Who are we actually talking about when we say "drain the swamp?" Well, Luke Mullins is a contributor at Politico magazine, his brother Brody Mullins is an investigative journalist at the Wall Street Journal. Their most recent work is a book called The Wolves of K Street: The Secret History of How Big Money Took Over Big Government. Quoting from the book, "a well connected Washington operator can be just as important to a corporation's bottom line than the best salesman." In the late 1970's corporations were being steamrolled by labor unions, environmental groups and public interest groups. This sparked a corporate revolution of sorts leading to the dominating influence corporations currently hold over Washington D.C. From influence peddling, lobbying and shadow peddling, you won't believe the stories these two brothers uncover from the last several decades. Most of which explains why the Democratic party will never be the same. It may read like fiction and it will probably be turned into a movie but with 70 pages dedicated to citing sources, this is one of the most comprehensive documentations on "the swamp" to date.

Trump walked into the NY courtroom this morning and was threatened with jail time from Democratic operative Judge Merchan. After 10 fines for violating the gag order, it was a bold move from the judge to threaten the former and potential future president with jail time. Even after the Biden DOJ has said there is no crime here, the judge has managed to make himself a topic of conversation. Which begs the question will he actually go through with it? President Trump had a great weekend at the Republican National Committee's spring retreat. With leaders from the RNC, Senators and members of Congress, names such as Burgam, Scott and Stefanik are getting buzz for a Trump VP pick. Gov. Kristi Noem, who narrated her own book, isn't having the book release she was hoping for as she falsely claimed to have met with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. It's eerily similar to the civil unrest we saw in 2020. It's been confirmed that outside agitators are embedding themselves into these conflicts. These seem to be well-funded and organized, creating an environment of violent rhetoric and action amongst our youth. The Biden administration's top border official could not confirm that illegal aliens crossing the border illegally are being vetted properly. The top secret intelligence report that landed $60B in Ukraine funding didn't force the same urgency from Speaker Johnson to secure our own border. President Trump thinks Speaker Johnson is in a tough spot with a razor thin one seat majority but made it clear he will secure OUR southern border as soon as he gets back in office.
