PBC IN TALKS WITH AMAZON PRIME
PBC’s boss Al Haymon has had talks with bringing his huge stable of top-level fighters over Amazon Prime as a part of a new broadcasting deal now that Showtime is expected not to renew the contract after it expires. As Chris Mannix points out, it” unclear at this point if Amazon Prime will be looking to be a “Showtime-like boxing provider” or if this is just a one-off event. Amazon has the money to afford boxing, as they’re already paying huge amounts of dough for their broadcasting of NFL fights.

And it would, in terms of hype, global fan interest and sheer intrigue, rank as a super fight if these two modern greats did meet.

Is Canelo Alvarez Overrated? Source: Is Canelo Alvarez Overrated?
It’s easy to understand why people view Canelo (59-2-2, 39 KOs) as not being a true great and unworthy of all the praise given to him. He’s a good fighter, but you can’t help thinking he’s a manufactured product. The way Canelo’s management has matched him it’s allowed him to avoid many losses in his career and turned him into a fabulously rich fighter.

Terence Crawford Hasn't Heard If Spence Jr Rematch Happens
Terence Crawford says he hasn’t heard anything from Errol Spence yet about whether he’ll activate the rematch clause in the contract to force a second fight. It wouldn’t be a total shock if Spence chose not to take the rematch because he needs to move up to 160 or 168 and get a couple of fights under his belt before he starts thinking about facing Crawford again.

Errol Spence Vs. Terence Crawford Did 650k PPV Buys In U.S, Earning Each $25M
Last Saturday night’s mega-fight between welterweight champions Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford pulled in 650,000 PPV buys in the U.S., earning them each $25 million. According to Dan Rafael, the PPV numbers for Spence vs. Crawford could reach as high as 675,000 pay-per-view buys from the domestic audience. What those numbers mean is that it’s almost a given that we’ll see a rematch between Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) and the undisputed 147-lb champion Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) later this year in December.

Should Errol Spence Jr. Rematch Terence Crawford Or Retire?
Errol Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) took a career’s worth of punishment in his loss to Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) and looked like the shell of the fighter he’d been six years ago when he won his first world title at age 27 in 2017. Many boxing fans on social media believe it would be an unwise move on Spence’s part to exercise the rematch clause in the contract to fight Crawford again in any weight class, not just 147.
