Every stone has a story. This agates story starts in Arizona where it was found. It was then sent to me and that's where this video starts. We take it in it's rough form, shape it, and polish it with a smooth rounded face polish. The lapidary tool used in this project was my 8" Cabking with the REZ wheels. I take an unbelievable gemstone, called iolite, and polish it on my lapidary unit, my 8" CABKING. This process took a little over an hour and was so enjoyable! We had to take a few steps back right out of the gate during this polishing process but it was well worth it because our polished cabochon turned out so well and the pleochroism is truly a wonder to see!
