Does it really help to take notes on books I read? How detailed should I be when taking notes? 🤔
A couple of weeks ago a close friend of mine shared a podcast link with me from Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Radio Show, The World Economy is on the Edge of Crisis. During the episode I thought to myself, "I've heard about this book for years. I should probably pick up a copy and read it (Rich Dad. Poor Dad)."Then, 3 days later while I was not feeling well and looking for work notes, I "coincidently" found a two-page file from 2014 on the book that I read back then and forgot about. This video short talks about why we should read, take notes on what we read, and thanks the wise woman who taught me this way back in 1990, Mrs. Tosti! 😇

Dr. Fred Moss | Listening Authentically to Bring Joy, Communication, & Healing to the World | S4 E84
Hello friends! Welcome to this week's episode of the Remarkable People Podcast, The Dr. Fred Moss story! This week Dr. Moss is going to be bombarded with questions from me. I think I asked more questions to Dr Fred on-air and off, than I have in any episode to date. He's a psychiatrist, a communicator, an author, and a coach, but he doesn't believe in pharmaceuticals. And even though he's treated tens of thousands of patients throughout his career with pharmaceuticals, he saw pharmaceuticals were not helping, but what did help people was listening authentically to bring joy and healing to the world. So check out this remarkable episode about understanding humanity, the mind, and the importance of communication to really love and bring joy into one another's lives, the Dr. Fred Moss Story!
GUEST BIO:
Dr Fred Moss arrived on Earth on March 1,1958, and from that very second has been earmarked to be a healer. The family he was born into was in chaos and in many ways, was counting on his arrival to bring health and wellness back into balance. Little Freddy had his hands full, and over the next 6 decades, has made it his business to bring healing to the world around him, not only to his family and friends but to the community and world at large. What a journey it has been. Above all else, Dr. Fred has been committed to the notion that communication, connection, creativity, and conversation are at the heart of all healing of all conditions of all types. Without this, people simply do not heal. With it, miracles regularly occur. Voices heal. Listening heals.

David Edwards | Changing Our Views on Debt, Our Career & Becoming the Captain of Our Own Lives | E83
Did you hear the one about the former accountant turned author? You know, the young man one that grew up in a home where alcohol negatively impacted and broke his family, and then his mother got remarried to another alcoholic and repeated the cycle of abuse.
Watch or listen now to this week's guests real-life story, the details of his journey, how he got free from over a hundred thousand dollars of debt, and recovered from bankruptcy. In this episode we talk about changing our relationship with money, changing our thoughts, and changing the way we process and look at our careers. And then go into how we can become the captain of our own destiny. All this and more in this weeks episode of the podcast, the David Edwards story!
GUEST BIO:
David R. Edwards worked his way through school, eventually achieving an MBA in Healthcare Administration. He served mostly lower income people on 3 continents over the last 35 years and is familiar with the challenges and unfairness of life. In 2018 while working with doctors, dentists, counselors, nurses, community health workers, and others he had an epiphany. The core challenge most people have is to generate the personal drive to direct their own life, enduring principles to guide, and the most current science-based tools to assist them through a bumpy and messy life. His first book “New You! Who Knew?” is an attempt to put in writing an easy to digest and implement guide that builds confidence, esteem, and self-compassion in balance. David lives in the Western U.S. with Linda, his wife of 36 years and their Golden Retriever, Jasper. Dave and Linda have 2 grown daughters.
