Trouble at Liverpool
The summer saw a major shift in Liverpool's midfield, with stalwarts like Milner, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Keita, Fabinho, and Henderson moving on. Fresh faces like Sobo-slie and Mac Allister have shown promise, while Endo and Gravenbercnh are yet to make their mark. UEFA say NO to Saudi Pro League Request
UEFA president rules out Saudi Clubs.
Aleksander ÄŒeferin, the president of UEFA, recently made a bold statement which could have a huge impact on the Saudi Pro League.
He ruled out the possibility of Saudi clubs participating in European competitions like the UEFA Champions League.
He asserted that Saudi clubs will never play in the UEFA Champions League or any other European competition.
Only European clubs can compete in the Champions League, Europa League and conference league.
ÄŒeferin seemed unconcerned about the financial might of the Saudi clubs, drawing a resemblance to the Chinese approach to football.
He states that Saudi is not a threat. We saw a similar approach in China, where they bought players at the end of their careers by offering them a lot of money.
Chinese football didn't develop, and they didn't qualify for the world cup. The right approach would be to work on player and coach development.

Man City Ups the Ante on Silva’s Contract
In an attempt to end the constant speculation around Bernardo Silva’s future at Manchester City, the club has offered the 28-year-old midfielder a two-year extension on his current contract. The new contract, which also includes a considerable wage hike, would see Silva pocketing a substantial £300,000-a-week, as reported by The Daily Mirror.
However, as the summer window continues, Silva has yet to make a firm commitment, leaving the future of his tenure at City in the balance.
While City’s proposal is lucrative, the Portuguese playmaker is a man in demand. Barcelona have courted Silva for three consecutive summers, and PSG have also expressed keen interest. On a more extravagant note, Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal is reportedly ready to offer him a staggering £500,000-a-week salary.
But Pep Guardiola holds Silva in such high regard that he has attached a whopping £70 million valuation on the midfield maestro. A hefty price tag, that has deterred clubs from meeting City’s asking fee.

Mbappe Update
There are multiple reports in the French media about the future of Ligue 1’s biggest superstar Kylian Mbappé.
The PSG forward has been left out of the side’s squad for their summer tour of Asia and is now available for transfer this summer.
L’Equipe suggest that there is ‘almost a 0% chance’ he joins anyone other than Real Madrid, although there is other interest in his services.
Foot Mercato believe that Al-Hilal are readying a mammoth offer and although they are aware of the player’s eagerness to join the Spanish giants, but would be open to a deal that sees them sign Mbappé only for the upcoming campaign before he is permitted to depart for Madrid.
A final update is offered from RMC Sport, who claim that if Mbappé doesn’t sign a new deal before July 31, PSG will accept the potential €200m offer from Al-Hilal.
