Reference: GLO267 A quick word about Drop.com. If you haven't heard of them before they are sort of a group buying site. Not exactly, but the easiest way to describe it. They have all sorts of things listed, including watches. Basically from my understanding, they pre-negotiate with a company to get a specific price on something. Then they offer it on their site and see how many are interested before they place the actual order. They usually have great prices on things, but not always, so it's always good to do a little bit of research. In fact, on each listing (called "drops") there is a discussion tab, and usually, people in there have already checked some of the usual stores like Jomashop. One downside to Drop is that they are a considered grey market like jomashop. So manufactures warranties are not always honored. Plus I've heard some international buyers are annoyed with how they ship things. Sometimes listing the value as the MSRP not what they paid. So having to pay more importation fees. At long last, we get to take a look at the Orient Star Diver. Reference number AU0306L. One of the best premium divers that you've probably never heard of. These came out sometime last year, but are pretty hard to find outside Japan as they are a JDM release. In a lot of ways, it's similar to the Orient Triton, at least on paper. Yet the look and feel on the wrist are completely different. Not to mention almost every aspect of the Orient Star is an upgrade in some way. Although one thing that's the same is the Diver's 200m water resistance rating. Meaning it is also an ISO rated diver.
