The suspect who led Walton County Sheriff’s Office deputies on a multi-county pursuit ending in a shootout is sentenced to half a century in prison. On February 8, 2023, Dallas Francis, 35, was sentenced to 50 years in the Florida Department of Corrections with a 20-year minimum mandatory sentence for attempted second-degree murder of a law enforcement officer with a firearm, two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, grand theft, and fleeing and eluding.

The Lexington police department were not made aware of the incident, and this is not the first time the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office has kept the department out of the loop on incidents happening within the city. Those strained tensions between the two departments lead to intense moments.

Two police officers were assaulted while attempting to break up a disorderly crowd outside of a Midtown migrant shelter Saturday 01/27. A police officer and lieutenant initially told a group of men, all believed to be illegal migrants, to move from the front of a building that has been operating as a shelter since last March. A scuffle broke out and several men assaulted the police officers, kicking them in the head and body. One officer suffered cuts to the face while the other was treated for bruising to the body.

On December 3, 2023, at approximately 0507 hours, NYPD officers responded to 467 Beach 22nd St., Queens, for a 9-1-1 call of Multiple people stabbed at that location. Upon arrival, officers encountered the suspect standing in front of the location. Officers began to question the suspect to ascertain information about his presence there. As officers questioned the suspect, he produced a knife from his rear pocket with his right hand and began to stab the officers. One officers was stabbed on the left side of his neck, and the other was stabbed in his left temple. As a result, one of the officers discharged his service weapon and shot the suspect. The suspect was struck by the gunfire and fell to the ground. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Officers were also transported to a hospital and treated for their injuries. Further investigation revealed that prior to the suspect’s encounter with the officers, he had stabbed five member of his family inside of the residence. Four of the victims succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased, while one victim survived.

On February 1, 2023, At approximately 0200 hours, officers located a stolen vehicle in the 3200 blk of N. Belt Line Rd. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop but the vehicle took off. A pursuit began and officers chased the vehicle with an unknown number of occupants into Dallas.The driver of the vehicle lost control near IH35/Woodall Rogers, wrecked, & unfortunately, the 4 occupants died as a result of the crash.

The trooper and both drivers only suffered minor injuries and were treated and released from the hospital.

On Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at approximately 1:48 a.m., Riverside Police Officers assigned to the Field Operations Division conducted an occupied vehicle check in an apartment driveway along the 3600 block of Banbury Drive, located in the La Sierra neighborhood of Riverside. During the contact, the suspect driver produced a firearm and an officer-involved shooting occurred. Officers immediately began life-saving measures until paramedics with the Riverside Fire Department arrived. The suspect was then taken to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

On November 29, 2023 Deputy Ruezga was patrolling in the unincorporated area of Modesto when he came across an unresponsive man on the side of the road. Due to Deputy Ruezga’s quick response the man made a full recovery. #polizei #police #policia #cops #deputy #trooper #dashcam #bodycam #rescue

On March 29, 2023, around 9:10 p.m., Foothill Area patrol officers responded to a radio call on the 13100 block of Judd Street for a battery investigation. The subject of the radio call, 35 year old, Joseph Bayardo, was placed under a private person’s arrest by his father, and booked at Valley Jail Section, (Booking No. 6577335). On March 31, 2023, around 12:35 p.m., Bayardo was found unresponsive in his cell. Jail personnel and medical dispensary staff were immediately summoned to Bayardo’s cell and began administering Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and other life saving measures. The Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics responded and asummed medical care. Bayardo did not respond to medical treatment and was pronounced deceased. Representatives from the County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner–Coroner responded to the scene.
