DJI Air 3 Max Altitude Option
How to change the Max Altitude of the DJI Air 3 from 1,639 feet (500 meters) to 3,280 feet (1,000 meters) either in flight or before launching. But remember, you still need to stay within 400 feet of the terrain surface.

FX Impact - ATN Scope
A short video recorded by the built-in camera on an ATN Electronic Scope mounted on an FX-Impact Mark II 25 Cal Air Rifle at about 100 feet. 2 branches were in my way after I sat down to shoot while camping. Too lazy to get up and cut them out of my way.

Great Horned Owl
Perched in a tree at our campsite by day at Bay View, Washington March 19, 2023. Only 40 feet away but I could never see it with my unaided eyes even though I knew where it was. He/She was very active at night but always returned to the same branch on the same tree.

Vanagon Wall Insulation for Heat and Sound
This was a quick test of the triple layer wall insulation I was adding to my 1991 Vanagon. The top layer was a 1 inch thick layer of Closed Cell Neoprene Rubber Duct Insulation. At this point, only one section was finished for this comparison. Done November 2012.

Maple Valley Snow Jan. 3, 2022
No Sound Track...
The snow from Christmas Day was melting but then another 4" fell last night. So I sent the Drone up for a look around.
This is the low resolution video copy that is saved in the controller while the high resolution one is saved on the memory card in the Drone. This video is what I see through my controller screen while I'm flying and contains any flaws or artifacts that occur when the video is transmitted to the controller. The memory card in the Drone has none of the flaws.
This is from my "DJI Phantom 4 Pro Plus" Drone that is now 4 years old but still in top shape.

Developing Thunderstorm / Lightning- Time Lapse
August 17, 2021. San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
No Thunderstorms expected. I set my GoPro up for a simple Time Lapse video of the city and simple puffy cloud action for the 4th time in 2 weeks and just happened to be pointed in the right direction for this surprise
Shooting one frame in 5 seconds from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM when rain finally cut my project about 45 minutes short.
Set your Rumble Resolution to 1080P for best viewing.

Deer in the backyard
While taking a shortcut in my Vanagon in our back yard to take my Van to a shared car lift, I came across two Bucks laying in the grass. The small one was nervous and stood up while the large on just laid there while I drove around them on my way.
This is becoming more common lately and even the Elk have been doing the same thing except that they are much more shy.

Camp Fire Ban #2
At one of my favorite dispersed USFS Camp Sites, I deal with the current camp fire ban so common this time of year (July). Camping without a camp fire is like eating a sandwich but with no bread.. Leaves a lot to be desired. So taking a hint from Songwriter John Prine, I improvise.
Video was shot with my Contour 1080 HD Helmet Cam in 720 resolution.

Anna's Hummingbird on a Cold November Day
This Anna's Hummingbird was protecting his frozen feeder in below freezing temperatures late November near Seattle. There was an icicle hanging below his feet when I shot this video from 3 feet away. I thawed his feeder right after this shot.

A24 Trap in Action
My A-24 Mouse/Rat trap in action. This time, I set up my Game Camera but it was a little too high to see the ground. The camera records for 30 seconds and then pauses before taking another video if movement is still present.
When I inspected the trap, there was no mouse, so I thought there had been no action until I checked the video. I left out the part where a Rabbit came through for a look. So far, in one week, the count is 10. And I don't have to reset the trap until after 24 strikes. :-)

Syncro Vanagon Viscous Coupler Test
Testing the Viscous Coupler in my 91 Syncro Westy.. this is how you do the test using a 2x4 flat on a smooth floor. This is an example of how a good V.C. should work.
Slowly let out the clutch in low or G gear at idle. It should stay behind the 2X4. With a slight increase in revs, it should climb over the 2X4.
