O Bone Jesu, Ingegneri - alto part
Let me know if this is helpful.
This is double tracking, and doesn't perfectly gel, but hopefully gives you an idea.
Two people, double tracked, mixed to leave one part prominent.

Astra quae terram - Gregorian chant hymn to St Philomena in Latin
It was St Philomena's feast day 12 August. Someone requested me to sing a hymn to St Philomena in Latin. Sure enough there was a thread on the Musica Sacra forum about chant hymns for St Philomena and you can read the rest of the story, and download the PDF on my website:

Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Midday (ad Sextam)
Sing the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Latin
https://littleoffice.brandt.id.au
Here I am singing the hour of Sexta according to the little blue books published by Baronius Press - 1962 version or thereabouts.
Right at the end of the video there was a knock at the door, so I didn't end with the Marian Antiphon.
God bless,

Ave Maria - responsorium brevis, Tempore Paschali
5 / 100 days of Gregorian Chant
I've included an audio description on the end of the recording, where I describe the Brief Responsory or Responsorium Brevis.
The translation is a well known one:
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee (Alleluia, Alleluia)
Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb (Alleluia, Alleluia)
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

Sermo meus - Introit for St Anthony Mary Zaccaria
Day 47 of #100daysofchant
A priest requested recordings of the propers for 5th July for a Missa Cantata celebrating his 20th anniversary of priestly ordination. Here is a video I hope will help someone preparing to sing for this feast day.
SERMO meus, et prædicátio mea non in persuasibÃlibus humánæ sapiéntiæ verbis, sed in ostensióne spÃritus, et virtútis. Ps. 110: 1. Confitébor tibi, Dómine, in toto corde meo, in consÃlio justórum et congregatióne. Gloria Patri.
My speech and my preaching was not in the persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the showing of spirit and power. Ps. I will praise Thee, O Lord with my whole heart, in the council of the just, and in the congregation. Glory be to the Father.

A real quick run through Missa Lux et Origo (Mass 1)
If you could pray - our priest for the camp is unable to come, so we're praying for a priest.
If a priest can come and say Mass, then this plan still holds.

Sometimes devotional books include the Office of the Dead, but they only include the Major Hours: Matins, Lauds and Vespers. I'm going from the Office for All Souls Day. We had the custom of praying Compline from All Souls Day after any evening Requiem Mass, so I am assuming it applies to all the minor hours too.

Ubi Caritas est vera (with one slip into "et amor") Gregorian Chant
Day 87 of #100daysofchant
I went with the "est vera" version thinking that it would be the better version as the new books were using it - like the way some of the Pre-Urbanite versions of hymns were being revived. Unfortunately, this isn't the way most of the groups I sing with sing it. "Ubi caritas et amor" is pretty entrenched. If I ever get around to the new version of A New Book of Old Hymns, this is one of many little changes to be made.

Crudelis Herodes - Gregorian Chant - Vespers Hymn for Epiphany - Roman
Here's the updated (1632) Vespers Hymn for the feast of the Epiphany. It's taken from the longer hymn **A solis ortus cardine** which has a verse beginning with each letter of the alphabet. Unfortunately the update changes the first letter, which kinda defeats the purpose, but the Humanists thought it better that way. Compare and contrast:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaazB4g9xXM
1. Crudelis Herodes, deum
Regem venire quid times?
Non eripit mortalia,
Qui regna dat caelestia.
2. Ibant magi, quam viderant,
Stellam sequentes praeviam:
Lumen requirunt lumine,
Deum fatentur munere.
3. Lavacra puri gurgitis
Caelestis Agnus attigit;
Peccata, quae non detulit,
Nos abluendo sustulit.
4. Novum genus potentiae,
Aquae rubescunt hydriae,
Vinumque jussa fundere
Mutavit unda originem.
5. Jesu, tibi sit Gloria,
Qui apparuisti gentibus,
Cum Patre et almo Spiritu
In sempiterna saecula. Amen.
English:
WHY, impious Herod, vainly fear
that Christ the Saviour cometh here?
He takes no earthly realms away
Who gives the crown that lasts for aye.
To greet His birth the Wise Men went,
led by the star before them sent;
called on by light, towards Light they pressed,
and by their gifts their God confessed.
In holy Jordan's purest wave
the heavenly Lamb vouchsafed to lave;
That He, to whom was sin unknown,
might cleanse His people from their own.
New miracle of power divine!
The water reddens into wine:
He spake the word: and poured the wave
in other streams than nature gave.
All glory, Lord, to Thee we pay
for Thine Epiphany today;
all glory as is ever meet,
to Father and to Paraclete. Amen.

O Gloriosa Virginum - Lauds hymn from the Little Office
This hymn is also the Lauds hymn for the feast of the Immaculate Conception (8th December) - you can find it on page 1314 in your Liber Usualis.
Check out my other Little Office resources:
https://littleoffice.brandt.id.au
A few people have contacted me to say I should make simpler videos, just the singing with the sheet music on the screen.
O gloriosa virginum,
Sublimis inter sidera,
Qui te creavit, parvulum,
Lactente nutris ubere.
Quod Heva tristis abstulit,
Tu reddis almo germine:
Intrent ut astra flebiles,
Caeli recludis cardines.
Tu Regis alti janua
Et aula lucis fulgida:
Vitam datam per Virginem,
Gentes redemptae, plaudite.
Jesu, tibi sit gloria,
Qui natus es de Virgine,
Cum Patre, et almo Spiritu,
In sempiterna saecula. Amen.
In English:
O Queen of all the Virgin choir,
Enthroned above the starry sky;
Who with pure milk from thy own breast
Thy own Creator didst supply.
What man hath lost in hapless Eve,
Thy sacred womb to man restores;
Thou to the sorrowing here beneath
Hast open’d Heaven’s eternal doors.
Hail, O refulgent Hall of light!
Hail, Gate sublime of Heaven’s high King!
Through thee redeem’d to endless life,
Thy praise let all the nations sing.
O Jesu! born of Virgin bright,
Immortal glory be to Thee;
Praise to the Father infinite,
And Holy Ghost eternally.

Salve Mater misericordiae - Hail, Mother of mercy
Day 66 of #100daysofchant
I didn't do a great job here - I missed a verse accidentally and went flat, but hoping that on the balance, it may illuminate another corner of the treasure trove of the Church's patrimony of sacred music.
Refrain: Hail, Mother of mercy, Mother of God, and Mother of pardon, Mother of hope, and Mother of grace, Mother full of holy joy, O Mary!
1. Hail, honor of mankind; hail, Virgin worthier than others, who surpass all virgins and in heaven occupy the highest seat of honor, O Mary!
2. Hail, happy child-bearing Mother, for He Who sits at the right hand of the Father, ruling heaven, earth, and sky, didst enclose Himself within Thy womb, O Mary!
3. The Father created thee, the Only-Begotten One loved thee, the Holy Spirit made thee fruitful, thou art made wholly divine, O Mary!
4. God wondrously created thee; looks on thee, the humble handmaid; seeks thee, the amiable spouse; no one was made similar to thee, O Mary!
5. All the just desire to praise thee, but it is never sufficient; Many praises of thee they receive, but they are utterly deficient, O Mary!
6. O Mother, be our solace; thou Virgin, be our joy; at last, after this exile, join us, rejoicing, to the heavenly choirs, O Mary!

Hostis Herodes - Gregorian Chant - Vespers hymn - Sedulius
Here's the old Vespers Hymn for the feast of the Epiphany. It's taken from the longer hymn *A solis ortus cardine* which has a verse beginning with each letter of the alphabet. I'm singing this as written in the Antiphonale Monasticum (Benedictine). The words were "updated" in 1632 and that's where the slightly different version in the Liber Usualis comes from and I'll upload that version next.
1. Hostis Herodes impie,
Christum venire quid times?
Non eripit mortalia,
Qui regna dat caelestia.
2. Ibant magi, quam viderant,
Stellam sequentes praeviam:
Lumen requirunt lumine,
Deum fatentur munere.
3. Lavacra puri gurgitis
Caelestis Agnus attigit;
Peccata, quae non detulit,
Nos abluendo sustulit.
4. Novum genus potentiae,
Aquae rubescunt hydriae,
Vinumque iussa fundere
Mutavit unda originem.
5. Gloria tibi, Domine,
Qui apparuisti hodie,
Cum Patre et Sancto Spiritu
In sempiterna saecula. Amen.
English:
WHY, impious Herod, vainly fear

Adoro Te Devote - Thomas Aquinas' really cool hymn to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament
Day 83 of #100daysofchant
Everyone should know this one. I keep assuming everyone does, and that's probably why I haven't recorded it already. This is one I loved reading in our parish hymnbook during Mass way back in the 80s, in the Gerard Manley Hopkins translation without the Pelican verse. I would spend Mass memorizing it, even though I'm not sure if I understood it all.
You can find more info about it, plus the pdf for the visuals here:
