Carl Jackson was asked by Studio Tenn to be a part of a two evening event honoring the great Glen Campbell. Steven Curtis Chapman also lended his talents to the evenings of June 30 and July 1, 2018. These are clips of my own recordings, and mostly I have snippets of parts of both nights...it wasn't recorded by the company and this was recorded solely for Carl Jackson. Carl Jackson produced “Orthophonic Joy” for the Tourism Departments of Virginia and Tennessee, highlighting the 1927 Bristol Sessions that became the “Big Bang of Country Music..”. The OJ panel opened up a talent search for a newcomer, as Ralph Peer did in 1927...Corbin Hayslett won this search and plays it at Marry Stuart’s Midnight Jamboree, at The Ryman Auditorium, in Nashville, TN...
