More than 1000 political prisoners are facing HARSHER punishments than RAPISTS in Brazil
Brazil faces brutal tyranny, with more than 1000 political prisoners facing harsher sentences than those of rapists, drug traffickers and murderers.
Professor Augusto Zimmerman is the former WA Law Reform Commissioner, and a constitutional law expert in both Australia and his birthplace of Brazil. He brought a deeply disturbing story about Brazil's lurch toward tyranny and the imprisoning and now death of political prisoners since Bolsonaro lost office and the 'Workers Party' favourite Lula De Silva returned to the Presidency in January.
The parallels between the US Jan 6 2021 stitch-up, and the Brazil Jan 8 2023 events, are too numerous to ignore.

Victoria is the HIGHEST taxed state in all of Australia! 😱
Victoria is the HIGHEST taxed state in all of Australia! 😱
Victoria is equally Australia’s deeply indebted state, taking drastic measures to cut costs, postponing infrastructure spending or trying to offload it to the Federal Government, cancelling events such as the Commonwealth Games, and most recently hiking up berthing fees on cruise ship operators to completely absurd levels, causing them to simply move their operations elsewhere.
David Limbrick MLC, Libertarian MP for South East Metro, joined Topher Field to discuss the financial crisis facing the state of Victoria and how poorly the Victorian Government is managing this.

Today on The Aussie Wire News:
An Irish Greens Party Senator Pauline O'Reilly said the quiet part out loud a few months ago... stating that all laws are about restricting freedom. She's right, in fact if anything she doesn't go far enough. Topher explains that in fact, all laws aren't just restrictions on freedom, but are an authorisation of violence, and that's why it's so crucial to have as few laws as possible and only use laws when nothing else will work. The simple fact is that governments do not create rights, they can only protect or violate them, and the fact that laws are both a restriction on freedom AND an authorisation of violence is exactly the reason why MPs like O'Reilly shouldn't be allowed to write unnecessary laws.
Ben Leo is a regular contributor to GB News and friend of Nigel Farage, who is in Australia competing in 'I'm a Celebrity, get me out of here!' Yes indeed, he's put himself at the mercy of the show producers and 'creative' editors in the hope that he would come out the other side with more support and more of a voice than when he went in. It's a big gamble given he knows very well the show itself, the other contestants, and even the audience by and large, will be primed to work against him. Ben explains the strategy that caused Nigel to go in, and makes observations around how the show has tried (and failed) to set him up so far. It would appear that Nigel's time in the Jungle is far from over, and when the eviction votes begin you can be sure that he'll be asking you to 'vote remain' for Nigel Farage...
David Limbrick MLC joins us to continue our ongoing coverage of the financial woes of the State of Victoria. We're watching the Victorian Government flailing as it tries to 'right the ship' after a decade of disasterously poor economic management. Victoria is Australia's mostly deeply indebted state, and also the highest taxing. Now they're taking drastic measures to cut costs, postponing infrastructure spending or trying to offload it to the Federal Government, cancelling events such as the Commonwealth Games, and most recently hiking up berthing fees on cruise ship operators to completely absurd levels, causing them to simply move their operations elsewhere. It's a classic example of 'f*** around and find out', or to put it in more polite economic terms, it's the 'Laffer Curve' operating exactly as any economist would expect. Can Victoria get out of the mess it's in? And should it take more drastic measures such as cancelling the hosting of the F1 Grand Prix? Only time will tell.

Yesterday morning saw some horrible breaking news, that the Greens and Labor party have teamed up to (yet again) screw our irrigators in the Murray Darling Basin. They've gone ahead with plans to use buybacks to extract yet more water out of the productive pool, taking it away from farm environments where it helps with biodiversity and breeding grounds AND helps to grow food and fibre... and they plan to use it in their futile quest to keep the 'mouth of the Murray' open against the might of the Southern Ocean. It's just another body blow in a long list of hard hits that our farmers have had to deal with lately, and coming on top of a looming El Nino this is terrible news for our farmers.
An extract from this video is played during this segment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jh3tmuGyhlM
Here is Topher's original Murray Darling Basin video from February 2011: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrzTfLmbrJ4
The post-election negotiations in New Zealand have wound up at last, government has been formed, and our NZ correspondent Jonathan Kennerley is quite optimistic that the outcome is a good one, and that the elected government will deliver on their impressive promises to reduce the cost of living and taxes in New Zealand. Time will tell.

Craig Kelly, National Director of the United Australia Party joins Topher to discuss the delay in the Misinformation Disinformation bill and share his thoughts on what's actually happening. Topher then speaks with Senator Malcolm Roberts, on the changes that Qantas has made to their branding. When flights are being cancelled and delayed at the rate they currently are, it's an interesting place to put your focus. Whilst Sen. Roberts and Topher agree that Qantas staff themselves are generally excellent, those are the top seem to be running a business completely out of touch with the Australian population.

Finally John Ruddick MLC and Topher discuss the governments COVID inquiry terms of reference and it's lack of accountability for the States, despite them holding around 80% of the actual action taken during COVID. Slugging it out: Mulgrave up for grabs as the fight for truth and accountability continues
In this episode of The Aussie Wire News:
The Aussie Wire team is freshly back on home soil after their insightful journey to the ARC conference in London. Today, Topher answer the question: "Is ARC just another gathering by billionaires for billionaires?"
Get ready for an episode filled with thought-provoking insights…
First up, we have an exclusive interview with Ethelyn King, the Libertarian candidate for Mulgrave. Ethelyn shares her mission to bring libertarian ideals into the public eye.
Next, we're speaking with Dr. Paul Oosterhuis, an anaesthetist and the first to face suspension by AHPRA. Dr. Oosterhuis opens up about his experiences and delves into why he felt compelled to share his knowledge with the public.
Finally, we're joined by Dr. Ursula Edgington, an academic and author who first brought to light the vaccine exemptions granted in New Zealand for some of their workers. Preferred workers perhaps? Our discussion centres around the scant details available and the concerning nature of this secrecy.

In this ARC special edition of The Aussie Wire News, Topher ticks off a bucket list item as his decade long dream of interviewing Bjørn Lomborg comes true at ARC 2023.
Topher and Bjørn discuss not only what the better stories discussed at ARC are, but how to take steps toward an even better future. How the "end of the world" view has permeated society and what we can do to turn that ship around. And what really works: action not optics, to gain traction against the biggest issues we currently face as a society.
Bjørn also discusses his book "Best Things First" which focuses on just these topics, a book Topher has read and then re-read on his way to London.

The Alliance for Responsible Citizenship take a pro-human stance.

The Alliance for Responsible Citizenship describe themselves as “pro-human”. The only policy of Pro-humanism is to let people make their own decisions. Will ARC be the first “think tank” to put human flourishing ahead of things like CO2 emissions and centeralised government power?
As of Day 2 we see that the people here, indeed a group of “elites”, are coming at the problems of the world from a very different position. They do indeed seem to mean it when they say their stance is pro-human and wish to use their power and influence not to create disempowered and subservient masses, but rather believe that each individual should have the capacity to run their own lives and want to use their power thus.
Will this sincerity lead to action and change? That is yet to be determined and we’ll follow their progress over the coming weeks and months, but for now it appears that they are heading in the right direction.
