Liverpool sign £60m midfielder
Liverpool have completed the signing of midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig in a £60m deal, subject to a work permit.
It is understood that the highly-rated, 22-year-old Hungary international has signed a five-year contract with the Reds.
Szoboszlai is the second of Liverpool’s summer signings to reinforce their midfield, following the £35m arrival of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton, with Jurgen Klopp viewing the former Red Bull Salzburg star as a similar multi-functional player who offers tactical flexibility.
With Liverpool having spoken to the player’s representatives earlier this week, the move advanced quickly with a release clause expiring on Friday, which the Reds triggered at the last minute.
Szoboszlai was seen as a more viable alternative to Chelsea’s Mason Mount, whom they were interested in as he entered the final 12 months of his contract but had proved to be a more expensive option which involved less straightforward negotiations.

Chelsea bid £103m + 4 Players for Mbappe!
Chelsea have made a huge offer to Paris Saint-Germain in an effort to secure the signing of Kylian Mbappe this summer, according to reports.
The 24-year-old has suddenly become one of the hottest properties on the summer transfer market after it emerged earlier this month that he had presented PSG with a formal letter stating he would not activate an extension to his deal.
That means he would be out of contract and able to depart for nothing in 12 months, leaving the French club looking to either negotiate a new contract or accept the highest offer possible this summer.
Real Madrid seems to be the likely destination but it’s being reported that Chelsea have made an offer of £103m plus Raheem Sterling. Marc Cucurella. Cesar Azplilcueta and Romelu Lukaku. As the thinking is that PSG have a 150 to 200 million euro asking price.
Chelsea believe that this offer should be enough to engage with PSG over their star player.

Mourinho wants Greenwood on loan
Jose Mourinho has reportedly made contact with Mason Greenwood to propose a loan move to Roma this summer.
A report last week claimed that United boss Erik ten Hag has ruled out a sale this summer, with United ‘leaning towards loaning’ the young forward.
Reports are now claiming that Mourinho has made a play to sign him on loan, telling the 21-year-old that “all the hassle will fade away” during a spell at Roma.
Juventus, Inter and AC Milan have also been linked with the Englishman, but Mourinho way well have an advantage over those Serie A rivals having given Greenwood his first chance at United.
Greenwood was facing charges relating to attempted rape and assault but it was announced in February that the case against has been discontinued by the Crown Prosecution Service.
He now wants to focus back on his football and Roma could be a great option for him.

PSG Manager ARRESTED!!
As reported by Le Parisien, PSG coach Christophe Galtier and his son John Valovic have been taken into police custody in Nice this morning.
The two men are being questioned by authorities in relation to accusations of alleged discrimination and racist remarks made in 2021, which emerged back in April, reportedly via former Nice sporting director Julien Fournier. Galtier has previously denied the accusations with ‘the greatest firmness’ and launched legal action for libel.
As the Paris newspaper details, the accusations surfaced after emails emerged detailing a conversation between Galtier and Fournier in which the racial and religious makeup of the Nice team was being discussed.
Fournier, however, who has a long-running feud with Galtier that contributed to both men exiting Nice last year, denied being the source of the original leak and was also questioned over the case back in May. Both former Nice coach Didier Digard and club president Jean-Pierre Rivère have also spoken to investigators over the allegations.
Galtier is set to be sacked by PSG as coach and replaced by Luis Enrique in the coming days.
Man City to impact Liverpool and Chelsea's Transfers
Manchester City eyes new deal over Declan Rice, which could impact Chelsea and Liverpool in the transfer market. City has withdrawn from the race to sign Rice and is now interested in Spanish midfielder Gabri Veiga. Chelsea and Liverpool are also interested in Veiga, but City's success and Champions League status could make them more appealing to the player. Veiga, a 21-year-old midfielder from Celta Vigo, has a release clause of £34.5 million. While he is not a direct replacement for Rice, he could fill the void left by Gundogaan. City has already signed Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea.

Man Utd to meet Chelsea this week to reduce Mount's high fee
According to rumours, Man Utd will meet with Chelsea this week in an effort to reduce their demands for Mason Mount.
The Blues have previously turned down three offers from the Red Devils in an effort to persuade them to accept their approaches.
Their most recent offer was reportedly for £55 million, but the Stamford Bridge team is reportedly holding out for as high as £65 million, a sum that the Red Devils allege includes a special Man United tax.
The Blues "suggested a face-to-face meeting over the situation as they countered the offer with a demand for £65m," according to the Daily Telegraph, who now maintains that Man Utd 'will conduct talks with Chelsea this week about their desire to recruit' Mount.

Man Utd Fire SALE!!!
Manchester United limited transfer budget could bring the curtains down on the time of multiple players at the club with their £73 million investment headlining the list.
The Daily Mail reports that Jadon Sancho leads the way among 13 players United are happy to let go as they seek to add to their budget for the summer.
The English winger could be sold for as little as £45 million, a far cry from the days when United bought him for £73 million after chasing him for two years.
He has impressed in spurts but failed to assert himself in games as the potential which once made him a future Ballon d’Or contender at Borussia Dortmund fizzled out.
Alongside Sancho, more financial hits could be coming for United.
Club captain Harry Maguire is available for £40 million, half the fee he was bought for under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The report states that Maguire, Sancho, Anthony Martial, and Scott McTominay won’t be “forced out” like some other players who have no future at the club. However, they will be sold for the right price.
McTominay was the subject of interest from Newcastle in January and a deal could still be done this summer. United value him at £40 million, which would be one of the few times they get a huge return on their investment on an academy prospect.
Martial will be harder to shift. His contract expires next summer but his wages, worth around £250k/week, means that his reported asking price of £25 million might be a pipe dream.
Then there are players who have no future at the club. Fred and Donny van de Beek are available for £20 million each while Anthony Elanga could be another profit-making sale for United.
Eric Bailly can be written off as a distressed asset, with recent reports indicating that the club will be willing to let him go for “almost free”.
Alex Telles is reportedly attracting interest from FC Porto and a price tag of £10 million might have to come down to make it a sale.
Academy graduates Brandon Williams and Dean Henderson might be sold for £5 million and £15 million respectively. The future of the latter is something to keep an eye on as David de Gea’s contract reaches its end with no renewal in sight so far.
United are hoping that the fire sale leads to an additional £50-100 million to reinvest in the squad. They are in the market for a midfielder, striker, and a goalkeeper in case De Gea leaves.
