THIS SIDE OF MIDNIGHT by David Halk
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DNLK4D7
Christopher Irving is reserved, clean, intelligent, and...different. His interest in things old and of things dead has led him too far. His strange habits have brought him to isolation and failure. But when a mysterious voice taunts him with forecasts of his own death, Christopher sets out to stop it no matter what it takes. His life of wearing snappy polo shirts and eating dried apricots has expanded to include indulging in a bit of savage retribution. The line between the living and the dead becomes blurred with deadly consequences in this dark psychological thriller.
THE KEEPER OF THE FLAME by David Halk
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083RCRHPH
Hundreds of thousands of years ago, before Man knew how to create fire, a spark from Nature could mean the difference between life and death. The precious fire started by a lightning strike was harnessed by the Logok tribe. One man was put in charge of keeping the fire alive. If the fire should die, then so should he. Gelp, the young inept man who was useless at hunting and fighting, was given the sacred duty. Keeping the fire alive consumed all of his life, costing him his freedom and everything that he loved. But in the midst of war, anguish, and treachery, Gelp discovers the strength to rise up against his adversaries, reclaim his life, and defend the honor of the ancient Logok tribe. But the fiercest warrior of the tribe and his traitorous band of henchmen stood in the way. This is the story of one man facing off against terrifyingly high odds in a primitive and brutal world.

CIRCLE OF JACKASSES by Charlie Chatham Chaswick
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BMLFKLTK
The stories in this work include parodies of long-standing genres and original tales of irreverent occurrence. Each story involves humor that neither conforms to political correctness or social standards of good taste. These stories are not for the weak-hearted. These stories are for adults and include profanity, violence, sex, degenerate behavior, and spectacular drama and action. You may even find a moral or two thrown in somewhere amongst them. If you do, it was completely accidental.

Drone Flight...The Mysterious Hole in the Field
This is commentary on the video of a drone flight a friend and I recently made. It documents the mysterious large hole in the ground revealed by the drone's camera, that we had no idea was there due to our vantage point at low elevation. Its existence only became known upon viewing the drone's video at home (The Syma X5C's camera is not a live-feed). Add this to the growing list of strange things such as clowns in corn fields, hermits peaking out of the woods, and many other strange features documented by amateur drone flights.

I review the Gzsaipasi Molle Tactical Pouch. A nice little pouch to keep your small things separate and organized. Good for compartmentalizing in a backpack for hiking or camping.

Action Cam - 12/27/2018
Trying out my new action camera for the first time - the Apeman Trawo A100. It's an excellent camera, but I rigged up a cheap mount to wear on my cap. Since then I've gotten a proper head strap mount.

Hideaway Fort
This is a highly camouflaged fort I found accidentally while bicycling. Whoever built it is extremely clever, as it is situated in a small patch of trees directly between a country road and a rural route. It's made of the surrounding wood and rock and cannot be seen without knowing it's there or catching a lucky glimpse at the structured pattern of the exterior log wall. Maybe it's used just to hang out or as a bug out shelter. Very strange.

Walk with the Apeman A70 Action Camera - First Shoot
This is the first shoot I made with the Apeman A70 action camera to test its abilities. For a $40 camera, it gives very good video at 1080p 30 fps. It has great clarity, color, and motion. The anti-shake function helps to smooth out minor wobbles, although higher-priced cameras will eliminate much more shaking. The lens angle is permanently set at a very wide angle (170 degrees), making it useful for getting lots of scenery in the shot, such as when hiking or biking or practically any outdoor activity. All in all, a good little action camera for such a low price.

MONSTER SIGHTING IN APPALACHIA!
Now I been hiking in the Appalachians for years and let me tell you something - I have seen some pretty strange things out there and seen signs and clues of even stranger things. Nobody can come closer to proving there's monsters in the mountains than Mountain Monster's AIMS team in their quest to prove the existence of Bigfoot in the Appalachians. Jeff ran into some damn queer frightening thing in the mountains of West Virginia and lucky his thermo-cam picked up the terrifying creature.

Bike Ride 2019-03-22 - First Handle-mounted Cam Run Apeman A70
This is the first bike ride I took with the Apeman A70 action camera mounted to the handle bars. It's a little shaky and noisy, but its wide-angle lens and 1080p resolution capture a great view straight ahead while riding.
