Why do some ancient statues and figurines emphasize the navel area? Is it a fertility thing? Or something to do with celebrating life and existence? A person transferring their consciousness into a machine or android body has long been a sci-fi trope. I think some transhumanists think eventually people will be able to transfer their mind into a computer brain. But I don't think they will. At best, that might be able to make a copy of themselves.
