*VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED*
Bridge City News spoke with an independent journalist in Ukraine to hear what they are seeing and experiencing. BCN’s Jeanette Rocher chatted with Christelle Neant, a French National who’s been living in the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine covering the civil conflict in the area for the last six years, including this more recent conflict. She says westerners are not getting the whole story from national and international news outlets. In fact, she says some of the atrocities are being carried out by Ukrainians on other Ukrainians.

Court hearings begin for former Ontario MPP | Randy Hillier | Guest | Bridge City News
Aired on: Tuesday August 01, 2023
The vast majority of politicians supported government health mandates and lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, some enthusiastically supported. However, one former Ontario MPP did not. Randy Hillier originally faced 25 charges for speaking up against the mandates. Many of the charges have been dropped by the Crown, but he was in court recently to answer to the remining charges. Hillier says the Crown argued that if the Charter of Rights and Freedoms were to be violated consistently, then those violations will eventually become lawful.

Non-profit fires employee after giving one week deadline to get fully vaccinated
Many companies and government agencies are requiring staff to receive the COVID vaccine as a condition of employment. While Alberta government agencies have given staff until the end of October to become compliant, one Edmonton organization has already begun releasing un-vaccinated staff with very little notice to receive both doses. Jeannette Rocher interviewed one of those employees, Lisa Noble who was informed on September 17 that she would have to be fully vaccinated by September 24 (one week later) or lose her job.
We reached out to the non-profit organization she worked for to understand their side of the story, however they have not responded to our multiple requests.
