The Graf Boys

50 tench are to be tagged as part of a research project for Fish & Game, New Zealand - to determine the extent, age, and health of the population. Coarse fishing is an under supported resource in New Zealand, and one we hope to see improve.

We head to the majestic Hollyford Valley, Fiordland - to the tops - and also have a hunt in the Takitimu Mountains, Te Anau.

Hunter, Ross Twedie, shows us his 15 point red stag taken in the Mt ruapehu district, this roar - 2012. It's nice to know there's still the odd nice stag about.

It's 11am in the morning, and to think you're going to roar a wild stag out into the open, is pushing the imagination - but that's just what the boys do here!
