Birds can easily get stepped on and fatally injured. Be careful where they walk and play!

This "trick" is the foundation for all others because you can direct the movement and focus of your bird's attention. It's also the perfect way to target your bird to step onto your hand, especially for a bird fearful of hands.

Cassini the parrot just loves the shower and steam! She's always just so happy!

This is surprising to me! Both birds chose the higher density and quality food over the larger amount, of a lesser quality food. I hypothesize this is seen more in pet birds who never scavenge for food and know they will always be supplied with resources. What do you think?

Pluto is hard at work! He needs to make sureties dad has hits clothes and hats licked before he leaves in the morning.

Pluto has been on a diet recently and he’s not too happy about it!☀️I’ve cut out all of his almonds and limited the fruits down to apples only. The rest of his diet consists of mostly vegetables and pellets. I’ve read and now learned firsthand just how much sugar and fat impact a bird’s behavior! Pluto’s aggression and screaming have reduced by about 60% since I started.

I love her chatter! Caiques don't typically learn many words, but are great at screaming and whistling.

Pluto loves his grandad SO much! We had a great week off but are sad to be leaving each other.

There is so much beauty in these tiny creatures down to every cell and molecule. Note: the nectar is clean, it's just the outside glass that is a bit dirty. We change the solution twice a day.

These are Ruby-throated hummingbirds which are found in South America and the eastern parts of the U.S. and Canada.

Cassini is on a rampage as he tries to commit identity theft by stealing the credit card from his caretakers, and we think this video is absolutely hilarious!

Pluto is a really great health coach, but it looks like his mom is just a difficult client, so he gives all his best to stop her from eating candy! Adorable video!

Pluto will do anything for cuddles, almonds, or chin scratches.

I'm not sure if I approve of Cassini's current career choice...
