Kelly's Rocktober 81 (1981) [Complete LP]
I came across this one recently in a local second hand record store and I bought it for my collection and for the channel.
Kelly's Stereo Mart was a Vancouver based retailer which went out of business in the 1980's. Each October it had regular Rocktober promotions and sales.
This album was part of its Rocktober promotion in 1981. Kelly's apparently partnered with a Canadian record label, Attic Records, to release this sampler LP containing tracks from various artists who were recording for Attic Records at the time.
I have a personal connection to Kelly's; its Victoria store gave me my first job when I was in high school. I had left Kelly's before this compilation was released in 1981 but anything with Kelly's on it has a nostalgic connection for me.
