As my tech talk videos require much more time to research, write and produce (in addition to a full-time job), I do these quicker, but no-less exciting videos, to keep the YouTube algorithms engaged. This doesn't, in any way, imply that these are secondary videos. I work just as hard on creating value in them. Please help keep the channel alive!

Deep Rock Galactic Review - Just One Moria Time! - Xbox One X
In this Deep Rock Galactic review, we show why its gameplay is second to none. Now that Deep Rock Galactic has released, we delve into the character classes, the synergy, and the play experience. Dwarven hijinks abound as we through all seriousness aside and give ourselves over to the joy of discovery.
An ancient philosopher once asked, “Is it better to have a video game that does one thing absolutely perfectly, or one that does many things really well?”
Deep Rock Galactic is certainly a strong example of why the former often wins out. You see, with simple game concepts like those found behind “Tetris” or “Beat Saber”, the joy comes not from the depths of its mechanics, but from the moment to moment gameplay.
Now after four years in development and over two years in Early Access, it’s finally released. I decided to take the plunge and I’m really sorry I waited. Deep Rock Galactic is not only simple to understand and easy to play, but immensely fun.

BoxVR review: VR fitness, fun and exercise!
Box VR (stylized BoxVR) is a VR exercise title for the PC and PSVR. As of 2020, if you are a VR fan and want an intense workout, consider checking out this review.
The home fitness market has always been there. Those of us who remember Jack LaLanne, well remember his exercise TV programs from the 50’s through the mid 80’s. Jack lived to a very healthy 96. When asked how he managed to live so long, he famously replied, “I can’t die; it’d ruin my reputation!”
Then came the mass adoption of Video Tapes and DVDs. These enabled people to watch - and rewatch - instructional videos on Aerobics, Tae Bo, and dozens of other regimens.
Today streaming services bring you on-demand exercise videos for free and every home with an internet connection can house a Peleton or magic exercise mirror, personalized to it - although these often come with steep subscription fees attached.
In 2016, I was fortunate enough to pick up an HTC Vive at release and it’s running well to this day. The lighthouses continue to work and the controllers, although they’ve grown a little “eccentric” in their age, still carry out their duties effectively.
As telecommuting becomes more common and VR looks for ways to become an essential enabling technology, a question naturally arises: Can VR save you an occasional trip to the gym and take its place alongside these other home exercise solutions? Based on the momentum gained in the last few years, I’d say there’s little doubt. While VR can’t (yet!) provide the experience of weight-training, stair climbing, or similar physics-based interactions, it does provide the opportunity to supplement an aerobic exercise regimen.
And part of mine, for years, has been BoxVR.

Synth Riders review: Pure VR joy!
If you're into VR and Dance Gaming, you'll like Synth Riders and this review. This PC VR experience takes you to the 80's and 90's in synth-style. As a fitness tool, you'll be amazed by how quickly you can sweat to the music!
Dancing in VR is the visual analogue of singing in the shower. In your mind, you’re Fred Astaire, gracefully gliding about the dance floor. To those watching, you’re an insane person, spastically swatting at ephemera only you can see.
Now, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. At parties, such public humiliation is all part of the fun. And alone, well, there’s nobody around to watch you make a fool of yourself.
In my previous video I talked about “BoxVR”, another rhythm music title that I use as part of my nightly exercise routine and, while Synth Riders is also a rhythm music title, its feel is completely different. What does that mean?

Minecraft Dungeons Xbox One Review - Will You Dig It?
Minecraft Dungeons is the latest spinoff of the popular Minecraft series. It's available across Xbox One, PC, PS4 and Switch platforms. It's also on Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate. This review gives a few tips suggesting whether this will be worth your play time!
What can someone say about Minecraft Dungeons that hasn’t already been said in countless other reviews and streams?
I mean, everyone on earth is familiar with the Minecraft brand name. It’s sold 15 bazillion copies and has spawned countless offshoots in just about every form imaginable. So it was only logical that Mojang, its developer, would want to capitalize on the brand and extend it to other genres and they’ve done so with Minecraft Dungeons.
Unfortunately, the packaging of the game doesn’t do much to save what is ultimately an uninspired concept. It has the framework of a game, sure, the kind of place where you feel something exciting should be happening, but for some reason isn’t.
Anyone who has played Anthem knows that feeling, the feeling that just around the corner some exciting gameplay must be about to happen, but you turn that corner, and the next, and it never materializes. You may have, like me, pre-purchased Anthem’s Legion of Dawn Edition and anxiously awaited release only to discover a great platform for a game, with beautiful graphics, but nothing that makes you want to continue playing it.

The End of All Things? - In Death VR Review
In this review of "In Death", now available for most VR systems, we discuss the play mechanics, game loop and concepts behind the game. In Death can be found on PC and PSVR.
“In Death” is not a new game. Originally introduced by Solfar Studios around 2017. It’s one that I’d played a bit in early access and, while the game was still relatively unfinished at the time, it showed a lot of potential. Since those few runs, it’s gathered dust on the virtual shelf for the past few years, but perchance I noticed it on my list and out of curiosity jumped back in to see what’s changed.
It turns out… a LOT.
So what is “In Death”? “In Death” is primarily a VR bow-shooter with rogue-lite elements. It is set in an alternate afterlife, long abandoned by its rulers and left to ruin, now only occupied by the corrupted remnants of its former inhabitants. It’s often described as a Dark Souls-like shooter, and while the comparison is often abused, I’d be hard-pressed to disagree.
You play a bow or crossbow-wielding hero, of uncertain origin, whose mission it is to cleanse and destroy each and every one of these malevolent monstrosities in order to return harmony to the afterlife.

Gears Tactics Review - Tactical Gameplay At Its Best
In this Gears Tactics Review, we look at this exciting new tactical combat game from the Gears of War series. You'll see why the graphics, sound, and level design helps make the game transition from FPS to tactical RPG easily.
“Gears Tactics” tells the story of Gabe Diaz, father of “Gears 5”’s heroine Kate Diaz, and his comrade Sid Redburn as they fight their way through a lengthy campaign that generally takes around 25 hours to complete on the first playthrough.
On the road to defeating Locust Horde baddy Ukkon, Gabe and Sid pick up new squad members (major and minor), loot items, rescue prisoners, and defend points. You get the idea.
