Episode 87 - How Did JFK's Promises Work at Cross Purposes? (Conspirator #3, Part II)
For more content from Barry Jones, go to sphistory.com. During the '60 campaign, JFK promised the anti-Castroites he would be "more aggressive" than Eisenhower & Nixon in removing Castro and re-opening Cuba. After the Bay of Pigs, JFK promised Khrushchev that he would shut down Operation 40, foreclosing on any future invasions of Cuba. Instead, he changed the name to Operation Mongoose, doubling down on efforts to overthrow Castro. After the Cuban Missile Crisis, JFK promised Khrushchev (for real this time, I promise!) that he would shut down Operation Mongoose and end plans to invade Cuba. Two months later, JFK promised the anti-Castro Cubans in Miami that the fight would go on. He broke his earlier promises to Khrushchev, keeping his promises to the anti-Castroites. After the Cuban Missile Crisis, he kept his promise to Khrushchev and broke his promises to the anti-Castroites. Follow all that?

Episode 88 - Did the Anti-Castroites Hate JFK Enough to Kill Him? (Conspirator #3, Part III)
For more content from Barry Jones, go to sphistory.com. Passion for a cause can be lethal. Especially if betrayal of that cause is involved. Though the Warren Commission was compromised, Fabian Escalante, Charles de Gaulle, and Bobby Kennedy each arrived at the same conclusions independent of one another - one of them even named names. Interesting that the world knew almost instantly what America has stubbornly refused to acknowledge. Maybe Colonel Jessup was right. Maybe we CAN'T handle the truth. Any wonder America's voice for democracy isn't listened to anymore?

Episode 89 - Why Did Texans Immediately Suspect LBJ in JFK Assassination? (Conspirator #4, Part I)
For more content from Barry Jones, go to sphistory.com. The way in which "Landslide Lyndon" won the Democrat nomination for the 1948 Texas Senate election by 87 votes convinced Texans that their native son played dirty. The way in which 3 of his "Box 13" co-conspirators died in subsequent years convinced Texans that LBJ played for keeps. Why would 1963 be any different?

Episode 90 - What Do LBJ's Friends Reveal About LBJ? (Conspirator #4, Part II)
For more content from Barry Jones, go to sphistory.com. Lawyers (lots of them), big-money business (oil, construction, etc.), a con-man, a bag-man, and a hit-man...all constitute the orbit around LBJ from the beginning of his political career until the end. If the Gilded Age invented government corruption, LBJ perfected it. The pay-to-play maharishi. The government gangster. LBJ was the Ultra Vires doctrine in the flesh - the embodiment of personal financial gain over the public interest, caring nothing about moral implications, legal boundaries, and/or ethical guardrails. A sociopath.

Episode 86 - What Made Miami a Hotbed of Anti-Castro Activities? (Conspirator #3, Part I)
For more content from Barry Jones, go to sphistory.com.Three interests saw potential in the influx of anti-Castroite Cuban refugees into Miami, New Orleans, and Dallas, including right-wing business interests (the Luce, Pawley, and Hunt empires), the CIA, and organized crime figures. The common denominator for them was money. Cuba (without Castro) was worth a lot of money to them. The anti-Castro Cuban refugees had more altruistic motives - among which included a return to their homeland and a free Cuba. Combine all these interests and you have a tempest in a teapot.

For more content from Barry Jones, go to sphistory.com. Organized crime comes through...again. It's a long track record of success: Operation Husky, Operation Underworld, the French Connection, the 1960 West Virginia primary, and now Illinois and the 1960 general election. After successfully serving the interests of the US government during the 1940s, organized crime's reward was a decade of persecution during the 1950s. After winning the election for the Kennedys in 1960, what will its reward be THIS time?

Episode 82 - How Had US Gov't & Organized Crime Become Partners in Cuba? (Conspirator 2, Part III)
For more content from Barry Jones, go to sphistory.com. Organized crime worked with the US Government to win WW II. It also worked with the CIA to smuggle heroin and opium from the Golden Triangle, through France, Italy, and Sicily, into the final stopping-off point in Cuba before reaching the ultimate destination - the inner cities of the United States. In other words, Cuba became a key part of the French Connection, earning the CIA millions to finance its covert ops around the globe. Cuba was also lucrative to American big business - the legitimate kind - AND the organized crime syndicate - the illegitimate kind. In sum, Cuba was worth billions to the United States. As long as it controlled the government in Cuba, there was a lot of money to be made. If something (or someone) ever came along that threatened these money spigots, there would be hell to pay. Someone did.

For more content from Barry Jones, go to sphistory.com. Prohibition gave organized crime a way to make lots of money. WW II gave organized crime a way to serve its country. The 1950s gave organized crime and organized labor a gift neither wanted - publicity, attention, exposure, and questions. Lots of questions. At the beginning of the decade, Cosa Nostra and the Teamsters were riding a high horse. By the end of the decade, both were staggered. They needed relief.

Episode 75 - What If the Power Elites Were Right About JFK? (Conspirator #1, Part VIII)
For more content from Barry Jones, go to sphistory.com. In a clash between opposing worldviews, JFK represented the biggest threat to the American Empire that its gangsters of war had ever encountered. Not only was he an obstacle to the objectives of their national security apparatus (and their money spigots), he was an over-sexed, drugged-up paramour with treasonous intentions and cowardly tendencies. Somebody had to do the hard, but patriotic thing and remove this cancer from the Oval Office before his worldview prevailed. This was too important to leave to the American people. In a Cold War setting, he had to be dealt with like an enemy combatant would be dealt with, by force. This was the consensus view of the national security apparatus - the Joint Chiefs, the FBI, and the CIA. Were they right?

Episode 73 - 1962: How Did JFK Cross the Power Elites? (Conspirator #1, Part VI)
For more content from Barry Jones, go to sphistory.com. The Power Elites (DEEP State) - defined as the national security apparatus combined with the corporations that feed it. No year better illustrates the war that is taking place between the Kennedy Administration and the Power Elites of the United States than 1962. First, a fight against one of the largest, most powerful corporate structures in the world, followed by a struggle against the national security apparatus surrounding the Commander-in-Chief. If 1961 confirmed JFK as an enemy of the Power Elites and their profits-at-the-expense-of-the-public-interest-and/or-moral-implications operating principle, 1962 confirmed that he was an enemy that the Power Elites could not wait out. He must be dealt with forthwith.

Episode 71 - How Did Eisenhower Cater to the Power Elites? (Conspirator #1, Part IV)
For more content from Barry Jones, go to sphistory.com. Eisenhower's "New Look" foreign policy, "brinksmanship", the Eisenhower Doctrine, McCarthyism...all necessary to fan the flames of the Red Scare - necessary to feed the beast he himself helped create. Eisenhower's famous Farewell Address warned Americans of a "military-industrial" complex, leaving out the most important participant in this golden triangle - the politicians that turn on the money spigot with their votes. Proof that the public sector had learned its Ultra Vires lesson from the private sector well: Maximize profits in spite of the public interest and/or moral implications and immunize yourself from any liability. Proof also that Eisenhower's warning was disingenuous at best. Pity the poor fool that ever tries to tame this tiger. There are about 50-60 people who care very much about profitability and very little about morality who are keeping score. These people used to be positioned exclusively in the private sector. However, these Power Elites now have some of their key people ensconced in the highest public offices in Washington. They are buttons waiting to be pushed.

Episode 70 - How Did the Power Elite Practice ULTRA VIRES in WW II? (Conspirator #1, Part III)
For more content from Barry Jones, go to sphistory.com. What interest did the American companies Brown Brothers Harriman, Sullivan & Cromwell, and Union Banking Company have in financing Hitler's rise to power in post-WW I Germany? What interest did American Power Elite figures such as Prescott Bush, Allen Dulles, John Foster Dulles, and James Angleton have in immunizing US clients from postwar liability, protecting US companies' assets from wartime destruction, and shielding Nazi war criminals from postwar justice? What guided all these actions - the maximization of profits or the public interest? Personal and/or corporate benefits or moral implications? Whose (or, what) interest prevented the American government from taking action to protect European Jews from a Final Solution fate? Ultra Vires in the private sector is exploitation. Ultra Vires in the public sector is genocide.

Episode 69 - How, When, and Why Did the US Government Incorporate? (Conspirator #1, Part II)
For more content from Barry Jones, go to sphistory.com. The post-Civil War era introduced the Corporation and its Ultra Vires operating principle to the private sector, creating a US economy that was completely controlled by "less than 100 men" (FDR's words). The WW I era showed these men how much profit could be made during war, hooking them on the drug of blood money. The WW II era and all its possibilities introduced a new money-making partnership in perpetuity - the corporations, the government, and the military - known simply as the military-industrial congressional complex with the same 50-60 men making up this new Power Elite. There's your DEEP State.
