On our way back from Charlottesville, freaky weather separated us on Skyline Drive. I could barely see just a few feet in front of me at times...

We almost got runover by this bigrig coming down the mountain! We were on a group ride with a couple friends and this bigrig rode our tail for miles. We had to maintain a very fast speed to keep from getting run over.

This is how I take care of my helmet. With just a few simple steps after each ride, my helmet stays clean and ready to use anytime.

This Jeep guy confronted me in the middle of rush hour traffic.

I saved my husband's life! Comms helped in this potentially life changing moment. We have comms in our helmets, and they aren't just for entertainment...we communicate hazards and potential dangers. When I recognized what was happening, I was able to alert him, and he was able to act quickly. I find it very hard to ride without them anymore. I feel so much safer. Sometimes hearing my guy's voice is calming and reassuring for me. #bikerchick #coupleswhoride

We took a road trip to Charlottesville for Mother's Day and to celebrate hubby's birthday! This was my first big trip on the big bike. She is significantly bigger than my daily driver. I am tip toed so i do still struggle with slow speed stuff. We took a pass through the VA-211. For those who don't know, less than 2 years ago I was terrified of riding motorcycles. The VA-211 was one of those first twisty roads that literally made me silently cry in my helmet. So, the fact that I actually enjoy riding this road now on my own motorcycle is just a testament to how far I have come in my journey as a newer rider. The journey has only just begun. I ride the bike that started it all. I was absolutely terrified of motorcycles just 2 years ago. My husband bought this bike, and we rode 2-up on it for many trips. I rode my husbands motorcycle for the first time. It's a Yamaha FJ-09, with CP3 engine and is very fast! If you roll on it too hard the front wheel wants to come up which terrifies me, so even though I rolled on hard I was very careful when shifting gears cause i was so scared the wheel would come up. This bike really is allot of fun. We drove around the local area and just enjoyed the beautiful spring day. This is literally why I don't have more videos out there. It's riding season so every nice day we're out there riding. Thank you for all the love and support.

In my opinion, the Cherohala Skyway is better than the Tail of the Dragon. With it's long sweeping turns and extreme elevation changes along with it being over 4 times as long, it is an absolutely stunning ride. Don't get me wrong, I loved the Tail of the Dragon. If you can tell me what America's pastime is - I'll send you one of my stickers.
