Overall, 92.34 million birds have been killed since the outbreak began in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. I haven't been keeping close track of all the chickens killed in our many mysterious chicken farm fires, but it has to be somewhere around 10 million - that number isn't included here. Yet another 4.2 million chickens will be killed after this so-called bird flu hit the Iowa egg farm.
