Considered one of the prettiest birds, it has orange, green, white, blue-ish, and black feathers, some of which curl up into a "sail" shape . Female mandarin ducks are nowhere near as distinctive, and it can often be difficult to distinguish them from the closely related native female wood ducks .Female mandarin ducks are gray but have a pale tip at the bill and a stripe behind the eye.

Galapagos tortoise happily snacks fresh apple
Two tortoises in the park are eating fresh apple . Galapagos live in so many types of environments with different sources of foods available to them, it’s hard to give a general rule for what they can eat as a whole. Because of the wide variety of species and natural environments (and age-related needs, too), there’s some research involved in making sure your tortoise gets the right diet at the right stage of life.

Two predators are chasing each other
In the wild life it is normal to find two animals like polar bear and wolf chasing each other . Polar bears are mostly carnivorous. They eat the ringed seal as well as the bearded seal and other pinnipeds. Additionally, polar bears are opportunistic as well as predatory: they will consume dead fish and carcasses of stranded whales and eat garbage near human settlements . Polar bears are solitary and overwhelmingly carnivorous, feeding especially on the ringed seal but also on the bearded seal and other pinnipeds. The bear stalks seals resting on the ice, ambushes them near breathing holes, and digs young seals from snow shelters where they are born.

Peacocks showing their beautiful feathers
Peacocks are ground-dwelling birds, eating insects, plants, fruit, seeds, ants, flies, snakes and amphibians. They live in forests, farmland, bushland and other warm regions with easy access to low trees. The main purpose a peacock’s colorful tail trail is to attract peahens for mating. Performing a peculiar dance fascinates peahens and attracts them to mate. Some studies have shown that peacocks can fake a copulatory call in order to attract more peahens. Peahens choose a peacock based on its size, color and quantity of tail trains.

Green chameleon dancing in her cage
In the zoo the green chameleon is dancing in her cage . Chameleons mostly live in the rain forests and deserts of Africa. The color of their skin helps them blend in with their habitats. Chameleons that hang out in trees are usually green. Those that live in deserts are most often brown.
They often change color to warm up or cool down. (Turning darker helps warm the animals because the dark colors absorb more heat.) They also switch shades to communicate with other chameleons, using bright colors to attract potential mates or warn enemies.

Giant Galapagos tortoise enjoys relaxing in the mud
Galápagos tortoises lead an uncomplicated life, grazing on grass, leaves, and cactus, basking in the sun, and napping nearly 16 hours per day. A slow metabolism and large internal stores of water mean they can survive up to a year without eating or drinking. Tortoises lay eggs. Females lay their eggs in nest holes, which they cover and leave. Babies hatch in four to eight months. They are on their own from the beginning.

Tiger hunting
At the beginning of a tiger’s life, cubs feed on their mother’s milk, before moving onto the meat she catches. Once the cubs are around eight to ten months old they will start to hunt with their mother, spending the next year or two learning how to hunt from her example. The mother will play with her cubs in order to teach her offspring useful life skills like pouncing and stalking. She will take her cubs on hunting expeditions to showcase how a kill is made, in the hope that the cubs will mimic her technique. Once their training is complete, the next generation of hunters will leave their mother’s side and seek their own territories in which to hunt for prey.
