Rhythm Breakdown | How To Read Rhythm
Here's the Rhythm Breakdown on how to read rhythms. In common time, or 4/4, 4 beats make up the measure, or space we are working with. A whole note takes up that entire space, so how are the notes divided to equal 4 beats? 4 can be divided into 2, 2 divided into 1, 1 divided into eighths, eighths divided into 16th. Watch the video to see what the notes look like and how they are divided up into equaling 4. Here's how to read musical rhythm.

Tenor Sax Maintenance Tips | Keeping Your Saxophone Clean and Maintained
🎷 Tenor Sax Maintenance Tips 🎷
Keeping your Tenor Sax clean and maintained is the best way to make sure your saxophone remains beautiful and working properly. The biggest way to maintain your tenor sax is to clean it after every time you play. That includes wiping the outside of the sax with a microfiber cloth and running a swab through both your saxophone's body and neckpiece. Some people have a tendency to neglect cleaning the mouthpiece, but that's the direct part you place your mouth in! You'll want to clean your mouthpiece. I use Mi-T-Mist to help keep my mouthpiece clean and fresh.
You can find the Mi-T-Mist here: https://bit.ly/mi-t-mist

Minuet from the Suzuki Cello Book Volume 3
In this video, we dive into Minuet from Suzuki Cello Book 3 by Boccherini. This Minuet piece offers a variety of challenges and interesting elements, including trills, key shifts, repetition, and marked directions.
We start by exploring the first few measures, emphasizing the shift to the second position and the fingerings to follow. The transition from G to A is particularly important to mark.
As we progress, we practice different sections, such as measures 1 to 3 and 4, working on the shift and fingerings. We continue through the piece, paying attention to dynamics and trills.
Moving forward, we focus on the trio section, breaking down the rhythm and counting to ensure accuracy. Remember that rhythm can be a bit tricky, and it's essential to stay on track.
We revisit the trio section, emphasizing the rhythmic aspect, and then continue through to the end. We also discuss the repeats and navigation through the piece.
In the end, we play through the entire piece at a faster tempo, making sure to incorporate dynamics and all the techniques we've covered.
As you practice this piece, remember to mark your music for navigation and dynamics. Enjoy your practice, and happy playing!
