In this clip from the 1/26/23, Bonner County Commissioners Bradshaw and Omodt come across as rude to Commissioner Williams. She mentioned that legal had already looked at what she was proposing, and HR had said that this proposal for board policy did not need a workshop. www.thebushnellreport.com

During the Bonner County Commissioner weekly business meeting (1/26/23) it appears that Commissioner Bradshaw may have been a part of violating Idaho Open Meeting Law for years. Idaho Statue 74-206 goes over the very few things that should be discussed in executive session. Board policy is not one of them. This is important because committee heads tend to kill bills they don't like so they are never heard by a committee. The North Idaho College Board of Trustees had a discussion at their 12/21/22 meeting regarding bringing women's wrestling to NIC. A motion was discussed to have the president of the college consider adding women's wrestling for the next school year (2023-2024). This motion asked for school leadership to see if it is a benefit to the college, and if it could be done within the current budget or not. It passed 3-2. Banducci, Waggoner, and McKenzie voted yes. Corkill and Zimmerman voted no. Why did Corkill and Zimmerman vote no? Corkill said he was a huge supporter of NIC athletics when he was campaigning this past fall. Why did Corkill want to tie this motion to accreditation warnings? This is just to ask for this issue to be looked into. The college needs to plan ahead and work on the accreditation warnings at the same time to be successful.

Chad asked a great question at the Dec 21st meeting of the North Idaho College Board of Trustees. He asked what is the charter or purpose of the Board of Trustees. From the NIC webpage: North Idaho College is governed by a volunteer five-member board of trustees who are elected at large from within Kootenai County for staggered, four-year terms. Trustees derive their authority from and hold office in accordance with Idaho Code. The responsibilities of the board of trustees are outlined in policy #02.01.02 of the North Idaho College Policy Manual, and include the following: To determine the broad general policies which govern the operation of the college district. To select and appoint the president of the college who is responsible for the general administration and implementation of board policies in the ongoing operations of the college.
