Why is a 12 year old concern about a school levy?
Why is a 7th grader concerned about a school district levy?
If a parent has discussed this topic with their child I would understand.
From what I have been hearing the CDA school district is telling kids to be concerned about the levy.

Idaho Representative Brent Crane on HB24
From Citizens Alliance of Idaho's Telegram Page:
"The distinguished gentleman from District 13, Representative Brent Crane stood to declare yesterday's floor debate on H24 among the top 3 debates he has ever participated in during his 16 years in the House.
Rep. Crane then goes on to dismantle any reasonable argument supporting this bill. Reminding his colleagues to not squander the resources we have during the good times that would set us up for failure during lean years. "
Thank Rep. Crane TODAY for standing up for all Idahoans common sense."

Bonner County Commissioner Roles
Did I misunderstand one of the Bonner County Commissioners? Did he say that another elected official in Bonner County can't say no to a commissioner? That is not correct.

Bonner County has County Commissioners Who Don't Listen
In this clip from the 1/26/23, Bonner County Commissioners Bradshaw and Omodt come across as rude to Commissioner Williams. She mentioned that legal had already looked at what she was proposing, and HR had said that this proposal for board policy did not need a workshop.

Bonner County Commissioner Meeting - 1/26/23
During the Bonner County Commissioner weekly business meeting (1/26/23) it appears that Commissioner Bradshaw may have been a part of violating Idaho Open Meeting Law for years.
Idaho Statue 74-206 goes over the very few things that should be discussed in executive session. Board policy is not one of them.
Join me in emailing the following people to ask that these multiple Idaho Open Meeting Laws violations be remedied.

Mike Moyle on Idaho House and Senate Committee Rules
In this clip from the Idaho Reports YouTube channel, the Idaho Speaker of the House discusses how committee rules need to be changed and decided on by both the Idaho Senate and House.
This is important because committee heads tend to kill bills they don't like so they are never heard by a committee. Not all bills need a full House reading but the various committee should be able to read and talk about all bills assigned to them.

Women's Wrestling at North Idaho College
The North Idaho College Board of Trustees had a discussion at their 12/21/22 meeting regarding bringing women's wrestling to NIC.
A motion was discussed to have the president of the college consider adding women's wrestling for the next school year (2023-2024). This motion asked for school leadership to see if it is a benefit to the college, and if it could be done within the current budget or not. It passed 3-2. Banducci, Waggoner, and McKenzie voted yes. Corkill and Zimmerman voted no.
Why did Corkill and Zimmerman vote no? Corkill said he was a huge supporter of NIC athletics when he was campaigning this past fall.
Why did Corkill want to tie this motion to accreditation warnings? This is just to ask for this issue to be looked into. The college needs to plan ahead and work on the accreditation warnings at the same time to be successful.

ICRMP and North Idaho College
The NIC Board of Trustees, at their 12/21 meeting, were discussing insurance and why certain topics should stay in executive session. A mention of how the appointed trustees knew about the insurance issue with ICRMP yet didn't know all of the details was interesting.

Chad - Public Comment NIC Board of Trustee Meeting - 12/21/22
Chad asked a great question at the Dec 21st meeting of the North Idaho College Board of Trustees. He asked what is the charter or purpose of the Board of Trustees.
From the NIC webpage:
North Idaho College is governed by a volunteer five-member board of trustees who are elected at large from within Kootenai County for staggered, four-year terms. Trustees derive their authority from and hold office in accordance with Idaho Code.
The responsibilities of the board of trustees are outlined in policy #02.01.02 of the North Idaho College Policy Manual, and include the following:
To determine the broad general policies which govern the operation of the college district.
To select and appoint the president of the college who is responsible for the general administration and implementation of board policies in the ongoing operations of the college.
To approve annual budgets.

Mike - Public Comment NIC Board of Trustee Meeting 12/21/22
Mike gave public comment at the 12/21/22 North Idaho College Board of Trustees Meeting.
I find this part of his public comment hypocritical. He wants taxpayer money to not be wasted but as of 12/21 he had filed a lawsuit against North Idaho College. Isn't that also wasting taxpayer money?
LInk to article regarding his lawsuit: https://www.krem.com/article/news/local/idaho/lawsuit-filed-against-nic-trustees-and-attorney/293-99d31c02-726b-4b4f-8b7f-fbc450eb526e
