18 New CA Gun Laws That Take Effect In 2024 And Beyond
CALIFORNIA — More than 42,000 people died of gun violence in the United States during 2023. The Dec. 29 figure comes from the Gun Violence Archive, a nonprofit organization that touts itself as an independent data collection and research institute with no affiliation to any advocacy group.
The Golden State was not spared firearm deaths over the last year, according to GVA. California saw its share of suicides, mass shootings, homicides and accidental gun deaths involving all ages, races and genders.
In response to firearm violence, state lawmakers have worked to impose more gun laws. Here's a rundown of what to expect in 2024 and beyond.

WEF-Linked Calgary Mayor Says ‘Never Being Able To Own a Home’ Gives You ‘More Freedom’
Mayor Gondek, who happens to own two houses in Calgary, claimed that owning nothing is synonymous with being happy during a discussion with the development company RNDSQR.
“We’re starting to see a segment of the population reject this idea of owning a home, and they’re moving towards rental because it gives them more freedom,” said Gondek.

B.C. hospital memo raises safety concerns over patients' drug use
Memo from last July in Northern Health hospital had advised nurses to not impede patients using illicit drugs
A leaked memo from a hospital in the Northern Health region advising nurses not to impede patients using illicit drugs raised a firestorm in the B.C. Legislature on Wednesday.
The memo, sent out to staff at the G.R. Baker Hospital in Quesnel, B.C., last July, asks them not to search through patients' personal belongings and take away substances. It also tells staff not to restrict visitors if they suspect they are dropping off illicit substances, and also not to confiscate weapons if they are found.

Trudeau hits peak panic with halal mortgage scheme
A drowning man will grasp at any straw when going under and the Grits are sinking fast
Panic is disturbing to witness.
We’re getting an eyeful these days courtesy of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s regime, one that has moved beyond arrogance, through confusion, to now stand on the verge of outright political hysteria.
Last week’s federal budget was a shipwreck of Titanic proportions. Nothing made sense: all was virtue-signalling tied at the hip to massive, never-ending borrowing, with the only certainty being an ability to further divide Canadians.

Fake News - Don't Get Fooled - Hillary Fears Trump
Don't be fooled by deepfake videos and photos this election cycle. Here's how to spot AI
There was the deepfake audio robocall of President Joe Biden telling you to hold your vote. And just last week, a phony video of Donald Trump with Black voters made the rounds.
AI deepfakes are a massive problem this election season, and it’s easy to get taken – especially when your news and social feeds are full of this junk.

Misinformation, disinformation, and fake news: lessons from an interdisciplinary, systematic literature review
While history shows that false and misleading information is not a new phenomenon (Kapantai et al., Citation2021; Ortoleva, Citation2019), most observers seem to agree that misinformation, disinformation, and fake news have become much more prevalent during the last decade (Benkler et al., Citation2018; Kavanagh & Rich, Citation2018; O’Connor & Weatherall, Citation2019). Often cited reasons are the 2016 U.S. Presidential election and the Brexit referendum in 2016, that were both characterized by widespread disinformation and misinformation and – in the U.S. case – accusations of fake news. As a result, several scholars have argued that we currently live in a ‘post-truth’ era (Lewandowsky et al., Citation2017) or an ‘misinformation age’ (O’Connor & Weatherall, Citation2019).

The Dangers of the Concentration of Media Ownership
Having just six media conglomerates control US media reduces the diversity of viewpoints and creates a potential for the suppression of information that is at odds with the interests of the parent corporation.
At the present time, a shocking 90 percent of the US media is controlled by just six media conglomerates. What does this mean? When we think of new outlets, we probably don’t feel restricted in terms of consumer choice.

Hillary Clinton Desperate, Says Trump Wants to 'Kill His Opposition' in Wild Rant
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's Trump paranoia has developed a new symptom of derangement over former President Donald Trump -- she now believes he's going to "kill his opposition."
Speaking Friday on the liberal podcast "Democracy Docket," hosted by the infamous Democratic election attorney Marc Elias, the former Democratic presidential candidate unleashed a delusional diatribe against the 45th president, making wild accusations that sounded like a recap of a fever dream she may have had in November 2016 -- and showed how desperate she is to smear Trump as the presidential election nears.

Socialism's Rise - Dollar Stores Closing - Moms Of Liberty
College Kids Don’t Understand Socialism—or Capitalism. Our Research Proves It
America's standing as the world's largest economy, with a reputation as a hub of innovation and as a land of opportunity, owes much to its system of free-market capitalism. Economic freedom has lifted more than one billion people out of poverty worldwide. And yet, there continues to be skepticism about capitalism in the U.S., where people blame economic freedom for everything from COVID-19 to the fire in the Gulf of Mexico.
Trust in capitalism has especially diminished among young people, to the point where capitalism and socialism are equally popular. While the reasons for such skepticism are varied, Harvard Economist Edward Glaeser has hypothesized that the young are reacting negatively to policies that favor entrenched interests (crony capitalism) and that they favor "hyper-redistribution" rather than true socialism. Others have argued that students are being influenced by left-wing professors who dominate American college campuses.

Nearly 370 Family Dollar and 30 Dollar Tree stores would close over the next several years at the end of each store’s current lease term, read the USA Today story.

USPS - The Rise of The Vending Machine - Renaming Dulles Airport
As USPS institutes network reforms, mail delivery hits a 3-year low
The U.S. Postal Service has continued to see slower mail delivery across the country, with delays picking up as the agency is in the throes of transforming its entire network.
Postal management has repeatedly pointed to isolated incidents causing temporary disruptions—rather than any systemic issues—to explain the declining performance, though the trend has now persisted for nearly six months and is causing stakeholders and advocates to question the true root of the problem.
USPS is now delivering just 83% of First-Class mail on time during the current fiscal quarter, its worst rate in three years. That is down from 86% in the first quarter and 91% in both the fourth quarter of fiscal 2023 and the same period last year.

No Taxes For Blacks - Stressed Power Grid - Biden Jacked?
Democratic congresswoman suggests black people be exempt from paying taxes as form of reparations
A Democratic congresswoman is calling for black Americans to be exempt from paying taxes as a form of reparations — though she admitted that the plan may not work because many poorer black people “aren’t really paying taxes in the first place.”
Jasmine Crockett, a freshman representative from Texas, said she heard a celebrity — though she could not remember which one — propose making black people tax-exempt, and thought, “I don’t know that that’s … necessarily a bad idea,” she recounted in an interview with “The Black Lawyers Podcast” last week.
“One of the things they propose is black folk not have to pay taxes for a certain amount of time because … that puts money back in your pocket,” Crockett told host J. Carter.

Energy experts sound alarm about US electric grid: ‘Not designed to withstand the impacts of climate change’
As heat ramps up ahead of what forecasters say will be a hotter than normal summer, electricity experts and officials are warning that states may not have enough power to meet demand in the coming months. And many of the nation’s grid operators are also not taking climate change into account in their planning, even as extreme weather becomes more frequent and more severe.
All of this suggests that more power outages are on the way, not only this summer but in the coming years as well.

‘I want a drug test’: Trump says Biden was ‘higher than kite’ at State of the Union address
Donald Trump has insinuated that President Joe Biden may have been under the influence of drugs during his State of the Union (SOTU) address last month. Caitlin Clark - Trump Eclipse - Death To America
Iowa’s Caitlin Clark becomes NCAA Division-I all-time leading scorer for men’s and women’s basketball
Iowa Hawkeyes superstar guard Caitlin Clark became the NCAA’s Division-I all-time leading scorer in basketball – male or female – in a win over the Ohio State Buckeyes on Sunday, passing Hall of Famer “Pistol” Pete Maravich.
Clark entered the game needing 18 points to pass Maravich for the all-time mark of 3,667 points. She set the record with a pair of free throws in the final second of the first half. In a short halftime interview, she said the record wasn’t on her mind at the time.
“Not really, but then when they announce it and everybody screams, that’s when I knew,” she said.
Clark finished the game with 35 points, 9 assists and 6 rebounds as No. 6 Iowa beat No. 2 Ohio State 93-83, giving her a career total of 3,685 points.
After the game, she said she was still “soaking it all in.”

Leftist Thinking
Why Some People Think They're Superior
Optimism is generally considered one of the most desirable psychological qualities. We like to be with optimists more than we like to be with pessimists, and we believe that optimism is generally a more successful life strategy. Being a “cockeyed optimist” (in the words of the famous "South Pacific" song) means that you’ll be better able to cope with whatever challenges come your way. To Leuven University’s Vera Hoorens and colleagues (2016), however, being an optimist can come at a price: It may make you look naïve, and you may be in for disappointment when your sunny predictions fail to materialize.

White Liberals Disproportionately Suffer From Mental Illness.
Survey data from a 2020 Pew poll indicates that white liberals disproportionately suffer from mental illness versus their conservative counterparts.
The study, which examined white liberals, moderates, and conservatives, both male and female, found that conservatives were far less likely to be diagnosed with mental health issues than those who identified as either liberal or even “very liberal.”
Young white women suffered the worst.
White women, ages 18-29, who identified as liberal were given a mental health diagnosis from medical professionals at a rate of 56.3%, as compared to 28.4% in moderates and 27.3% in conservatives.

Science says liberals, not conservatives, are psychotic
Turns out liberals are the real authoritarians.
A political-science journal that published an oft-cited study claiming conservatives were more likely to show traits associated with “psychoticism” now says it got it wrong. Very wrong.
The American Journal of Political Science published a correction this year saying that the 2012 paper has “an error” — and that liberal political beliefs, not conservative ones, are actually linked to psychoticism.
“The interpretation of the coding of the political attitude items in the descriptive and preliminary analyses portion of the manuscript was exactly reversed,” the journal said in the startling correction.

Why Liberals Aren’t as Tolerant as They Think
n March, students at Middlebury College disrupted a lecture by the conservative political scientist Charles Murray because they disagreed with some of his writings. Last month, the University of California, Berkeley, canceled a lecture by the conservative commentator Ann Coulter due to concerns for her safety—just two months after uninviting the conservative writer Milo Yiannopoulos due to violent protests. Media outlets on the right have played up the incidents as evidence of rising close-mindedness on the left.

How Al Gore built the global warming fraud - And changed the alarmism from global cooling to global warming, and now climate change
Although his science is often seriously wrong, no one can deny that Al Gore has a flare for the dramatic. Biden EV Cars Obsession - Trudeau Economic Illiterate
Biden administration rolls out new tailpipe rules that will boost EVs and hybrids
The Biden administration on Wednesday finalized one of the most significant pieces of its ambitious climate agenda: the strongest new tailpipe rules for passenger cars and trucks that will decisively push the US auto market toward electric vehicles and hybrids.
But in a concession to automakers and labor unions, the rules will be phased in more slowly than originally proposed and will give automakers more choices for how to comply.
Nearly a year ago, the Environmental Protection Agency proposed a fast ramp-up into EVs — a rule that would have ensured two-thirds of all vehicles sold were electric by the end of this decade. The EPA pumped the brakes on that plan Wednesday.

California's electrical grid has an EV problem
California energy officials issued a sobering warning this month, telling residents to brace for potential blackouts as the state’s energy grid faces capacity constraints heading into the summer months.
In Sacramento, officials said California’s grid could face a potential shortfall of roughly 1,700 megawatts, which would affect the power supply of between 1 million and 4 million people this summer. That number would likely be exacerbated by an additional shortfall of 5,000 megawatts in the case of extreme heat and further fire damage to existing power lines.

How big is California’s homelessness crisis? Inside the massive, statewide effort to find out
Thousands of volunteers fanned out across California this week, peering down alleyways, into parked cars and along creek beds in a mass effort to count the state’s homeless population.
The federally mandated census, done every two years and dubbed the point-in-time count, serves as the main framework Californians use to understand their state’s homelessness crisis. The data it produces influence everything from allocations of state funding, to local policy decisions, to the way politicians talk about homelessness in campaign speeches.

As Olivia Chow campaigned successfully to become Toronto’s new mayor, she received some unsolicited help from controversial sources.
Two prominent community groups aligned with the Chinese government — including one that allegedly hosted a Chinese police station in Ontario — “went all out” to support Chow’s push to be mayor, supplying numerous volunteers to the effort, a letter from one of the groups claims.

Trump' s NY Trial - Deporting Illegals
Trump says it will be ‘honor’ to post $175M fraud case bond after appeals court cuts funds due from $454M
Donald Trump snagged a last-minute legal victory Monday when a state appeals court ruled he could post a drastically reduced bond of $175 million to fight the massive judgment in his civil fraud case.
The former president had been under pressure to come up with the nearly half-billion-dollar amount due Monday when he was granted the unexpected reprieve from the five-judge panel.
Had Trump failed to fork over the $454 million sum, New York Attorney General Letitia James could have moved to start seizing some of his prized properties.
The appellate court gave him another 10 days to post a bond for the lower figure — a cut of nearly 62% from the previous amount — and Trump said he could and would pay it.

Trump Responds to Appeals Court’s FIFTH Overruling of Judge Arthur Engoron in Civil Fraud Case After Nearly Half Billion Dollar Bond Slashed to $175K: “Judge Engoron is a Disgrace to This Country”
President Trump spoke to the media and slammed crooked Judge Arthur Engoron on Monday after an Appellate Court hearing in his New York civil fraud case, which significantly lowered his bond amount.
Engoron previously ordered Trump to pay a fine of $355 million with daily interest, which quickly ballooned to $464 million, to punish him for his honest business practices and job creation in the state of New York.

Trump plotting massive migrant sweeps, mega detention camps if elected: report
Former President Donald Trump is plotting an intense crackdown on immigration if he is elected to a second term next year — including rounding up undocumented immigrants and holding them in large detention camps as they wait to be expelled from the country, according to a report.
The leading contender for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination is aiming to deport millions of people each year, several advisors told The New York Times.
The plan would not only target the nearly 4 million migrants that have crossed the US border since President Biden took office in 2021, but would include those that have been settled in the country for decades.

The Largest Mass Deportation in American History
July is scorching in Mexicali. The Mexican city just across the border from Calexico, California, averages 108 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer, but temperatures often swell into the 120s.
In 1955, thousands of disoriented people roamed the city’s streets as the sun bore down on them. They had just been dumped there by American immigration officials—snatched from their lives and jobs in the United States and thrown into a city where they didn’t know anyone.

ALBERTA
Premier Smith says restraint needed in Alberta budget 2024, vows to build Heritage Fund
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith promised not to cut spending this year in a pre-budget speech on Wednesday but said the province still needs to show more restraint than previously expected.
In a pre-budget, eight-minute paid prime time televised speech, Smith said lower resource revenues and the volatile price of oil and gas have prompted the government to think of a long-term strategic financial plan to have a “stable, balanced budget.”

Alberta Heritage Savings Trust Fund
What is the Heritage Fund?
The Alberta Heritage Savings Trust Fund (the “Heritage Fund” or “Fund”) is Alberta’s primary long-term savings vehicle. It holds a
diversified portfolio of investments for the benefit of current and future generations of Albertans.
When was the Heritage Fund established?
The Heritage Fund was established in 1976. Initially, 30 per cent of Alberta’s non-renewable resource revenues were deposited
into the Fund every year. As difficult financial times hit in the 1980’s, it was decided to reduce this percentage to 15 per cent of
non-renewable resource revenues in 1982. Regular deposits into the Fund ceased in 1987.

Weak Men - Leaving Blue States - Arizona Trespassers
Liberalism Breeds Soft, Weak, Young "Men"
I know some of you think when I say "liberalism breeds weak, fat men," that I'm merely politicizing an issue to be polarizing. I assure you that's not the case. Allow me five hundred words to make my case.
I was a chubby kid. Strike that, I was a jiggly shrimp. Skinny-fat. The kind of kid who was relatively thin, yet managed to maintain love-handle jelly-rolls while simultaneously carrying a virtual lack of any muscle-tone whatsoever. Truly, I was a marvel of science.

Strong men are perceived to be more conservative, study shows
Stronger men are perceived to be more conservative, a new study shows.
Men with greater upper body strength were seen as more right-wing, which experts link to their heightened competitiveness, according to research published in Personality and Individual Differences.
“There is a consistent perception of physically strong men (i.e., men with considerable upper body strength identified visually) as espousing more conservative viewpoints relative to physically weak men,” study author Mitch Brown, an instructor of psychological science at the University of Arkansas. told PsyPost.

GOP bill would make it easier for AZ ranchers to shoot and kill border-crossers on their property
Doing so now is considered murder, but the proposed expansion of the ‘Castle Doctrine’ would expand when doing so is legal
Arizona Republicans want to let ranchers in southern Arizona legally shoot and kill undocumented immigrants who cross their land.
A bill moving through the state House of Representatives would make changes to the state’s existing “Castle Doctrine” law, which permits Arizonans to use deadly force against people who are trespassing or breaking into their home.
Rep. Justin Heap, a Mesa Republican, told the House Judiciary Committee on Feb. 14 that his House Bill 2843 is designed to close a loophole that he claims has led to “increasingly larger numbers of migrants or human traffickers moving across farm and ranch land.”

Award For Closing Women's Shelter - Girl Scouts - Lonely Capitalists
Trudeau government gives medal to trans activist who got Vancouver rape shelter defunded for refusing to house biological men
A transgender activist, whose advocacy led to the withdrawal of city funding from Canada's oldest rape shelter, has recently been honored with a Meritorious Service Medal, recognizing her as a "champion of diversity" the Daily Mail has revealed.
Morgane Oger, a biological man who identifies as a transgender woman, received the award from Canadian Governor-General Mary Simon on December 7, standing alongside numerous other Canadians acknowledged for their noteworthy contributions. Oger expressed gratitude for the recognition, attributing the medal to her efforts in advancing legal protections for transgender Canadians.

Here’s Where to Take Your Kids When Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts Go Woke
As an Eagle Scout, I feel a debt to the Boy Scouts of America, but I also think the BSA abandoned its defining values by embracing transgender ideology. Both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of the USA have embraced far-left social agendas that alienate many of the young families who form their natural constituencies.
I sat down Wednesday with Patti Garibay, founder and executive director of American Heritage Girls, the leading scouting alternative to the Girl Scouts. She founded American Heritage Girls back in 1995, after she realized that the Girl Scouts were promoting homosexuality and abortion.

Taxing the rich to cut deficit: Five takeaways from President Biden's proposed budget
President Joe Biden released a federal budget Monday that carves out new social programs for housing, health care and child care and reduces the deficit by $3 trillion over the next decade by raising taxes on corporations and the wealthiest Americans.
Biden's $7.3 trillion budget for the 2025 fiscal year − a 4.7% increase over the current budget − seeks to boost defense spending by 1% and non-defense discretionary spending by 2.4%.

LIBERALS ARE SEXUALIZING OUR CHILDREN AND GROOMING THE PEODOPHILES
It wasn't that long ago, just last year actually when we were confronted with the idea of libraries full of Drag Queens with garish, cartoon type makeup, fake boobs rivaling Dolly Parton's and their man parts strapped up tight, reading, Where the Wild things Are to little children.
We all saw images of gross caricatures of men pretending to be women snuggling up to preschool and elementary age children as their progressive, Liberal parents smiled with approval while the Conservative crowd gasped with horror. It was not just this drag queen initiation of our little children but the agenda that was being pushed by the LGBTQ community. Come on people, who in their RIGHT MIND would think this would be a good idea? There are certainly many other ways of teaching children "tolerance" other than sitting on the lap of a perverted man, who is dressed like a cartoon whore, reading a children's book.

Drunk driver convicted for impaired driving for the 21st time: Abbotsford police
A man has been charged with impaired driving for the 21st time, receiving a jail sentence of almost five years, according to Abbotsford police.
A Friday release from the Abbotsford Police Department says Roy Heide, 66, was arrested after a motorcycle accident on Clearbrook Road on Aug. 15, 2022 that resulted in serious injuries for the passenger of the motorcycle.
Police say Heide, the driver, attempted to flee the scene but was identified by officers with the assistance of witnesses.
The release says Heide's blood alcohol content was over two times the legal limit.
Heide pleaded guilty last week to impaired driving, driving while disqualified and driving while prohibited, receiving a sentence of four years and 354 days in jail.

Across the 50 states, more than anywhere else in the world, cities and townships have some of the strangest names you'll find. From monikers that tell you where, exactly, you'll be spending all of eternity (it's not pleasant…) to locales inspired by Saint Nick, these weird town names are sure to leave you in stitches.

California Bill Could Give Illegal Immigrants Right to First-Time Homebuyer Assistance
A new bill introduced last month in California could allow illegal immigrants to receive the same benefits as citizens when purchasing a home for the first time.
Assembly Bill 1840, introduced Jan. 16 by Assemblyman Joaquin Arambula, would change existing law to allow illegal immigrants to be eligible for the California Dream for All Fund, which provides loans for a down payment on a home for first-time buyers.
“I wanted to ensure that qualified first-time homebuyers include undocumented applicants,” Mr. Arambula told GV Wire, an online news outlet based in Fresno.
The program already does not cost the state—as loans made are paid back eventually along with an appreciation fee—he said, and adding illegal immigrants would only widen the pool of applicants, he told the news outlet.
For those approved, the program provides loans for 20 percent of a home’s value, but no greater than $150,000, and purchasers repay it when selling or transferring the property plus 20 percent of any appreciation in its value. Those who make less than their county’s area median income pay 15 percent of the appreciation.

White House refers to illegal immigrants as 'newcomers'
Ahead of President Biden's visit to the U.S.-Mexico border on Thursday, the White House debuted a new term for illegal immigrants arriving in the country, calling them "newcomers."
Biden will travel to Brownsville, Texas, in an effort to reassure voters who have soured on his handling of the border crisis. Republicans have lambasted the Biden administration for weak enforcement of immigration laws, and a recent poll showed that just 26% of Americans approved of the president's job on immigration.

California Approves World’s First Regulation to Phase Out Dirty Combustion Trucks and Protect Public Health
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: California became the first jurisdiction in the world today to end the sales of traditional combustion trucks by 2036, creating a path to 100% zero emission medium heavy-duty trucks on the roads in California by 2045. California also became the first state in the nation to implement emissions standards for trains.
Today, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) approved world-leading regulation to phase out the sales of medium and heavy-duty combustion trucks in California by 2036 – moving the state forward on Governor Gavin Newsom’s ambitious plan to dramatically cut pollution, protect public health and accelerate the transition to clean vehicles. CARB also approved first-in-the-nation regulation to limit train pollution.

List of Equipment Affected by Gavin Newsom's Ban on Small Engines
California Governor Gavin Newsom signed a new law on October 9 that will likely see a variety of engine-powered equipment banned in the state as part of a push to reduce air pollution.
The law aims to eliminate the sale of equipment that uses small off-road engines (SORE) by January 1, 2024, and the California Air Resources Board (CARB) is now charged with putting in place a plan to implement the ban.
A wide variety of everyday items will be affected, some referenced specifically in the bill as written by the state legislature, and ordinary Californians may have to make changes as the law is brought into force.

Trump Dominates Super Tuesday
Trump Super Tuesday Victory Speech: “Joe Biden Is the Worst President in the History of Our Country”
President Trump delivered a victory speech tonight at his Mar-a-Lago home after winning 15 of the Super Tuesday states. Nikki Haley squeaked off a victory in Vermont where they held an open primary in a far left socialist state.
President Trump focused on the complete devastation of the Biden regime in his Mar-a-Lago speech.
President Donald Trump: He’s the worst president in the history of our country. There’s never been anything like what’s happening to our country.
Today it was announced that 325,000 people were flown in from parts unknown. Migrants were flown in airplanes, not going through borders, not going through that great Texas barrier that I was with the governor of Texas, Greg Abbot, the other day, and we were looking at the job they’re doing. But in the meantime, they’re pouring into California and they’re pouring into Arizona because those governors aren’t doing anything. They’re doing nothing.

Trudeau's Accomplishments - Open Border Diseases
Trudeau wants us to allow him to radically change Canada
His policies, rooted in increasingly discredited and dated dogma, would turn Canadians into a flock of sheep
Who uttered the scariest, most threatening words, anywhere in the world, in all of 2023?
Not Putin, not Kim Jong Un of North Korea, or some other unscrupulous dictator — it was Canada’s own Justin Trudeau.
“There’s a lot of work to do … and we are going to continue fighting for them (the people of Canada) every single day.”
“… I wouldn’t be the person I am and be willing to walk away from this right now.”
Words uttered in year-end interviews, mere days ago, intended to bolster his very saggy polling.

Since Trudeau isn't leaving, it's best to ignore him and get on with life
Justin Trudeau is single-handedly accomplishing what all his ministers and bureaucrats failed to do after years of toil and millions of dollars piffled away — he is saving the mainstream Liberal media.
How?
By keeping those scribes writing about when he will be leaving office.
In so many publications across the land, we have been treated to an onslaught of praise about his “major accomplishments”:
— $10-a-day daycare (hardly to be found — ask moms).
— Tens of billions for battery plants for a clean world (don’t bet on it).
— Dental care (only if you are over 87 years old and penniless).
— Pharmacare (go to a government washroom for men and get your free tampons).
But the list of these so-called successes, touted by those who contend that the rock bottom polls are just due to voter fatigue after eight years, is not nearly as long as that of his own miscalculations.

NRA Found Guilty - Attacks On Churches - From Pilot to Pageantry
Jury Finds NRA and Wayne LaPierre Liable in Civil Corruption Lawsuit Brought by Crooked New York AG Letitia James
A jury found the NRA and former NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre liable in a civil fraud lawsuit brought by corrupt New York Attorney General Letitia James.
Jurors said LaPierre “caused $5.4 million in monetary harm to the NRA, but that he has already repaid at least $1 million of that. The 74-year-old appeared stoic as the verdict was read.” NBC News reported.
The jury said LaPierre’s co-defendant Wilson Phillips “caused $2 million in monetary harm to the NRA, they found, while Frazer did not cause any monetary harm to the group.” the outlet said.
Last month Wayne LaPierre announced he would be resigning as the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) leader just days before his civil trial began.

436 acts of hostility against US churches documented in 2023: report
Hostility against churches in the United States appears to be on the rise, according to a recent Family Research Council report that identified 436 incidents against churches in 2023, more than double the amount reported by the group in 2022 and eight times the number identified in 2018.
The conservative Christian advocacy organization released its latest "Hostility Against Churches" report this month, which FRC updated to include hostility incidents from the calendar year 2023.
The organization has collected data about acts of hostility against churches since 2018, identifying 915 such incidents over the past six years.
Between January and November 2023, FRC reported that at least 315 occurrences of vandalism, 75 arson attacks or attempts, 10 gun-related incidents, 20 bomb threats and 37 other incidents took place at churches. According to the report, 17 of the incidents fell into more than one category, with vandalism and arson being the most common combination.

However, after a tough competition in January, Marsh became the first active-duty service member to earn the crown. The 22-year-old U.S. Air Force Academy graduate is now learning to navigate life as a military member, a cancer research scholar and a public figure.

How the Republican and Democratic Parties Got Their Animal Symbols
The Democratic Party’s donkey and the Republican Party’s elephant have been on the political scene since the 19th century. The origins of the Democratic donkey can be traced to the 1828 presidential campaign of Andrew Jackson. During that race, opponents of Jackson called him a jackass. However, rather than rejecting the label, Jackson, a hero of the War of 1812 who later served in the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate, was amused by it and included an image of the animal in his campaign posters.

Constitutional Carry States 2024
In the United States, the phrase "constitutional carry," also called permitless carry, means that someone can carry a concealed handgun without a license or permit. The term was derived from the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which gives citizens the right to bear arms. There are currently 13 constitutional carry states in the U.S. and two states with Constitutional Carry for residents only.

TSA detects 6,737 firearms at airport security checkpoints in 2023
During 2023, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) intercepted a total of 6,737 firearms at airport security checkpoints, preventing them from getting into the secure areas of the airport and onboard aircraft. Approximately 93% of these firearms were loaded. This total surpasses the previous year’s record of 6,542 firearms stopped at checkpoints and represents the highest one-year total in TSA’s history.
“We are still seeing far too many firearms at TSA checkpoints, and what’s particularly concerning is the amount of them loaded, presenting an unnecessary risk to everyone at the TSA checkpoint,” said TSA Administrator David Pekoske. “Firearms and ammunition are strictly prohibited in carry-on baggage. Passengers are only allowed to travel with an unloaded firearm, and only if they pack it properly in a locked, hard-sided case in their checked baggage and first declare it to the airline at the check-in counter.”

Robert Pickton — 'one of Canada’s most notorious serial killers' — eligible for day parole
The 74-year-old serial rapist was charged in 2002 with the murders of 26 women
The 74-year-old was convicted for the murders of six women in December 2007, receiving a life sentence with no chance of parole for 25 years.
He was also charged in connection with 20 other murders, with DNA evidence linking additional missing women to his pig farm in Port Coquitlam, B.C., but the charges were stayed because Pickton was already serving the maximum sentence.

Donald Trump is the Victim of Selective Prosecution
Trump is the victim of political witch hunts by Democrats suffering from Trump derangement syndrome
The U.S. Supreme Court has said that "A selective prosecution claim is not a defense on the merits to the criminal charge itself, but an independent assertion that the prosecutor has brought the charge for reasons forbidden by the Constitution." United States v. Armstrong, 517 U.S. 456 (1996). The defendant must prove that "the *** prosecution policy 'had a discriminatory effect and that it was motivated by a discriminatory purpose.'" Tyler v. Boles, 368 U.S. 448 (1962).

This small New York village made guns for 200 years. What happens when Remington leaves?
Remington began here two centuries ago and generations of workers have turned out rifles and shotguns at the massive firearms factory in the middle of this blue-collar village in the heart of New York’s Mohawk Valley.
Now residents of Ilion are bracing for Remington’s exit, ending an era that began when Eliphalet Remington forged his first rifle barrel nearby in 1816.
The nation’s oldest gun-maker recently announced plans to shutter the factory in the company’s original home early next month, citing the steep cost of running the historic plant. Remington is consolidating its operations in Georgia, a state the company says is friendlier to the firearms industry.

New York City will allow 800,000 noncitizens to vote in local elections
Lawmakers in New York City have approved legislation that will allow about 800,000 legal non-citizens to vote in local elections. The decision centered on one big question - who exactly should have a stake in American democracy? I talked with Ron Hayduk about this. He's a political science professor at San Francisco State University and the author of "Democracy For All: Restoring Immigrant Voting Rights In The United States."

Democrats’ open-border trickery: gaming the Census
New York is Migrant Central — the No. 1 destination in the country for illegal border crossers — and it’s no accident.
New York’s Democratic politicians benefit from the deluge.
The more migrants come here, the more congressional seats and clout in the Electoral College New York is able to maintain.

Biden Roadblocks - Canada's Outdated System - $50 Min. Wage
Biden admin braces for possible Trump win, installs 'roadblocks' to stop him from reshaping government
President Biden's administration and liberal supporters in Washington are bracing for a possible Donald Trump victory in November by installing "roadblocks" to limit the latter's ability to fire thousands of government workers, according to a new report.
The Associated Press reported that a cabal of left-leaning experts, legal advisers and others are confident Biden will be re-elected but are urging him to prepare for the worst: another Trump presidency beginning in 2025.
"My impression is the Biden administration is taking very seriously that potential threat and is trying to do things now," Michael Linden, former executive associate director of the White House Office of Management and Budget under Biden, told the AP. Although he added there was no "magic bullet" to stop Trump if he took office again. "Nobody should be under any illusion that there’s anything that this president can do in advance to prevent the next president from doing things that are very damaging, potentially catastrophically."

Corruption in Canada worst in a decade, finds international watchdog
Canada has, once again, slipped down an international ranking for corruption, standing at 13th in the world and well back of world leaders, such as Denmark, New Zealand and Singapore.
Since 2015, the year Liberal leader Justin Trudeau became Prime Minister, Canada has fallen nine points, to a score of 74 out of 100 on the Transparency International's 2021 Corruption Perceptions Index. No country has seen a bigger drop in ratings since 2017 than Canada.

Difference Between Parliamentary and Presidential Form of Government
Every country in the world has its own constitution, according to which policies are framed, government bodies and institutions function and decisions are made. In finer terms, it is the constitution, that covers all the aspects of the political system adopted by the country. There are two forms of government, Parliamentary and Presidential. In Parliamentary System, the political party winning the majority seats in the parliament makes the government and elects a person from among themselves as the Prime Minister who is the head of the Government.

‘Do the Math!’ Democratic Rep. Tries to Explain Her $50 Minimum Wage Proposal to Befuddled Rivals During Senate Debate
Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA) insisted at a Monday night debate with her fellow Democrats that a $50 an hour minimum wage makes sense.
Lee first called for a $50 minimum wage last year while campaigning for the California Senate seat previously occupied by the late Dianne Feinstein. Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Katie Porter (D-CA) are also seeking to grab the seat. Compared to Lee, her fellow Democrats Schiff and Porter have called for an increase in the minimum wage to $20 to $25/hours. Lee’s proposal would make it so minimum wage workers earn $104,000 annually.

Winner & Loser - Commies In Canada - Madagascar New Law
The Unbelievable Story Of Two Brothers Named Winner And Loser
Unusual naming of babies is forbidden in some countries, while others are not that strict. For example, there are people in Venezuela whose first name is Superman, Hitler or John Wayne. A man in the USA had an even more special idea for his two sons: Winner and Loser. What became of them?
Winner and Loser
Robert Lane was already the father of five children with quite common first names, but apparently he was plagued by the thought that the choice of name could have an influence on a child’s future. What life might a person with a truly winning name lead? And so in 1958 he decided to christen his sixth offspring Winner

You won’t be able to drive 10 mph over the speed limit – its arrival in California is already scheduled
Speeders won’t like to hear this, but a new California bill would prevent new cars from driving more than 10 mph above the speed limit.
Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) has introduced a bill that proposes using artificial intelligence (AI) technology to prevent drivers from exceeding the speed limit by more than 10 mph. The bill involves equipping cars with artificial intelligence (AI) so that they can recognize and enforce speed limits.

Communism vs Democracy in Canada
Is Canadian democracy on the verge of collapse? Let’s put our finger on the pulse of our democracy to see if our laissez faire attitude is justified.
Canada, like most Western countries that were guided by biblical principles, has a history of freedom and equality unequaled by any other world view. From the Magna Carta, which put the king under the same laws as the commoner, to our Canadian Constitution we hear a consistent message of equality.

Madagascar is to castrate child rapists, prompting criticism but also support
Madagascar's Parliament has passed a law allowing for the chemical and, in some cases, surgical castration of those found guilty of the rape of a minor, prompting criticism from international rights groups, but also finding support from activists in the country who say it's an appropriate deterrent to curb a "rape culture."
