As believers, we are called to walk in the Spirit and not gratify the desires of the flesh. Yet, even with the best intentions, we sometimes find ourselves slipping into fleshly behaviors. Today, we will explore why this happens and how we can keep our hearts in check, aligning them with God's will.
Matthew 15:18-19 (NKJV)
"But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies."
Galatians 5:16-17 (NKJV)
"I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish."
Romans 7:18-19 (NKJV)
"For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice."
James 1:14-15 (NKJV)
"But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death."
Philippians 4:7 (NKJV)
"And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Colossians 3:2 (NKJV)
"Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth."
1 John 2:15-17 (NKJV)
"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever."
Keeping our hearts in check is crucial for living a life that honors God. By guarding our hearts, walking in the Spirit, acknowledging our weaknesses, seeking God's examination, and praying for a clean heart, we can overcome the tendencies of the flesh. Let us commit to these practices and trust in God’s grace to lead us in His ways.

“The Path of Hope"
Today we gather to explore a profound journey outlined in the scriptures—a journey on the path of hope. Anchored in the powerful words of Romans 5:1-5, we discover how this path begins with the full assurance of our righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ. Let's delve into these words from the New King James Version:
"Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us."
**Full Assurance in Christ:**
The path of hope begins with a steadfast belief in our justification through faith. We are right with God not because of our deeds but through faith in Jesus Christ. As Ephesians 2:8-9 declares, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." This assurance is our foundation.
**Righteous in Tribulation:**
In the midst of trials and tribulations, God sees us as righteous. James 1:2-4 encourages us: "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." Our trials are not signs of God's displeasure but opportunities for spiritual growth.
**Certainty in Our Righteousness:**
It's crucial to be unwavering in our conviction that we are right with God. 1 John 1:9 assures us: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Our certainty in His forgiveness and righteousness fortifies us against doubts.
**No Fear in Love:**
As the church of Jesus Christ, we must embrace that God is not angry with us. Romans 8:1 says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." Even when we are bruised and wounded, His love remains steadfast.
**Rejecting Regrets and Anxiety:**
Living with regrets and fear undermines our journey on the path of hope. Philippians 4:6-7 instructs us, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." We are called to a life free from the bondage of anxiety and regret.

The Importance of Building A Wall • Sunday Service
To Give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give
Website: www.PastorTodd.org
The answer to why it was important to rebuild Jerusalem’s walls is found in Nehemiah 1:3. Let's go through each chapter of the Book of Nehemiah in detail:
**Chapter 1: Nehemiah's Prayer**
- In this chapter, Nehemiah, a cupbearer to the Persian king Artaxerxes, hears about the distressing condition of Jerusalem and its broken walls.
- Nehemiah's immediate response is one of deep concern and grief. He weeps, mourns, fasts, and prays to God for forgiveness for his people's sins and for guidance on how to address the situation.
- This chapter serves as an introduction to Nehemiah's character, his strong connection to his homeland, and his reliance on prayer as he seeks God's direction.
**Chapter 2: Nehemiah's Commission**
- Nehemiah, still in the king's service, looks visibly sad. When the king inquires about the reason, Nehemiah explains his concern for Jerusalem.
- Remarkably, King Artaxerxes grants Nehemiah permission to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the city's walls. The king even provides him with letters for safe passage and resources.
- Nehemiah's commission serves as a powerful reminder of God's sovereignty, as He uses even pagan kings to accomplish His purposes.
**Chapter 3: The Wall's Construction**
- This chapter provides a detailed account of the people and groups who participated in rebuilding different sections of Jerusalem's wall.
- The lists of builders and their contributions underscore the unity and cooperation among the Israelites. Families, priests, and even rulers are involved in the construction.
- It emphasizes that rebuilding the wall was a collective effort, reflecting the importance of unity and teamwork among God's people.
**Chapter 4: Opposition and Perseverance**
- As the wall construction progresses, Sanballat, Tobiah, and other enemies of the Jews become increasingly hostile. They mock and ridicule the builders, seeking to discourage them.
- Nehemiah responds with prayer and encourages the people to stay vigilant and continue their work. He sets up a system of defense and assigns armed guards.
- This chapter illustrates the reality of opposition and adversity in pursuing God's work but also highlights the importance of perseverance, prayer, and trusting in God's protection.
**Chapter 5: Nehemiah Addresses Social Injustice**
- In this chapter, Nehemiah addresses internal issues of social injustice among the Jewish community. Some were exploiting their fellow Jews through loans and exorbitant interest rates, leading to financial hardships.
- Nehemiah rebukes the oppressors, urging them to return what they had taken and charging them to live in a way that pleases God.
- This chapter demonstrates Nehemiah's commitment to justice and fairness, emphasizing the need for God's people to care for the marginalized and vulnerable.
**Chapter 6: Completing the Wall**
- Nehemiah faces further opposition in the form of deceitful schemes, designed to lure him away from Jerusalem or discredit him.
- Despite these attempts, Nehemiah remains resolute in his mission. He discerns the deceit and continues to lead the people in completing the wall.
- The wall is eventually finished in an astonishing 52 days, a testament to the determination and trust in God's providence.
Each chapter of Nehemiah offers valuable lessons, including the importance of prayer, God's providence, unity, perseverance, justice, and leadership. In a sermon, you can emphasize these themes and how they apply to the lives of your congregation today, encouraging them to seek God's guidance, work together, face opposition with faith, and pursue justice in their communities. Nehemiah's story serves as an inspiring example of faith in action and the transformative power of God's work through dedicated individuals.
The walls provided protection and dignity to a people who had suffered the judgment of God but had later been restored and returned to the Promised Land.

My People Die For Lack Of Knowledge • Sunday Service
My People Die For Lack Of Knowledge • Sunday Service

Today, we will explore the dangers of syncretism—the blending of different religious beliefs and practices—and understand why the Bible warns us that "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6, NKJV). As believers, we must guard against allowing false teachings to infiltrate our faith and remain steadfast in the truth of God's Word.
Exodus 20:3-4 (NKJV)
"You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth."
2 Corinthians 6:14-15 (NKJV)
"Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?"
Deuteronomy 18:9-12 (NKJV)
"When you come into the land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out from before you."
Hosea 4:6 (NKJV)
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children."
1 Timothy 4:1 (NKJV)
"Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons."
Galatians 1:6-8 (NKJV)
"I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed."

Today, we're exploring the profound moments in Scripture where human ability fades, and divine strength shines brightly. It's at the end of our rope that we find the beginning of God's power.
"The Miracle at Cana"
Scripture: John 2:1-11 (NKJV)"On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, 'They have no wine.' Jesus said to her, 'Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.' His mother said to the servants, 'Whatever He says to you, do it.' Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. Jesus said to them, 'Fill the waterpots with water.' And they filled them up to the brim. And He said to them, 'Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.' And they took it. When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. And he said to him, 'Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!' This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him."
"Gideon's Army of 300"
Judges 7:1-22 (NKJV)"Then Jerubbaal (that is, Gideon) and all the people who were with him rose early and encamped beside the Well of Harod, so that the camp of the Midianites was on the north side of them by the hill of Moreh in the valley. And the Lord said to Gideon, 'The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying, "My own hand has saved me." Now therefore, proclaim in the hearing of the people, saying, "Whoever is fearful and afraid, let him turn and depart at once from Mount Gilead."' And twenty-two thousand of the people returned, and ten thousand remained. [...] The Lord said to Gideon, 'By the three hundred men who lapped I will save you, and deliver the Midianites into your hand. Let all the other people go, every man to his place.' [...] And they stood every man in his place all around the camp; and the whole army ran and cried out and fled."
As you go into this week, remember: Our limitations are the very canvas on which God paints His masterpieces of grace.

In the midst of life's uncertainties and dangers, there are moments when we recognize that our lives have been spared by the grace of God.
These moments remind us of God's protection, mercy, and purpose for our lives. Today, we will explore seven scriptures that highlight instances where God spares lives and what we can learn from these acts of divine intervention.
1. Psalm 91:14-16
"Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation."
2. Psalm 34:7
"The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them."
3. Genesis 50:20
"But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive."
4. Exodus 14:13-14
"And Moses said to the people, 'Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.'"
5. Daniel 6:22
"My God sent His angel and shut the lions' mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you."
6. Acts 27:22-24
"And now I urge you to take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship. For there stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve, saying, 'Do not be afraid, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar; and indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you.'"
7. John 11:43-44
"Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, 'Lazarus, come forth!' And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, 'Loose him, and let him go.'"
The resurrection of Lazarus is a powerful example of God's authority over life and death. Jesus' command brings Lazarus back to life, demonstrating that God can spare and restore life in ways beyond our understanding. This miracle underscores the hope and assurance we have in God's power to bring life out of death.
When God spares our lives, it is a profound reminder of His love, protection, and purpose for us. These scriptures not only highlight God's saving acts but also call us to respond with faith, gratitude, and a renewed commitment to His will. Let us trust in God's promises, knowing that He holds our lives in His hands and has a purpose for every moment He grants us.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Today, I want to address a critical issue affecting many Christians—double-mindedness. This spiritual condition can hinder our walk with God and cause various issues in our lives. Let us delve into the Word of God and seek His wisdom on this matter.
1. Understanding Double-Mindedness:
James 1:8 (NKJV): "He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways."
2. The Root of Double-Mindedness:
James 4:8 (NKJV): "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded."
3. The Consequences of Double-Mindedness:
Matthew 6:24 (NKJV): "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon."
4. Faith Without Doubt:
Mark 11:23 (NKJV): "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says."
5. Steadfastness in Faith:
Hebrews 10:23 (NKJV): "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful."
6. The Call to Spiritual Maturity:
Ephesians 4:14-15 (NKJV): "that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ."
Double-mindedness is a significant barrier to spiritual growth and a fulfilling Christian life. By drawing near to God, purifying our hearts, and committing ourselves wholly to Him, we can overcome this instability. Let us seek God with undivided hearts, trust in His promises, and grow into mature, steadfast believers.

1. John 4:23-24:
"23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
2. Romans 12:1:
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service."

"Coming to the End of Ourselves: Surrendering to God's Grace"
Introduction:
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, today, we gather to explore a profound spiritual journey - the journey of coming to the end of ourselves and surrendering to God's grace. This transformational experience is beautifully portrayed in the Scriptures, as we'll see through the ten verses I will share with you.
I. Recognizing Our Need for God:
1. Romans 3:23 (NKJV) - "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
2. Romans 7:24-25 (NKJV) - "O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!"
II. Surrendering Our Will to God:
3. Galatians 2:20 (NKJV) - "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."
4. Matthew 16:24 (NKJV) - "Then Jesus said to His disciples, 'If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.'"
III. Trusting God's Wisdom:
5. Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
6. 1 Corinthians 1:25 (NKJV) - "Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men."
IV. Finding Strength in Weakness:
7. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NKJV) - "And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
V. Letting Go of Burdens:
8. Matthew 11:28 (NKJV) - "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
9. Psalm 55:22 (NKJV) - "Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved."
