Will this lead to mandating covid-19 vaccines for children to attend school? That would be bonkers. This seems bizarre. Data from various countries shows that children are at even lower risk of serious illness, hospitalisation and death from Covid-19 than what was perceived before, and it was seen to be low before. Also, the vaccines have only been around for a short period. Doesnt it normally take many years before a vaccine can and should be added to the child vaccine schedule? Added to the low risk that covid-19 presents to them, this doesnt make any sense. Wouldnt it be the first to be added without any data? Is it about maintaining authorisation, keeping zero liability for the pharmaceuitcals, just about the money or something else? Although off the face of it, it sounds like this vote means that children will have to have a covid-19 vaccine to attend school (ludicrous), but it is still for each state to decide on whether that happens.
