Santa Monica High School is just a few blocks from world famous Santa Monica Beach, a great reason for the students there to take a special interest in keeping it clean and free of trash. The school's multi-awarding Team Marine does that...and a lot more in part 1 of their story!

Taylor Francis is a teen committed to stopping global warming within his lifetime and he's taking his message to students and adults around the globe! On a resent trip to China he spoke with students and learned that his counterparts in the world’s largest country are definitely onboard!

We all know what it means to live "large." But we found one teen aspiring to live SMALL! He's building his own "mini house." IIt's a home that minimizes the resident's footprint on the planet.

The Santa Cruz Island summer interns help to set up hidden cameras in locations around the island to capture images of potential invasive species that are not desirable on the island. They get some pretty interesting videos!

There is obviously a lot of trash that doesn't have a second use...or does it? Brendan went to a landfill where the trash goes 200 feet deep. Trash piles produce methane gas and this place is putting it to good use.

Jordan climbs on board the Kitty Kat, a boat on a mission to the Farallon Islands off the coast of California. The trip has the special purpose of returning seven sea lions to the ocean in a protected sanctuary, but also provides the opportunity to do some whale watching!
