Achiote chicken is already incredible. In fact, it is the ONLY BBQ chicken that I like. However, due to a tip from a viewer plus my desire to increase the garlic flavor of the chicken, I have been able to SUPERCHARGE the flavor. BTW, one final way to SUPERCHARGE the achiote chicken is to refrigerate it. I find the cooling process gels the chicken fat in such a way as to further heighten the flavor. It is not for everybody since most people would prefer warm chicken but I actually like it cold. You can find the recipe at a previous achiote chicken video I made below. It's absolutely AMAZING how lucky my wife is at the casino. Many of you have seen my previous videos of just how lucky my wife is. We came out of the Caesar's casino in Pompano Beach (where the old harness track was) as winners FIVE TIMES in a row. However, a month ago on the sixth try there we LOST. That's the bad news. However the GOOD NEWS is that due to our money management we only lost $20. We took that as a sign that Lady Luck didn't want us to take too much of an advantage with my over the top LUCKY wife so we gave going to the casino a breather until September 1 when we switched casinos to go to the Seminole Coconut Creek. As you can see in this video, Lady Luck rewarded our restraint by blessing my wife with a BIG WIN (almost $300) starting at just THIRTY FIVE SECONDS into her first play in a month. We cashed that out and put $20 back into the slots and Lady Luck blessed us a couple more times until finally keeping our $20 offering. At that point I told my wife it was time to go but she wanted to press her luck so we put another $20 into the Cleopatra slots but, as I knew would happen, we lost that to by defying what Lady Luck was telling us. At that point we left. Our winnings totaled over $400 minus what Lady Luck kept which meant about $380 net. Better to leave a casino with money in your pocket than in the machine. Unfortunately, most people do not respect Lady Luck and keep on playing until no matter how much they win, it inevitably goes right back into the slot machines. So if you are blessed with natural luck as my wife is, you STILL have to respect Lady Luck and NOT press your luck. Hey, those winnings will end up paying for my incredible Labor Day feast I am preparing of grilled Picanha steak and Orange Glaze wings with enough left over for a couple of visits to the Brazilian steak house.

For the second year in a row, Politico wished YOURS TRULY a Happy Birthday on their AM Playbook page. I was actually MORE surprised this second time rather than the first last year. Why? Because last October I wrote an absolutely BRUTAL story about Politico publishing ELEVEN stories at the same time on their home page on the same subject: namely how the perp who attacked Paul Pelosi was an evil MAGA Republican for which Republican officials must apologize for despite the fact the guy was a nudist dope smoking hippie type who live at a home in Berkeley with a yard covered with BLM and gay pride flags. Yeah, a MAGA as typical as the ones who assailed Jussie Smollett on a freezing Chicago night. Perhaps the greatest victim of the over-the-top media obsession promoting that the perp in the Paul Pelosi attack was MAGA might have been NBC reporter Miguel Almaguer who had his career ruined for accidentally telling the truth. What happened to poor Almaguer is sad but also quite hilarious which is why I must soon do a video about his fate.

RECIPE: ************************************************ 8 to 10 chicken wings cut into 16 to 20 sections ************************************************ MARINADE: 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp ground pepper 2 tbs olive oil ************************************************ BATTER: 2/3 cup corn starch 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt ************************************************ ORANGE GLAZE 2 tbsp olive oil 1 tbsp garlic minced 1/2 tbs ginger minced (1 tbsp if you like it spicy) 1/2 tsp chili flakes 1/2 cup orange juice 1/4 cup white vinegar 1/2 cup dark brown sugar *************************************************** Cook wings at 380 degrees for 20 minutes. On Sunday October 16, 2022 I went to a Governor Ron DeSantis campaign rally at Wings Plus restaurant in Coral Springs, Florida. I had been to Wings Plus many times before because their wings have been rated the BEST in South Florida and several times there have been political campaign rallies at that location. From my experience with the previous rallies I expected dozens of people to show up and perhaps even a few hundred. However, imagine my SHOCK when it turned out there were THOUSANDS of people at that DeSantis rally. Wings Plus was completely filled up and the overflow crowd outside numbered in the thousands. In fact, it was so crowded that Wings Plus closed off entrance to any more people. However, thanx to Brian Craig, co-host of the Steve Kane Radio Show (longest running radio show in Florida history) he reserved me a spot at his table. Good thing because since I have a routine medical checkup later this week, I had been cutting back on my food intake recently in order to demonstrate to the dietician that I had lost more weight since the last appointment in July. Therefore I was STARVING and really appreciated those wings more than normal (with Jamaican Jerk sauce in case you're wondering). Here are some highlights of the DeSantis rally from both inside Wings Plus as well as just outside. Interestingly, I do not recall the DeSantis opponent Charlie Crist even being mentioned so in the interest of political fairness, I have included some rebuttals from Crist in this video. I never expected both the size of the crowd nor the sheer electricity of it generated by this rally. I had some brief things I planned to say to Governor DeSantis, but as you can see, it was so crowded that I didn't get near him. Be assured that my comments would have been very brief and I would NEVER do any personal request thing such as mentioning to the Governor that if he happens to be in the Miami area on December 2, he might want to check out the Miami-Dade Law Enforcement Academy which is graduating a class which chose my nephew (entering Hialeah Police Department) as its leader. If anybody out there knows the governor, please tell him that I would never be so brash as to intrude upon him with that reminder about the Miami-Dade Law Enforcement graduation ceremony on December 2. p.s. The wings were so incredible that I think in the future I will be switching from the usual garlic parmesan to Jamaican Jerk. Oh, and apologies to Mrs. Gary the Englishman for stealing the French fries off your plate. If it makes you feel better I also swiped the fries off the plates of your two friends at the table.

On October 7, 2022 an all-liberal panel discussion about the midterm elections took place at American University in Washington, DC. Despite the fact that the subject was the midterms, the bulk of the focus was upon PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP even though he is on NONE of the midterm ballots. In fact the liberal panel obsession with Trump was so bizarrely INTENSE that they mentioned him 42 times during the one hour panel which works out to more than one TRUMP mention every minute and half during a discussion supposedly about the midterm elections.

Even their own New York Times reporter, Matthew Rosenburg, admitted to Project Veritas that there were a "ton of FBI informants" among the Capitol Hill crowd on January 6. Despite this the Times is desperate for us to believe that Ray Epps was not among them. Their proof? Well, according to their May 5, 2022 article, it is because Ray Epps said he was not an informant for the FBI or any other federal agency. Well, that sure convinced me. Case closed! The New York Times just shot down another conspiracy theory as crazy as the idea that the Hunter Biden laptop was not the result of Russian disinformation.

You caused a ruling elite on the city council who sneered at you for being a "small fringe minority" with "unacceptable views" to turn into a wailing bunch of blubbering mental cases, including one councilman who actually did break out crying, as you can see in this video. The Ottawa Police Services Board got together via Zoom call on February 5, 2022 and they concluded that they were totally helpless. The Ottawa police chief spent most of his time professing his utter helplessness while getting himself into a load of trouble by confessing that he along with other officials stopped the GoFundMe for the Freedom Convoy. Way to go chief in angering the truckers and ensuring they will continue in their effort to stop the mandates. Oh, and do I smell a MASSIVE lawsuit coming your way? Besides the police chief admitting he was both helpless and hopeless, there were a couple of HILARIOUS meltdowns from other members of that board including their leader, Convoy Karen, who are absolutely enraged that the truckers are... WINNING!!!

Is it possible to replicate KFC in an air fryer. Well, what I did was look up the 11 "secret" herbs and spices that goes into Kentucky Fried Chicken and mixed them together with 2 cups of flour. After marinating my chicken thighs in a cup of buttermilk mixed with an egg, I ran the thighs through the mixture and cooked them in the air fryer. You can see my opinion of how close it came to KFC but I also double checked it with others a couple of days later to get their opinions as well. RECIPE: 3 tbs white pepper 2/3 tbs salt 2 tbs garlic salt 1 tbs celery salt 1/2 tbs ground thyme 1/3 tbs oregano 1 tbs black pepper 1 tbs dry mustard 3 tbs paprika (or 4 tbs for a bit spicier) 1 tbs ground ginger 1/2 tbs basil Mix with 2 cups all-purpose flour. Marinate 4 chicken thighs overnight in 1/2 cup buttermilk with egg beaten in. After running the chicken through the powder mix, spray with olive oil on both sides Cook in Air fryer for 30 minutes at 380 degrees and turn when halfway finished. (Note: Using a spray bottle to apply olive oil will have a much better effect on surface texture than applying by spoon.)

Since the combination of guajillo marinade and achiote marinade worked so well for smoked chicken leg quarters, I decided to try the same thing for an entire turkey for the July 4 weekend. This was a trial run for Thanksgiving so if it works, I will be serving up smoked Red Turkey for Thanksgiving this year. The recipe is below. In the video I cooked it a bit too long so it is best to cook it breast side down for an hour and then breast side up for another hour and a half. At that point check the temperature with a meat thermometer and cook longer if needed. Oh, and the picture of the turkey in the thumbnail and in the introduction has NOT been tinted. Since it is hard to see the true color of the turkey in the shade, I moved it over to the part of my patio where there was some sunlight and took some shots so you could see just how red it was. Brine: 2 tbsp kosher salt 2 tsp crushed thyme lime zest from 2 limes After brining keep turkey in sealed oven bag 2-3 days in refrigerator. Guajillo marinade: 8 dried guajillo chiles 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar 1 tsp salt 1 tsp cumin 1 tsp oregano 1 tsp crushed peppercorn 3 cloves crushed garlic Achiote marinade: 3.5 oz achiote paste 6 oranges squeezed 4 limes squeezed 6 cloves crushed garlic 2 tsp kosher salt 2 tsp crushed peppercorn 2 tsp cumin Blend the guajillo and achiote marinades together. Smoke 1 hour breast side down and 1 1/2 hours breast side up at 250 to 300 degrees. 16 oz chicken broth in the turkey pan.

Sometime after 4:30 PM EDT on June 20, I heard a lot of thunder outside here in Broward County. When I opened my door to check I was somewhat surprised. Not by the rain clouds above but by the fact that the air felt very dry and warm. This is unusual in that we don't normally feel dry air here in South Florida where humid is the norm. Also of interest was that the wind was quite high gusting up to about 40 mph. When warm dry air rushes up against rain clouds the result is a lot of electricity in the air and that is exactly what happened as you can see in this video.

Achiote marinade is a big game changer for barbecuing chicken and other meats. However, adding a guajillo marinade to the mix provides a very tasty heat level equivalent to that from jalapeno. This video shows how to prepare and mix both the achiote and guajillo marinade. The result is not only highly pleasing to the taste but also provides a pleasant chili glow in the chest up to the ears. In this video I demonstrate how to make marinade out of Achiote paste that will drastically improve the quality of your barbecue food, especially chicken. In fact, I have never been satisfied with the quality of barbecue chicken...until I barbecued chicken using Achiote. It is very easy to prepare the Achiote marinade as I demonstrate in this video.
