God and Country Biblical Exposition

In this critique of the recent State of the Union Address, I cover seven obvious lies, typical of ungodly, unprincipled political leaders. For the Bible study, I then cover God's state of the nation address - The Oracles against the Nations prophesied in Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel

Since the recent Left Behind movie teaches a certain view of how Biblical prophecy will be fulfilled, and since this view affects the prophetic thinking in the Christian community, and since one of the subjects of this channel is prophecy, this movie deserves a critique. Christians need to discern between what is Eschatological theory and what is Scriptural fact. If we don't, we are going to be unprepared, along with leaving a poor testimony before unbelievers.

This week's program is a very simple study explaining how the Bible attributes the evil in this world to unbelief. Is this obvious? Not really, even conservative pundits never refer to the unbelief of certain politicians or Leftist social activists. However, the root problem is very basic. These people do not believe in God. The Bible defines them as unbelievers.

Last week the World Economic Forum met again in Davos to promote their globalist vision. In all of the angst we might have over the WEF agenda, we are to realize God is behind this. He is directing the spirit of the age so that people will globalize. The Bible study is Revelation 17:17, "For God has put it in their hearts to execute His purpose by having a common purpose, and by giving their kingdom to the beast . . ."

The final exhortation to the church (in the last days) is to stand up. speak up, and never compromise. Included in this program is a Bible study concerning how standing up for God's moral law is tantamount to standing for the Faith. I also do a book review of Eric Metaxas' new book, "Letter to the American Church."

The second major truth that the church needs to hear in these times is to refocus on evangelism and missions. That may seem obvious in every age, but it is especially important now since there are many alternative activities vying for our time. This program includes a study on evangelism in the book of the Revelation.

For the next few weeks I will be doing a series about certain truths the Church needs to hear, given the prophetic times in which we live. Just as each one of the churches of the Revelation received a specific message given their time and circumstances, there are certain necessary truths Christians need to understand given the moral decline in the world. The first truth is addressed in this program: #1 - The church needs to know that in the last days there will be a great outbreak of evil because God will remove his restraint on evil. According the 2 Thessalonians 2, this is what Paul wanted the church to know and look for. Although this truth may seem obvious and straightforward, it is very deep and often dismissed

Michelle Obama has a new book out on the Christmas shelves; and as I skimmed the book, I realized reviewing the book would be a great way to contrast the Christian worldview with the Humanist worldview. Since most Americans are Biblically illiterate, they have no idea how far they have drifted from Biblical truth. As in the words of Christ, they teach for doctrine the precepts of men. God's people need to testify to the truth in the face of so much Christless self-help.

The Senate passed the pro-same-sex Respect for Marriage Act 61 to 39, By codifying LGBTQI + in Federal law, this bill will give Federal agencies authority to prosecute individuals and organizations that do not support LGBTQI+ ideology. We knew this was coming. The Left's desire to force the acceptance of immorality would eventually trump first amendment rights. This is another sign of the time. I concluded with three spiritual lessons we can learn from this event

The violence we are seeing on the news is the wrath of man. However, the ungodly will attribute the consequences of their own sin to an alleged persecution and oppression of the unrighteous by the righteous. Basically, they will blame God and His people for their own dysfunction. The early church father, Justin Martyr wrote the Apologia to explain to the Roman people that the Christians were not to blame for all of the trouble in the empire; it was coming from the immoral unbelievers themselves. He is called Justin the Martyr because they put him to death for telling the truth. History is repeating itself now that the West is returning to paganism

Christian Nationalism is not a new doctrine. The church has always believed that Christ is King and the nations must operate under the law of God. Where Christian Nationalism can go amok is in (1) making the subjugation of earthly kingdoms the main goal of the church, and (2) in preaching that the subjugation will actually take place in the present age. Although we preach the rule of Christ, we understand that it will not be fully realized until Christ returns to set up His heavenly Kingdom. As far as this unsaved word, Jesus taught, They would not have this man rule over them" (Luke 19). This explains the Left's outrage over any talk of Christian Nationalism.

Christless Conservatism is that brand of Conservatism which promotes laws, principles, and virtues, that align with the Bible, but leaves off Christ and the Gospel. My thesis is this: Christless Conservativism will not save America, it may even make things worse. I cover what the Bible says about the powerlessness of the law to make people good. I cover the example Pelagius, and then I give some current examples, including a short critique of Jordan Peterson’s Conservative Manifesto.

As throughout all history, the politicians, the media, and the pundits imagine they determine the outcome of elections, but God says otherwise. “God is judge, He puts down one and exalts another” (Psalm 75). Given the upcoming midterm election, it is time once again to review this crucial doctrine. Be encouraged! No matter how powerful and popular the candidate might be, God is in charge of who wins elections. We will get into office exactly those people God ordains – either for national blessing or cursing; but it always works for the good of God’s people.

The New Testament extensively deals with the issue of those who use "Grace" as an excuse to set aside the Law of God. These people believe grace is a license to sin. In 21st century vocabulary, it is not called "Grace" but "Compassion." Lawlessness is being promoted under the guise of compassion. In this program I explain the Biblical doctrine and the opposing error.

I was asked to do a program about prepping. Fortunately, the Bible has much to say about making preparations for the future - both about making right and wrong preparation. Some prepping is godly; other prepping is faithlessness and sin. There are Scripture verses that teach that faith means to not worry about tomorrow. However, other verses require us to watch and be prepared. With faith, sanctified wisdom and right motives, Christians can discern which texts apply in any given situation. This we do know, the Bible constantly makes the point that spiritual prepping is far more important than physical prepping.

In a speech last week, Biden warned of a coming nuclear conflict. In this program, I review the situation in Ukraine and the factors contributing to the ominous concerns. Nevertheless, the Scriptures remind us that “man does not know his time . . . so the sons of men are ensnared at an evil time when it suddenly falls on them” (Ecc. 12:9).

This week's program is an explanation of the Postmillennial movement in the reformed community, in view of the prophesied apocalypse. I do a brief review of Joseph Boot's book, "The Mission of God." For years I have been sounding the alarm that the apocalypse is coming. I may sound like a broken record, but "Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near" (Revelation 1:3).

In this final message of Micah (Chapter 6-7), Micah again rails against the nation’s economic theft and dishonesty. Economic corruption should not be overlooked. This is a serious indictment against America’s current dollar printing. It is a sign of the moral lawlessness that will hasten the judgment of God.

To increase our discernment and knowledge of the Word of God, for the next three weeks I will be dispensing with the news and be doing a study in the Old Testament book of Micah. Like all of the prophets, Micah addresses three main subjects: (1) the sins of the people, (2) the judgment to come, and (3) the Messianic blessings to come for the true Israel of God. You are what you eat. If you consume the Word of God, God will straighten out your thinking, and you will become radical counter-culture.

In 1963, America outlawed the teaching of Christianity in public schools. The persecution was identical to the ruling of the Sanhedrin against the Apostles, "You shall not speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus." The recent parental protests at school board meetings is too little, too late. The public schools have challenged God by saying we can raise good children without Christ. How do you think that will end?

On August 16th the Democrats passed the Inflation Reduction Act. The bill is all about funding Democrat special interest groups. The brazenness of calling it and inflation reduction bill is another example of political deceit and greed. The bill is the Green New Deal pared down and repackaged. These politicians (in their climate change delusion) believe that by spending 370 billion dollars they can cool down the earth. Need I say anything more?

On this week's program, I review a Turning Point USA pastor's conference in Coronado California. God has raised up Charlie Kirk and his organization, Turning Point, to teach conservative values through conferences, seminars and college campus events. I felt compelled to attend the conference to discover what these evangelical leaders had to say about America's woes and the solutions. These were solid, politically engaged, evangelicals; and they emphasized what was needed for this moment - we need to be bold, stand up, and speak out concerning the sins of the nation. I discuss a topic that should have been breached, but maybe, it is not time.

In conjunction with a tract I am putting together for Jewish evangelism, this week's program is about Israel, the Jews, Jewish evangelism, and the prophetic future of Israel.
