up to the One who died to save them, they may rejoice with fullness of joy, for their sins are pardoned.
Kneeling in faith at the cross, they have reached the highest place to which a sinner can attain. {AA 209.4}

Of Times and Seasons
1 Thessalonians 5:1-4 (KJV)
1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
God’s people will not be surprised the day Jesus returns.
They are not surprised because they have a general understanding of the “times” and “seasons” of Jesus’ return.
What is the first step in that understanding? Getting to know Jesus.

Someone Like You
Acts 17:24-28 (KJV)
24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25…as though he needed any thing, seeing he gives to all life, and breath, and all things;
26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed,
and the bounds of their habitation;
27 That they should seek the Lord, …and find him…
God created you, appointed a time for you to live, and assigned a place for your habitation so that you would seek Jesus And find Him.

To Weep, To Mourn, No More
Jesus is our Comforter.
When we all get to Heaven, we will live with Him forever.
But consider this.
We ‘re also going to live with each other.
The Bible says in the book of Revelation, chapter 20, verse 4:
”…and I saw the souls of them…which had not worshipped the beast,
neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads,
or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”
Will you be able to recognize people in Heaven?
In Matthew chapter 17, Jesus was transfigured with a glorified body.
And His disciples still recognized Him.
Because we will be glorified like Jesus, we will also know and recognize each other.

Because There Is Forever
Jesus can be understood by the love He demonstrates.
Do you think the love we experienced on Earth will endure to Heaven?
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (KJV)
4 Love suffers long, and is kind; love envies not; love vaunts not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil;
6 Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
7 Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love lives and endures forever.
Jesus is love.
As long as Jesus lives, love lives.
Jesus is King of Heaven.
As long as Jesus lives, Heaven will be filled with love.
When Jesus brings us to Heaven, our love will live and flourish in Heaven
The Lord Harkened and Heard
Jesus Is the One we await.
But, while we’re waiting, Jesus expects us to be good Christians.
Do you think God eavesdrops on your conversations?
The Bible explicitly states God does just that.
Malachi 3:16
16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
God listens to what you say and think.
And, He keeps records.
From the progression Of life from dawn to dusk, God hears our every word.

It Is Written - SONG
Jesus wants to include you and your family in His family.
Ephesians 3:14-15 (KJV)
14… our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named…
What happens to children when they die?
Well…
Let’s look in the Bible.
Psalm 127:3 (KJV)
3…children are an heritage of the LORD:
and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
Did you hear that?
The product of the womb belongs to Jesus!
It is His. If that concept sounds strange to you, listen to…
Romans 12:2 (KJV)
2…be not conformed to this world:
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Do not conform your thinking to this world!
Your future can include Heaven with your children.
The Bible says in Jeremiah chapter 31…
Jeremiah 31:15 (KJV)
15 Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah,
lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted … because they were not.
Jeremiah 31:17 (KJV)
17 And there is hope in thine end, saith the LORD,
that thy children shall come again to their own...
Jeremiah 31:13 (KJV)
13…for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.
Jesus, who is the Judge of all, treats all children as if they were His own; because they are His own.
What happens to a child at death?
Jesus cares for that child. Hence, that child will get the best of the Lord!
How wonderful is the Lord and His marvelous provisions!

Sabbath Sabbath
Jesus often referred to the 7th day of the week. He called it the Sabbath. An example is found in
Luke 6:5 (KJV)
And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath.
But, how does the Bible name the other weekdays? For example, the Bible does not mention the word Sunday. Instead, the Bible calls Sunday “the first day.”
Matthew 28:1 (KJV)
In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
Have you considered how God refers to the days of the week?
It’s in the Bible.
The Bible numbers the days of the week. Of the seven days, the Bible provides a non-numerical name for only one day of the week. That day is the Sabbath, which is the 7th day.
Genesis 1:5 (KJV)
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
Deuteronomy 4:16, 19 (KJV)
16…ye corrupt yourselves…19And…lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them…
In modern times, most people ignore God’s naming convention and use pagan names. Instead of using the names God provided, people call the Sabbath Saturday, which honors the god Saturn. Even though pagan names like “Saturday” and “Sunday” are never used in the Bible, most people still use them. Why do we honor pagan fables by using pagan names for the days of the week? Shouldn’t we use the names God used? After all, God created the week and each day. As the song says, pagan names for God’s days should not persist.

A Roman Nail
Jesus WAS tortured to death.
Jesus IS risen!
Jesus voluntarily allowed nails to be hammered into His body.
I’ve heard people argue about what was nailed to cross.
Was it sin? Was it the law?
It’s in the Bible.
Because the Ten Commandments are eternal, they could not have been symbolically nailed to the cross. Instead the temporary ceremonial laws were symbolically nailed to the cross.
Yet, don’t lose sight of the big picture.
The Bible says in the twenty-second Psalm:
”For dogs have compassed me:
the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.”
What was nailed to cross?
JESUS was nailed to the cross!
A friend said we shouldn’t celebrate holidays, because they’re too self-focused. Although some truth may be in that comment, I can’t stop celebrating Easter every day of the year.
Jesus allowed nails to be hammered into His body.
Those nails are my sins.
When Jesus rose, the scars remained, but the NAILS were gone.
I can’t stop celebrating that!
My sins hurt Jesus, but He dealt with them and did away with them. Jesus deserves to be celebrated every day!
