Rotterdam is a city of striking modern architecture. While all of the buildings are quite impressive, the most innovative and creative of all might be the Cube Houses, tilted 45-degrees in their playful, yellow color. These cubical structures look unlike anything you’ll find elsewhere in the world, and you can actually go inside them and even stay overnight. Venice: It's Italy's renowned canal city that everyone dreams of visiting someday. But did you know that Venice is not the only European city that offers boat trips surrounded by beautiful, medieval buildings? This is a Belgian city called Bruges, known as the “Venice of the North”. Do you know the best place to enjoy a spa in Germany? There are actually some famous spa towns, but one of the most popular is called Aachen. The historic city of Aachen is known for its healing thermal waters and hot springs dating back to Roman times. As someone from Japan, which is a hot spring paradise, I felt like I had to come to this city and try one of its renowned spas for myself. However, I have to say that the experience was very different from Japan’s hot springs and caused me to have the biggest culture shock since arriving in Germany. Finding a big Japanese community in a foreign country is not always easy, compared to other Asian cultures, such as Chinese and Korean. A couple of such places are Bangkok and Los Angeles, which are known for being cities that have a lot of Japanese residents. Cologne, Germany is known as the gay capital of Germany along with Berlin and about 10% of the city's 1.1 million residents identify as LGBTQ. Above all, Cologne CSD annually held in a German city, is one of the largest prides in Europe. On the weekend, around 1 million people join and celebrate the pride festival in flashy clothes. The Thai massage is one of the things that Thailand is most famous for. They’re great for relaxing the body and keeping you in good health, but sometimes, they can actually be quite painful. In another video, I got a massage in Thailand’s resort city, Pattaya, and it was pretty brutal, but afterwards, I found that my body felt really light and refreshed. Salzburg is an Austrian city that borders Germany. One of the things this city is most known for is the film “The Sound of Music”. Not only did the real Trapp family once live here, this movie classic was also filmed in and around the city. But the city is also very famous for being the birthplace of the classical composer Mozart. It has well-preserved historical architecture and the view of the Alps are amazing too.
