In todays litigious society it’s important to have some evidence in the event something doesn’t go your way. With auto insurance fraud being so lucrative a Dash Cam is a simple way to protect yourself. Today I’m installing a Viofo A119 V3 w/GPS in my 2016 BMW X5. Afterwards I compare the Viofo to the Apeman C450a I have installed in my truck and for fun a GoPro Hero 7. Interestingly, the Viofo wins the battle. It seemed to have the highest color profile, clearest picture and was easy to use and install. I was actually kind of surprised given the price point at only $109.99.

Harbor Freight + Home Depot For The Win!
Welding is hard and trying to find all your gear can be even tougher. From what I’ve seen most welding carts are open frame and don’t provide a lot of storage. Well for me storage has become more and more important. I decided that a midsize tool box would be my best bet. So I modified a 46”x 24.5” Husky tool box to hold 2 welding tanks and all my gear. On top of that I’m using a Vulcan Omnipro 220. This is a 110v/220v multiprocess (TIG, Stick, MIG) machine that leaves lots of room for learning and building my skills. I started with a Craftsman stick welder and quickly sold that in favor of my Lincoln Handy MIG machine. Looking back and knowing what I know now I wish I had waited/saved up for a multiprocess machine like the Vulcan. I have found for me I am able to produce better welds with and without gas. It’s given me the opportunity to learn how to TIG without a dedicated machine and has worked flawlessly for about a year now.

Ford Trailer Sway Control
In this video I describe how to deactivate your trailer sway control, at least on my Superduty. This is probably similar on other Ford products. I've found the system way too sensitive for my liking and it makes the trailer feel as though it's bouncing around more than it actually is. Obviously, if you don't feel you can control your trailer, leave this feature on as it is a safety feature just like traction control or ABS. But for everyone else give it a try in a safe environment and see if you notice a difference.

Regular video here-- https://youtu.be/aVNDomRsR88
This was my best competition run of the day at 50.513. Later in the day during the "Time Only" runs I was able to get down to 50.061. Soo close to breaking into the 4X time frame. For this event I was testing a new part. I had added adjustable front sway bar brackets (Unicorn Reins) set on the Sport (softest setting). There was a noticeable improvement in front roll during the slalom sections. The car still oversteers pretty bad under power which leaves room to control any understeer that the front bar might introduce.
