In case you've never heard Maj. W. Ian Thomas, you'll want to hear this message. Maj. Thomas was an evangelist to Christians. He taught us that Jesus' death on the cross and shedding His blood saves us from our sins; but it's His resurrection and ascension that gives us authority. Due to a conference I attended in Siloam Springs back in the early 80's where he spoke, my Christian life took a most important turn for which I will always be grateful.

Pre-Trib Rapture --- Deception? ... or Truth!
Pastor Doug gave this message October 1, 2020 to correct the deceptive erroneous teaching by those who believe the church will have to endure the “day of the Lord” that includes the 7-year tribulation (Daniel’s 70th Week). For those of us who understand the correct eschatology, we need to be shored up for when tribulation and persecution comes upon the church that we will know where we are in the prophetic scene, and will have ‘ammunition’ to use to correct those in error who say we’re now in the Tribulation. Doug clearly taught the distinction between the rapture of the church and the day of the Lord. Here are my notes:
• As some (many?) teach that the rapture of the church is included in the day of the Lord (see 2 Thess. 2:2), and when we encounter persecution and tribulation, we’ll be told we are in the Tribulation, Doug gets us straight on our understanding of eschatology, the study of end-times. The eschatology for the church is distinct from that of Israel and the Gentile nations.
• Just because you are experiencing persecution and tribulation, this does not prove you’re in the 7-year Tribulation, and therefore can figure out what vial is being release, or which horse is coming this way.
• Doug has told us about the very real possibility of a counterfeit tribulation – how our enemy the devil might bring such catastrophes on the earth similar to what we read in Revelation 6 – 19, especially what so many will (and even now) believe is the ‘mark of the beast’.
• The ‘day of the Lord’ is in two phases: 1) 7-year Tribulation (after the church is removed); 2) the millennial kingdom. As the Jewish custom is to start each day at sundown (i.e.: 6 p.m.’ish), so also the day of the Lord begins with the dark judgments of the Tribulation and then culminating in the light of Jesus’ return to establish the millennial kingdom.
• The Jewish eschatology begins with judgment on unbelievers with the purpose of salvation to those who recognize and believe in Jesus as Yesha Hamashiach. The church’s eschatology includes the judgment of believers (1 Peter 4:17; Hebrews 12:25-29; 1 Cor. 11:30-31; Rev. 2:21-23; 3:3, 10, 16, 19) with the purpose of sanctification and purging as she ‘makes herself ready’ for her Bridegroom to come for her (Rev. 19:7 cp Eph. 5:27).
• ‘A day is as a thousand years’ – the day of the Lord is the 1,000 year millennial kingdom that starts with the 7-year (.7% of 1 day) Tribulation.
• To those who would accuse Doug of ‘private interpretation’, he taught us from the Hebrew and Greek texts along with countless writings of theologians who did their homework to glean the truth from the scriptures.
• I recall how early on in Doug’s ministry to us as pastor he cleared so much up when he explained what is not included in the Old Testament and the Gospels, the doctrine of the mystery which was hidden (Eph. 3:9; Col. 1:26). This helps so much when we, for example, read the sermon on the mount where Jesus is prophesying what is to come – not for the church (which won’t come into existence until Jesus’ resurrection and Pentecost), but for Israel and the nations. When Jesus taught “Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other will be left.”, He wasn’t describing the rapture – He was teaching what will happen at the end of the Tribulation.
• The eschatology in the Old Testament and the Gospels is that of Israel, not the church. The eschatology in the New Testament includes the eschatology of Israel (i.e.: Rev. 6-19) and that of the church.
• Without a clear revelation and understanding of dispensational theology and the mystery of The Christ, your eschatology will be confused (to say the least).
• The return of Christ for the church (the rapture) is clearly different from Him returning to Israel and the nations (2nd coming). The rapture event is private, not public when He return and “every eye will see Him” (Rev. 1:7); Jesus comes in the clouds (1 Thess. 4:17), not with the clouds (Rev. 1:7); Jesus comes to take away His bride (1 Thess. 4:17) and comes back with His bride (Col. 3:4 cp. Rev. 19:14); Jesus rescues the church (rapture) and takes us to His house (John 14:3) and comes back (2nd Advent) to rescue Israel (Zech. 14:4) and we with Him (Zech. 14:5) to establish His millennial kingdom on earth (Rev. 20:6 cp. 2 Tim. 2:12); 1 Thess. 4:13-18 = the rapture; 1 Thess. 5:1-11 = the day of the Lord (specifying the church will not encounter the wrath of God coming in that day); the return of Christ to rapture the church is a rescue, but the return of Christ in the day of the Lord is to bring judgment on Israel and the nations.

Nephilim Super Soldiers & Satan’s Infiltration in the Church
End Time Talk Radio 11/24/2011 Interview with Pastor Doug Riggs & Dr. Preston Bailey
Many things were discussed: Bigfoot; chimeras; Nephilim; trauma-based mind control; sermonettes given to Christianettes; seeker-friendly entertainment churches; dumbed-down church; Satanic rituals - targeted spiritual warfare against the church; DID caused by SRA; judgment coming on Laodicea; where's the proof of a hybrid breeding program; transgenics; DNA source-code for the mark of the beast; the difference between 'Multiple Identity Disorder' (now Dissociative Identity Disorder) and demon oppression or possession; what is D.I.D. and who has it?'; who was Josef Mengele?; Monarch Mind Control (https://www.dougriggs.org/Origins_and_Techniques_of_Monarch_Mind_Control.pdf); M-K-Ultra; Operation Paperclip; Nephilim Super Soldiers of the 4th Reich; New World Order; Hybrids (Nephilim) are in control - no longer the 'kings of the earth'; the rapture is a rescue.
Interesting note to see the capacity and depth of spiritual and biblical understanding and wisdom Doug has when talking to others... i.e.: people talking about demons and Doug talks about principalities and powers; scientific laboratories producing transgenics vs. fallen angels cohabitating with women to produce Nephilim hybrids; Doug's tract seems way above others who are asking questions or sharing their thoughts.
Additional Note: sorry for poor sound quality - not able to be improved upon.

Understanding Genesis 6 Nephilim & The Days of Noah
In this SESSION 1 interview with Gilbert Myers (2013 - edited & condensed), Pastor Doug Riggs explains the truth about ‘alien’ abductions: it is the breeding program to produce Nephilim hybrids, the offspring of fallen angels and the human women used to breed them. This is what was foretold by Jesus when He declared that in the end time, it would be just like in the days of Noah (i.e.: Genesis 6). Doug describes the gap between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 as that period of time God had created the angelic host and at some point Lucifer rebelled prior to what we read as to the restored earth and the garden of Eden. Genesis 3:15 describes two seeds, the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent. The seed of the woman is the Messiah – and the church, the body of Christ; the seed of the serpent is the antichrist – and corporately, the hybrid race of the Nephilim. Genesis 6 describes the first attack to corrupt the seed of the woman.
One thing I noticed as I listened and did some editing of this interview was how full and overflowing Doug was as he wanted to explain this very critical subject – more like a fire hose than a sip of water – so it requires concentration and focus on all he’s sharing. As the quality of the audio is challenging to listen to, I did what I could to help us hear the discussion. Thankfully the second session is so much better and easier to listen to.
Satan’s agenda is to keep this truth about Genesis 6 and the seed war hidden – and he’s done a good job, as there are not that many out there who have a clear picture of this conspiracy to interfere with the ultimate return of Jesus Christ to establish His rule and reign here on planet Earth. Doug also reveals the fact that the Smithsonian Institution has been covering up and hiding a plethora of evidence over many decades of discoveries of the evidence of Nephilim even here in the Americas.
So, what do these hybrid Nephilim have to do with the Alien Agenda – ‘The Truth is Out There’ – ‘We are not alone’ – the Ancient Aliens – etc.? What is the ‘Disclosure’ event? How will so many be deceived into believing the extraterrestrial aliens seeded Earth millions of years ago to eventuate the evolution of the human species? Are the aliens going to save us from humanity destroying the planet? What are the Deep Underground Military Bases (D.U.M.B.’s) used for? Will the aliens help humanity make its next evolutionary leap with a DNA upgrade so we can be like them? Will we become like gods?
Session 2
Doug and Gilbert discuss the coming deception around the disclosure event (currently a ‘soft disclosure’ being presented so as to not cause hysteria and panic), and the fact that many of the current Nephilim do not appear as 12’ giants, but like ordinary humans. So what made the difference between giants and other strange creature-looking hybrids (i.e.: greys; reptilians) and the quintessential perfect human-like hybrids of today? It was discovered that certain women who were of certain royal bloodlines and were born again into the body of Christ were raised and bred to produce them. It is of this line of Nephilim that the antichrist and false prophet have been birthed and will appear once the church is removed. These women have been used by the cult to power up and enrich world leaders.
Doug challenges the Christian pastors who are not teaching the truth about the strategies of the enemy especially as it relates to these last days and the soon appearing of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. “It’s our pulpits that are so dumb-downed when it comes to some of these issues; it’s a tragedy.” Doug challenges those who spend their lives digging up bones to prove the existence of Nephilim from thousands of years ago but don’t carry out due diligence in listening to the eye-witness survivors who have firsthand knowledge, who were born into the project (i.e.: Genesis 6 last days hybrid breeding program) who produced these quintessential hybrids.
In these sessions, Doug warns of the coming deception that will engulf the world, even Christians, when the disclosure of these ‘aliens’ happens – and it already has begun. “The question is: how many Christians will fall away (2 Thessalonians 2) when they are told by those that are supposed to be leaders in the church that these entities, that are not E.T.’s, they are hybrids, are now our saviors, and they have come to show us the way to evolve to become god-men.”
“This will be the source of Satan’s one new man; this will be the source of the image of the beast; this will be the DNA source code as well for the mark of the beast… and used as a mark – put that in an injection, and now that person will be promised, ‘You will not die; you shall be like God; you shall live forever!’”

Last Days Pre-Tribulation Rapture
This was another of Pastor Doug Riggs' earliest interviews with GeorgeAnne Hughes, stressing the point that we, the church, need to wake up to the deception that is here in the church. “The church has been infiltrated by very highly crafted agents who present all the Christian vocabulary, and they are in high places of ministry, yet they’re full Illuminized – they’re programmed, and they have been engineered and structured into a weapons platform so that right in the church they are a channeler of high ranking principalities and powers to put the church to sleep, and to bring corruption and leaven into the church. And you try to mention this to even leaders who you think would know better; they think you’re from another planet.”
NOTE: I ‘happened’ to stumble on Amir Tsarfati’s well researched and presented Europe: Ready for the Antichrist (Amir Tsarfati: Europe: Ready for the Antichrist - YouTube) – that he presented at the Understanding the Times Conference 2016. This was the same day I edited the portion of Doug’s interview where he revealed the truth about the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. I find it amazing how Amir, completely unaware of what Doug said 7 years earlier, aligns with him. However, Amir is probably not aware of the extent evil is so prevalent there – (i.e.: the satanic rituals underground). The survivors I’ve heard are consistent in their reporting of them over many years.
And the first time I led a group up on the Temple Mount, which I don't do anymore. The place is completely given to Satan, I believe. The first time I came, I went, I approached the Dome of the Rock. And then, of course, I stood right in front of that marble slab. And I saw that face of the beast looking right at me … I remember I saw it and I nearly passed out. I felt Such demonic presence right there, I totally believe that starting from Ezekiel 8 and then 10, the Spirit of God left that place long ago, I mean, on and on to the Mount of Olives and departed from that place. And as people worshiped Tammuz and other deities in that place and completely abandoned the worship of the true and the living God.
As I’m listening and working through this session, I am very aware of the seeds of future podcasts and teachings being formulated - the future What is the Church and the Day of Visitation series; the Blessed Hope and Celestial Court messages that will in time be presented.
Doug explains the most important key to understanding eschatology and the uniqueness of the calling of the church as very distinctly different from that of Israel as being the revelation of the mystery – that which was given by God to the Apostle Paul who delivered it to us, the church, in his prison epistles. Without it, we are lost in a quagmire of ignorant arguments the only serve to divide the church instead of unifying her.
“It’s not a ‘blessed hope’ if I gotta wait for Antichrist to come; and I gotta wait three-quarters of the way through the tribulation for a ‘pre-wrath rapture’. I’m not lookin for Jesus Christ – I gotta wait until Antichrist is on the earth for two-thirds of the tribulation period, and then I’m gonna get caught up. I don’t see any ‘blessed hope’ in that!”

The Justice of God in the Last Days
This is one of Pastor Doug Riggs' earliest interviews with GeorgeAnne Hughes. He begins with noting that since Pentecost and on into the eternal state, there are three distinctions of mankind: the nations (Gentiles); Israel; and the church. Each has a distinct history and a distinct destiny, and none are identical. Without this elementary understanding, one is left to wander by every wind of doctrine but that of the truth when it comes to a clear understanding of calling and eschatology.
Doug discusses the warnings we see in scripture that warn nations of judgment – and the fact America is not exempt. Throughout this message, we note man’s failure and Satan’s inability to bring the world peace, and what God’s remedy is, turning over all to the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ. We see how God’s holiness and righteousness is satisfied when God once for all dealt with the sin and depravity of mankind. The justice and righteousness of God not only sends unrepentant sinners to an eternal lake of fire, but this same justice and righteousness sends repentant sinners to eternal life in heaven.

The End of All Things is at Hand - Session 4
This is the fourth of four messages Pastor Doug Riggs gave in his interviews with GeorgeAnn Hughes in her podcast, The ByteShow, in January 2011.
Here are my notes:
o Doug warns us over 12 ½ years ago that, “For the first time in human history, mankind is now in possession of the technologies, and the convergence of many disciplines and technologies that can produce the ‘image of the beast’. We should be very alert to the fact that we are in a very unique place in human history that we’ve never been here before.”
o “How does mankind attain the level of technology that enables him (Antichrist) to make or create an image to the beast?” This session delves into that which will occur after the church has been removed (raptured) and the day of the Lord (7-year tribulation / Daniel’s 70th week) begins.
o Doug mentions, “This whole alien deception is coming – this ‘Disclosure’ event, those that are flying real craft (UFO’s / UAP’s). I clearly believe these are hybrids (i.e.: Nephilim) that are in existence today; they’re going to come declaring that they are the council of the Elohim – that they are our creators, and they have come to direct and show mankind how to become who they are as members of the class of Elohim.”
o “You can create nanobots that can change molecular structures, atomic structures; you can program nanobots to actually restructure our DNA. This is incredible! Nanotechnology now in the hand of man, and under the influence of Satan, combined with synthetic biology, artificial intelligence is incredible, in and of itself. The confluence and the convergence of these technologies is what I see is the background of that which makes it possible for mankind to actually create an image of the beast.”
o In this session, Doug reads extensively from the transhumanists agenda that demonstrates the technological advances in genetic engineering and its expected result of the ultimate evolution of man to reach god-like status, the promise the serpent gave Eve in the garden at the beginning of the existence of the human species, “the human advancement revolution”.
o Doug (prophetically?) says: “Something’s going to have to occur to alter his DNA. So why not just insert into his body some injection that would involve the technology that created the image of the beast so that man can now make his final evolutionary step into becoming like a god-man.” Remember folks, this is 2011!! “They will flock to receive this particular mark, that is most likely an injection…” Doug clearly taught us over the years that we (Christians) won’t be here when the ‘mark of the beast’ is instituted – but the precursor to the mark can be here prior to the rapture – and that mark could clearly be an injection of that which alters one’s DNA and once made effective, will so alter man’s genetic code to make him something other than humanity as God created us originally, thus rendering him unredeemable.
o “Mankind in this generation already has the biotechnology, the artificial technology, the G.R.I.N. technology (genetics, robotics, artificial intelligence, nanotechnology), to create an image of the Antichrist who will display himself as God.”

The End of All Things is at Hand - Session 3
This is the third of four messages Pastor Doug Riggs gave in his interviews with GeorgeAnn Hughes in her podcast, The ByteShow, in December 2010 – January 2011.
Here are my notes:
o Doug warns us, “As we approach the end, folks, there’s going to be a huge crisis between that which is true humanity – that is, who we are as originally created in the image of God, and that which is moving under Satanic influence towards the homo noeticus, the Adam Kadmon, the new man of the new age, and that which will dominate the new age and the golden age of the Luciferian agenda.”
o “When we’re born again, we have eternal life. But that life is to develop – it comes through knowing Jesus Christ… and experiential knowing.”
o Who will make up the remnant that will be raptured? According to Kittle’s Theological Dictionary of the New Testament, it will be “a remnant of a people which survives a disaster.”
o This is not a sermonette for Christianettes. Doug takes another deep dive into the original languages of the bible to clearly define what is meant by the term ‘a surviving remnant’ that will be alive at the end of the church age prior to its rapture. He also informs us how many of the Old Testament prophecies were not only fulfilled centuries ago, but they have a near-view and a far-view. I wonder if there are any churches out there with pastors who teach at this level….
o “God has to take very patient and specific ways with us to reduce our natural strength, to circumcise our hearts of that old natural man, and to break us of anything that represents natural strength (I’m not talking about sin, now, I’m talking about natural strength).”
o “’Be strong in the Lord’ (Ephesians 6:10). It’s a command for the saints: ‘habitually receive power from within’ through your union with the Lord.” We are not exhorted to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps and be strong, as if it’s something we in or of ourselves could do. We are to receive the power of God He gives us that is within us to be strong in the Lord. The power and strength we need to live the Christian life is in Him and it is He who enables us from within, as we draw on Him and His strength to do what He asks us to do. As Maj. Ian Thomas says, “Christ does not give us victory; He IS our victory.” Doug adds, “He doesn’t give us life; He IS our life. Christ does not give us strength; He IS our strength… He doesn’t give us wisdom; He IS our wisdom.”
o As this series is all about the end of all things being at hand (NOW!)… Doug draws much attention to what a remnant is, and how this applies to the last days of the church age – and how that compares to the last days of the age of Israel, it’s remaining 7 years to soon occur once the church is removed.
o In this series, Doug addresses the question: ‘How do we survive judgment as a remnant?’
o As Doug references the remnant in the Old Testament, he equates them to “many Christians today who have been rejected by the established church.” (I, for one, have a couple of those t-shirts.) Doug adds, “We’ve been asked to leave two churches since we’ve been here in Syracuse just because of the work we do, working with generational SRA/DID. There’s no place for that in the churches. They don’t want to hear about it; they don’t want to know about it. In fact, a lot of them don’t even believe it.”
o “The humble will make up the remnant; the arrogant will be removed.”
o “’Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.’ This is a specific eschatological promise to the Jewish people as they approach the end. Christians will not inherit the earth; they will not! Our inheritance is in Christ; our inheritance is a heavenly inheritance.”
o “’There’s a salvation ready to be revealed’ in the last days. It’s not just initial salvation, but there’s an eschatological salvation that is to be revealed (1 Peter 1:5 cp 1 Peter 2:12). It’s called ‘the day of visitation.’”
o “Where we are in history as the church, we are asleep to the fact that this is what God is going to do in the church prior to His coming to take the church out. There’s going to be a sifting; there’s going to be an elimination process. We’re oblivious to it!”

End of All Things - Session 2
This is the second of four messages Pastor Doug Riggs gave in his interviews with GeorgeAnn Hughes in her podcast, The ByteShow, in December 2010 – January 2011.
Here are my notes:
o Doug brings us up to speed on some of the amazing technology that is emerging – the very same kinds of technology we read about in Genesis 6 and how God brought judgment on the human race then – and soon again He will deal with what is again threatening to so alter the human race to make it no longer human. That judgment was by water – the next will be by fire.
o “Man will reach a certain point called singularity – that is the confluence of all these various technologies – (which) will result in a paradigm shift whereas artificial intelligence will exceed the intelligence of the programmer, its creator, man.” (WoW!!! We hear that day after day on the news today about the warnings of A.I. … 12 years after Doug shared this!)
o As the serpent tempted Eve in the garden with a pathway to be like God, this promise continues to this day utilizing the technology of transhumanism and human enhancement.
o “We’re laggards of the species, and if we don’t go along with their agenda and move forward to their ‘new man’, Homo Noeticus, Adam Kadmon, then they will have a right to remove us, because we’re not going along with the evolutionary process to perfection.”
o The believed name of the Antichrist: Apollyon Nimrod Alexander. Apollyon = destruction; chaos; economic and societal collapse. “Satan is planning a false flag operation. During this chaos… there will be ‘bad aliens’ and the ‘good aliens’ so called. And in the time of Disclosure and in chaos, the ‘good aliens’ will come according to the Raëlians; who are these aliens? They are called ‘the Elohim’. ‘You shall be like Elohim knowing good and evil,’ Satan said. They have come to rescue mankind; they are the Elohim; they have come to show us how to attain Elohim-status. This is one of the scenarios of the whole alien deception.” Doug later in this message states, “The rapture of the church is a rescue from this false flag.”
o “They already have the technology for these (‘alien’) ships; (SRA) survivors are being flown to rituals all over the world – they can be anywhere in the world in fifteen minutes. The technology is there.”
o The Nephilim hybrids are using UAPs (UFOs) as their means of transportation. They have a symbiotic connection to the craft and able to maneuver them with mind control; they use the craft for abducting people for genetic engineering, splicing, and creation of part-human creatures (i.e.: chimeras) and transporting SRA survivors to rituals around the world.
o Prior to the rapture, “there’s going to be a final assault upon the church.”
o “When the church is removed, the restraining ministry of the Holy Spirit is removed, then Psalm 2: 3 can be fulfilled” where they say, “Let us tear their fetters apart and cast away their cords from us!”
o “The church cannot be here on earth while those that are following Antichrist, and are under the deception of Satan and the Antichrist, are saying, ‘Peace and safety.’ You can’t have followers of Antichrist saying, ‘Peace and safety’, with the body of Christ here.”
o “Once Apollyon has unleashed his assault on the seed of Christ (Isaiah 53:10), then the church, those ‘who are alive and survive’, will be rescued.”
o Doug does a deep dive into the actual translation of the phrases we read in 1 Thessalonians 4:15 and 17, “we who are alive and remain” so we can understand who exactly is the Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul referring to as those who will be raptured. It is to be better understood as “those who are the living ones, those who are the surviving remnant”. To back up his claim, Doug reads from an exhaustive Greek theological dictionary that explains this.
o As Doug explains the use of the word remnant in scriptures, and considering the end of the church age just prior to the rapture of the church, he says, “There is a process of reduction that leaves only a remnant.”
o “A lot of people have very much resisted the rapture doctrine because they say it just puts people to sleep – ‘We don’t have to worry about what’s coming upon us; we don’t need to be concerned; we can basically be asleep because the rapture’s going to save us.”
o “Prior to the rapture, this false flag – this pseudo Armageddon – resulting in the removal of that which is the restraint – and then they’ll be saying, ‘Peace and safety.’”
o “The church has its own tribulation before Israel and the nations have their tribulation.”
o “’To wait longingly and expectantly for His Son from heaven’ – that is a characteristic of a remnant.”
o “God’s biggest problem – and our biggest problem – is our strength, not our weakness.”

The End of All Things is at Hand - Session 1
This is the first of four messages Doug gave in his interviews with GeorgeAnn Hughes in her podcast, The ByteShow, in December 2010 – January 2011.
Here are my notes:
Some of the topics mentioned: Nephilim Hybrid Breeding Program, Josef Mengele, eugenics, Hitler and Nazi Germany, New Age philosophy, Genesis 6 account of fallen angels cohabiting with human women creating a super-race of demi-gods, occult, advance technology, antigravitic UFO’s (craft), multi-dimensional gateway portals, holocaust, Arian Nordic Homo-noeticus, top secret black ops, UFO abduction breeding program, families of generational ritual abuse, how those in power get their power, Illuminati, kings of the earth, Club of Rome, Bilderberg Group, Council of 13, antichrist, New World Order, Nimrod Apollyon Alexander (first-born hybrids – name of the antichrist), Homo-Satanus – Satan in the flesh, gene splicing, hybrid chimeras, super soldiers, Hollywood mass programming, gateway to the gods, satanic conspiracy, the rapture of the church, the day of the Lord, second advent, pre-tribulation rapture, the wrath of God.
o Doug cites the emerging science of transhumanism that utilizes genetic engineering and robotics that is moving toward the creation of a new species of man, the goal of satanic bioengineering to displace humanity as God created with that which is unredeemable. Reminder: Doug discussed this over a dozen years ago.
o Doug warns of the invasion into the church of the pagan Kundilini spirit evidenced by “holy laughter”, bodies jerking and gyrating, being thrown on the floor, ‘slain in the spirit’.
o Doug explains the effects of chronic trauma to victims of Satanic Ritual Abuse, sex abuse, incest, and the resulting Dissociative Identity Disorder (formerly known as Multiple Personality Disorder).
o Will the church go through the tribulation? What is the name of the Antichrist? Who are the Nephilim? Are there Nephilim among us today? Where do the hybrid Nephilim come from? What happens when the restraining ministry of the Holy Spirit is removed from the Earth?
o “The church will go through what will appear to be an Armageddon… It’s the day of visitation” (1 Peter 2:12).
o Doug has clearly taught over the years that our salvation is 3-fold: we were saved (when we received God’s gift of salvation in Christ); we are being saved (commonly referred to as sanctification); and we will be saved (referred to our final salvation when we are raptured – the dead in Christ first rising and then the surviving remnant being snatched out of this world).
o Those who preach a pre-tribulation rapture rarely teach that it will only be a surviving remnant left after God judges His household that will be taken. I believe this is a major reason why those who teach a mid-trib, post-trib, pre-wrath or other flawed doctrine (who actually see the church going through a purging process) consider the pre-trib teaching as an escapist and ignorant view of eschatology. The church will go through tribulation prior to its removal from Earth – but it won’t be the day of the Lord (7-year tribulation) awaiting Israel and the Gentile nations.
o “How are the new-world-order people going to bring about ‘peace and safety’ (1 Thessalonians 5:3) without first the systematic elimination of that which is their obstruction (i.e.: the restraining ministry of the Holy Spirit in and through the church)? (Psalm 2:3) There is a plan to completely remove all Christians, as well as Jews, from the face of the earth. The first target will be the church.”
o “The church is going to face its darkest as well as its brightest hour just prior to the rapture.”
o “Jesus is coming for a prepared people.” Can we really honestly say the church is prepared for Jesus’ coming? Has the bride made herself ready? (Revelation 19:7)
o “When He came at the first advent, He sent a prophet to make a way for the Lord, to prepare a way for the Lord, by doing what? By getting a people ready and prepared for the Lord. It’ll be no less true with reference to the coming of the Lord for His church, and the coming of the Lord for a saved remnant at the end of the tribulation.”

Eternal Inheritance - Session 5
This is the fifth of five messages Doug gave in his interviews with GeorgeAnn Hughes in her podcast, The ByteShow, in 2010.
Here are my notes:
o Doug continues to use scriptures to illustrate the concept that God’s redemption of His people is not an end in itself, but is the beginning of a warfare of conquest and dispossessing of the enemy in order to take possession of the promise of the inheritance. This requires our obedience to follow the Lord fully. “Possession requires strength; but that strength that the Lord provides will not be there unless there’s obedience.”
o “No individual can possess their full inheritance in Christ by themselves; we must be related.”
o Doug reminds us of how we Christians can be drawn into idolatry – and how that jeopardizes our ability to obtain the inheritance God wants us to possess. It’s not about losing our salvation – it’s about losing full reward. It’s not about trying to keep saved. It’s about obtaining our inheritance in Christ.
o Doug quoted Ernie Hile from the conference he went to, “The new covenant is only given to the new man.” He added, “The law is given to the old man.”
o “This is not a sermonettes for Christianettes… just sit there and twiddle our thumbs as we hear somebody try to put the word of God into a straightjacket of a homiletic outline of three points, a poem and a prayer… My responsibility as a pastor ever since the beginning is to give the people the word of God.”
o “Holiness is becoming a partaker of the divine nature which qualifies us to rule and reign” with Christ.
o “There’s a final eschatological shaking that will come upon the entire church. Why? Because God will narrow everything down and gain His whole possession in His church… There’s going to be that narrowing down process as we approach the end, so that only a remnant, ‘those who are alive and survive’ (1 Thess. 4:15, 17); that surviving remnant (περιλείπομαι – perileipomai) ‘shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air.’”
o “In the days ahead, that which we call ‘church’, if it’s not on the ground of Christ… if it’s on sand and not on the solid rock, it’s going to be leveled to the ground. And much of what we see as ‘church’ in the West today is going to be levelled by the great shaking. Only that which is on the foundation of Christ, and the super-structure Christ, is going to remain.”
o Doug reminds us: “Salvation is a grace gift; but the inheritance – full reward – is earned.”

Eternal Inheritance Session 4
This is the fourth of five messages Doug gave in his interviews with GeorgeAnn Hughes in her podcast, The ByteShow, in 2010.
Here are my notes:
o Doug brings clarity to the passage in Ephesians 1 that is mistakenly used to imply that we as believers are adopted into God’s family. The Chinese translators bring out the better understanding that we ‘attain the name of a son’ – that is, to recover the lost inheritance. Sonship has the implication that once we reach maturity and competence, we are adopted into a new position in the family, entrusted to conduct our Father’s business in using His name and authority.
o Jesus, as man, through His obedience, recovered the inheritance that Adam lost through his disobedience.
o “Our biggest problem in possessing our inheritance is Adam – the old man.”
o We all are in a race. At the judgment seat of Christ it’s possible to find ourselves disqualified and therefore not receiving the prize – the reward of the inheritance we should have been fighting for. That’s the idea of being ‘saved so as through fire’ – having eternal life, but being denied the prize because of said disqualification.
o Do we want to settle for salvation? … or do we want a full salvation, “that which represents the fulness of our inheritance in Christ… is that which encompasses our full inheritance in Christ.”
o Quoting from what Doug heard at the conference (see below), “Our Lord is the Grand Architect of our circumstances; He knows how to arrange our circumstances in such a way to confront and bring out into the light that which still has its source in Adam.”
o What was (and is) the primary reason one did (or does) not attain their inheritance? Answer: idolatry.
o “Anything that represents Christianity that’s not on the ground of Christ is going to be shaken in the end… There’s a great and final shaking coming upon the church, leading up to just prior to the rapture of the church – a final shaking is coming. ‘Judgment must begin at the household of God.’”
o “Part of our inheritance is ruling and reigning with Christ in the Millennium.”
o “He (Jesus) has perfected everything that God expects or requires of you and me.”
o Entering God’s rest is another example of entering into our inheritance in Christ. Jesus Christ is God’s complete and utter satisfaction as to all He intends for man to be. As we discover Christ as our life, we discover more and more our rest in Christ as God’s satisfaction as to what He expects of us, being conformed to His image, and Christ to be fully formed in us. “He answers to all of God’s thought and purpose for man.”
o “The more we enter into the Father’s complacency and satisfaction that He has for Jesus Christ, the more we enter into and take possession of our inheritance in Christ.”
o “God already has His inheritance in Christ. And that inheritance that our Father has in Christ as Son of Man is our inheritance; we’re to be co-sharers with Him… We are co-inheritors, sharing the same body, fellow associates of the promise.”
o “The new covenant was only given to the new man. The old covenant was given to the old man; and the old man can’t keep it. That’s why a new covenant was made, and a new man is provided, so that we can walk in newness of life.”
o “From the point of salvation to the point of entering our rest in Christ, there is this process of dividing asunder of the soul and the spirit. Why? So the spirit can come into a place of ascendency, and the soul can be brought into submission to the human spirit in union with the Holy Spirit, and therefore, when the spirit in union with the Holy Spirit is in that place of ascendency, then the believer has entered into God’s rest.”

Eternal Inheritance Session 3
This is the third of five messages Pastor Doug Riggs gave in his interviews with GeorgeAnn Hughes in her podcast, The ByteShow, in September-October 2010.
Here are my notes:
o “Christ is our inheritance; but Christ fully formed in the saints is God’s inheritance in the saints.”
o “God obtaining the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the us is sandwiched right in between our obtaining our inheritance in Christ.”
o Doug quoted this to us many times over the years what he learned in a theology class: “The decree of God – that is His eternal purpose – is His holy, wise and sovereign purpose comprehending at once – that is, simultaneously and eternally – all things that ever were or will be as to their causes, courses, conditions, and relations, as the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity determines their certain futurition.” In spite of the angels and mankind having the freedom to make choices, it is God who ultimately determines the outcome of those choices.
o “To be set apart – to be conformed to the image of Christ – in every aspect of our being, that is the whole goal of experiential sanctification in this life.”
o The Old Testament gives us the meaning, explanation, interpretation and the understanding of our inheritance in Christ and its significance to us, as well as God’s inheritance in His saints.
o Doug exhorts anyone thinking we should be hunting for Nephilim to do battle with them need to think again. Our battle is not with flesh and blood (including hybrids), and our weapons are not carnal (i.e.: earthly). “We’re dealing with the high-ranking principalities who are opposed to the church attaining the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ and possessing their inheritance in Christ.”
o God is “looking for people in this generation to be a Joshua and Caleb” – the only two from the countless people delivered from Egypt who followed the Lord fully and were able to possess their inheritance, who didn’t fall short and die in the wilderness.
o For those who use translations that say we are a ‘peculiar’ people, the correct term is ‘special treasure’ as possessed by a king – ‘the King’s private treasure’ – we are God’s treasured inheritance. To use ‘peculiar’ in today’s vocabulary is to say we are strange or weird. That’s not the correct understanding.
o God brought Israel out of Egypt so that He might bring them in to the land of the inheritance; God brings us out of the world so that He might bring us into the unsearchable riches in Christ.
o “How many of us are satisfied today as Christians? Are we pressing for the mark of the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus like we see Paul? Paul has the spirit of Joshua and Caleb. Are we in pursuit of Christ like Paul was?”
o “If we’re going to ‘grow up into Christ with reference to all things’, then we have to dispossess principalities and powers – and that is a corporate thing… corporate relatedness.”
o “Consecration, being set apart to God and His purpose, being loyal to Him – consecration, dedication to God is necessary in order to possess one’s inheritance.”
o “We stand into the very righteousness of Christ and take possession of our inheritance by dispossessing the enemy.”
o “As we press in to gain our inheritance in Christ, that is giving God the opportunity to obtain the riches of the glory of His inheritance in us.”

Eternal Inheritance - Session 2
This is the second of five messages Pastor Doug Riggs gave in his interviews with GeorgeAnn Hughes in her podcast, The ByteShow, in September-October 2010.
Here are my notes:
o Doug makes it clear through an array of scriptures that Jesus Christ is God’s firstborn Son, and His heir – and that we, the church, His body and bride, are joint heirs with Christ. However the obtainment of all the rights and privileges of this position in Christ is not automatic, but conditional on sharing in His sufferings.
o Get your pen and paper ready – there once again are ‘zillions’ of scriptures Doug cites to prove the points he makes throughout this session. None of these teachings are Doug’s private interpretation or opinion – he only, for over 40 years – taught the word of God from the original languages and how each scripture was understood by its original reader.
o Satan cannot rob us of our salvation – but he can (and does) rob many of us of our inheritance and reward.
o “The Holy Spirit has been given to each member of the body of Christ so that we can come into full possession of our inheritance in Christ.”
o The possession of the land, i.e.: our inheritance in Christ, is to be the goal of redemption.
o “When a person is born again, if you begin to understand and pursue that which represents God’s eternal purpose, you will become the target of the enemy. If you want to just sit down and settle with salvation and thank God for fire insurance and just go your own way, and not pursue that which represents God’s fulness in Christ and to apprehend that for which you were apprehended in Jesus Christ, then the enemy will pay little attention to you, because you represent any threat of dispossessing him.”
o “If you’re going to possess your inheritance, you have to dispossess, or disinherit, your enemies.”
o “As we (America) reach a saturation of evil, God will assign another nation to take us out. We will not survive as a nation with idolatrous practices, and this has been true throughout history.”
o Of the entire population of the children of Israel who were delivered from Egypt, only TWO made it into the land of the inheritance. This should prove to us that all who respond to the gospel and receive redemption won’t necessarily obtain their full reward and inheritance in Christ.
o What’s an overcomer? One who follows the Lord fully, as Joshua and Caleb.
o “Some people are so in bondage to think, ‘Well, yeah, Jesus Christ died on the cross, He forgives us of our sins, but now we gotta do something to keep ourselves saved!’ That’s slavery! That’s bondage! Plus you miss the whole purpose for which you are redeemed.”

Eternal Inheritance - Session 1
This is the first of five messages Doug gave in his interviews with GeorgeAnn Hughes in her podcast, The ByteShow in September-October 2010.
o Doug explains the clear difference between unmerited salvation and the inheritance that requires obedience, conflict, conquest, warfare that requires dispossessing the enemy. Using the experience of Israel being delivered from Egypt and given the land of their inheritance that required this same conquest: “Salvation is on this side of the Jordan, that is on the east side of the Jordan; the inheritance is on the west side of the Jordan. And they’re not the same thing.”
o The promised land “Canaan does not represent heaven; Canaan represents fulness; it represents entering in to the fulness of one’s inheritance.”
o “Salvation is just the beginning; it just opens the door and positions the believer to begin the process through sanctification of coming into possession of their full inheritance in Christ.”
o Just because when we are saved, born into God’s family, and given the rights and privileges as the firstborn as joint heirs with Christ, doesn’t guarantee we end up there. If we are like Esau, the firstborn of Isaac, who despised these rights and traded them for ‘a mess of pottage’ – we rather have some temporal desire fulfilled to gratify our soulish appetite – we will end up losing those rights of the firstborn. We don’t lose our position as being a member of God’s family – we lose our inheritance, and it goes to another. We lose the opportunity to rule and reign with Christ for eternity – the right of the firstborn.
o “This is not taught in churches; I’ve never heard this taught in churches, and yet it’s clearly in the word of God.” Expositors, when they explain the passages about inheriting eternal life or the inheritance, “They make that equivalent to salvation; in other words, if you’re saved, you have the inheritance. If you have the inheritance, that’s equal to salvation, and nothing can be further from the truth! Salvation brings in the potentiality of the inheritance, but it’s not a guarantee.”
o The understanding of the inheritance and how one obtains it requires us to understand what it means to be the ‘firstborn’ – and as this may seem somewhat technical to those not familiar with it, it may require more than a one-time listen to this important message. Hang in there and persevere! It’ll be worth it. We don’t want to be like Esau who despised his birthright as the firstborn, but we should be like Jacob, wrestling with the Angel all night if necessary, to obtain the blessing.
o “When you lead someone to Christ, they are not a disciple until they are a follower of Christ. And that means discipleship – that means training – that means instructing them.” Not all believers are necessarily disciples, though all disciples of Christ are believers.
o When Jesus was born in Bethlehem, he did not come as ‘the second man’. He became ‘the second man’ at His resurrection.
o “Salvation doesn’t guarantee inheritance; it does not guarantee full reward; it doesn’t guarantee we will reign with Him. It make it possible; it’s the doorway, but it’s not the end game.”
o “By our union with Christ (experiential – not positional), we enter in to that fulness of who He is as firstborn, having that place of preeminence over Israel, over the nations, over angels.”
o In spite of the many who believe the redemption of man is God’s original and ultimate purpose, Doug explains, “Redemption is recovery – to bring man back into alignment with God’s original purpose which originated in eternity past before the creation of the universe, before there ever was a Lucifer who rebelled. That purpose reaches into eternity past.”
o “Our inheritance in Christ – God’s inheritance in us – is interrelated, interconnected, interdependent; it’s not two different things.”
o “Every Christian has a different measure of Christ according to obedience, according to walking out - walking in the light that He’s given us, and living in the light that He lived (1 John 2:4-6), walking as He walked. The more we walk as He walked, as He learned to abide in the Father, and we, therefore, through the Holy Spirit, who holds that secret of the Man Christ Jesus abiding in the Father; He holds the secret, He holds the essence, He holds the meaning of the abiding of the Son of Man into the Father.”
o “God’s eternal purpose is not that we get born again, and we’re just left there; that’s the door, that’s the opening. The new birth brings us to the threshold of God’s eternal purpose. Partaking of the Passover lamb and then settling down in Egypt does not result in one’s inheritance.”
o Doug explains the difference between being born into a family and being a child, and later reaching adult sonship through adoption. None of us were initially adopted into God’s family – we were born again. When we grow up and can be entrusted to carry out our Father’s business, we are then adopted into sonship.

Repentance - Session 7
This is the seventh of seven messages Doug gave in his interviews with GeorgeAnn Hughes in her podcast, The ByteShow recorded November-December 2011.
Here are my notes:
o Doug shares his concern for the church in our day – the end of the church age: “I hesitate to say this, but it would appear that much – and I don’t know if it will be the majority of the church in the West or not – but the way it looks now, that if there’s not repentance of the church in the West, then Jesus Christ is going to vomit out of His mouth that which represents a sleeping, complacent, Laodicean church.”
o “For the Christian, Christ is our ‘Canaan’ (land of the inheritance), and if we’re going to come into the fulness of Christ, there is spiritual warfare”
o “The land spews out its inhabitants, that is, the Canaanites, as a result of the Israelites possessing it.”
o “If you (Christian) practice the idolatry that is indicative of what is taking place with the Canaanites, that land will vomit you out.”
o “If we as Christians don’t take seriously who Christ is as our inheritance, and we begin to pursue any kind of practice or lifestyle that is in conflict with the character and nature of Christ, the warning is: Christ is going to vomit you out. And what does that mean? It’s an inheritance issue.”
o “If we don’t pursue Him as our inheritance, and therefore give Him the right to possess us as His inheritance, then the warning is that there’s going to be a judgment where He spews (believers) out of His mouth. This judgment is a part of the day of visitation. Wherever there has not been a repentance from this lukewarm, complacent Laodicean state in the church, then when the day of visitation comes, there is going to be a vomiting out of His mouth that which represents a people who have rejected Christ as their inheritance, and therefore not given God the right to have us as His inheritance.”
o “We are heirs of God; we stand in line to inherit with the heir, Jesus Christ (Hebrews 1:2)… and as He was perfected through sufferings, then we come into the value of that perfection through sharing those sufferings…”
o “The sin of Laodicea is spiritual pride; self-sufficiency; complacency, which was, by the way, also the sin of Sodom.”
Note: I find this quite amazing, but I’ve been listening to Pastor J.D. Farag teaching systematically through the bible, and he ‘happened’ to teach on Ezekiel 16 – what I listened to today – after he’d been off several weeks – and then I’m listening to this session Doug taught back in 2011 referring to Ezekiel 16 – what a ‘coincidence’? After listening to JD, I was so disappointed he only taught it as a history lesson and did not apply it to how God deals with His covenant people, including the church, and how this so relates to the Laodicean condition we the church are currently primarily characterized by. Teaching this passage should include a dire warning to the church – but is only taught as a historical and interesting account of what Israel went through. We are so blessed to have Doug’s understanding and teaching as his desire is to bring us (individually and corporately) into repentance so we can receive all that God wants for us to have.
o People say, “Well, this will never happen. God would never allow to happen in the United States what happened in China in 1949 when Communism took over! God would never allow that. We are a Christian nation!” – “Oh, really??”
o “It’s in His heart that we be His inheritance; and that He allow Christ to be our inheritance. This (Revelation 3:16) is not the land spewing out its inhabitants. This is Jesus Christ spewing out that which He desires to be His possession as we saw in Deuteronomy 4, which He desires to be His inheritance as we saw in Ephesians 1, but we say, ‘No! We don’t want to be Your inheritance! We don’t want You, Lord Jesus, as our supreme prize and goal, and our inheritance!’ And, so, I’m going to spew you out of My mouth!”
o Christ is not at home in every heart of every believer. “It takes Christ at home in the heart to be filled with the fulness of God. The measure in which He’s at home in our heart is the measure in which we can be filled unto the fulness of God… As Christ if formed in us, and (Galatians 4:19) we cooperate and allow Him to become at home in our hearts, then we are in that place where we can be filled unto all the fulness of God.”
o “Days are coming – and I think they’re very soon upon us – I don’t know what the precipitating factor will be – economic collapse – a possible military invasion – Russian and Chinese troops come and occupy the United States in the midst of chaos – collapse – whatever it is, the church that Jesus Christ is building will endure… Let us pray that we are in that place where He is building His church, so whatever happens in this country, we’re right in the center of His will, so we can be among those who are alive and survive and are caught up to meet the Lord in the air.”

Repentance - Session 6
This is the sixth of seven messages Doug gave in his interviews with GeorgeAnn Hughes in her podcast, The ByteShow recorded November-December 2011.
Here are my notes:
o Repentance = “a change of attitude; a change of mind that is evidenced in a way of life that conforms to God’s revealed standard.”
o Doug goes into the history of a very wicked king of Israel, Manasseh, to demonstrate an extreme case of repentance and how God deals with him at the end of his life.
o Our failures and sins have consequences even though we have God’s forgiveness when we acknowledge them and repent from them.
o “We as a nation are now under judgment, and the judgments have been increasing as we proceed in our rebellion and our indifference towards God.”
o “We were not made for sin. We were made for God; we were made to have a relationship with Him, and we can’t have a relationship with Him if we are involved with that which is detestable in His sight, that is morally and spiritually incongruous, or in conflict with His character.”
o Doug uses the story of David as an illustration of one who committed a heinous crime and yet God forgave him after he confessed and deeply repented of his sin. However, God’s discipline and the consequences of his crime followed him for the rest of his life.
o “Sin is just not worth it!”
o “The fear of the Lord means a reverential awe – we reverence God; we recognize Him as supreme, and that He is the one that we should consider first and foremost.”
o “In spite of all David’s failures – our failures – we get up and we acknowledge our sin, and we bow before Him humbly – take whatever discipline He gives to us as a father; we’re not to despise His discipline, His chastening (Hebrews 12).”
o Doug uses this session to appeal to those of us who have unconfessed sins and unrepented transgressions that are hindering our fellowship with our Lord and with one another. “When we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.”

Repentance - Session 5
This is the fifth of seven messages Pastor Doug Riggs gave in his interviews with GeorgeAnn Hughes in her podcast, The ByteShow recorded November-December 2011.
Here are my notes:
o Doug begins by addressing concerns about the end of 2011 and beginning of 2012 and what was expected to be a shift in the spiritual realm and the convergence and confluence of pagan prophecies, entering into a realm of ‘higher consciousness’ that ultimately will bring about the new world order during the 7-year day of the Lord (tribulation).
o “You can have orthodoxy in terms of correct doctrine without moral correspondence to Christ and His character.” It’s not just sins we need to repent of – but every way in which we are falling short of Christ being fully formed in us, and us being conformed to His nature and character.
o Doug makes it a point to address secret and hidden sins that are hindering our walk and fellowship with the Lord and with our brothers and sisters in Christ. There is no shortage of appeals to repent in the Scriptures, and the point is that to ignore them is to in the end lose full reward and the full inheritance God intended for us. What will happen in the day of visitation to those of us who haven’t repented? See the warnings to Thyatira, Sardis, and Laodicea.
o “Not all believers are overcomers (in the sense in which they are presented in the Book of the Revelation). An overcomer is one who is rewarded for their faithfulness.”
o Doug helps us understand the difference between ‘the Lamb’s book of life’ and ‘the book of life’ by taking us back into the Old Testament to see how the term that is found in Revelation is used and to be understood. To have our name blotted out of the book of life means we die in the wilderness and not allowed to obtain and enjoy the inheritance God meant for us to have. It does not mean we lose eternal life or lose our salvation. It means we lose our inheritance that God meant for us to enjoy for eternity.
o “The book of life is all of God’s provision for a person to go from the Exodus – that is, from the Passover lamb – through the wilderness – into the land of Canaan, to dispossess the enemy and to come into the possession of their inheritance.”
o Doug reminds us that righteousness is “conformity to the revealed will of God in thought, word and deed.”
o “There is a temporal judgment upon those who do not repent of their idolatry.”
o All who receive Jesus Christ as Savior, who are born again, have eternal life promised to them. However, not all who are born again obtain full reward nor a full inheritance. Salvation is a gift received by faith. Our inheritance is obtained by conquest and cooperation with God as He takes us through the sanctification process which includes suffering, conflict, perseverance, obedience, faithfulness, and purity.
o “There will be in the last generation those that are a Philadelphian character, same as we see those that are commended at Thessalonica, in contradistinction to those who died the sin unto death at Corinth, they will go right through to the rapture. They’ll be among those who are alive and survive at the coming of the Lord.”
o Doug corrects those who wrongfully interpret Revelation 3:10 “I also will keep you from the hour of testing…” as a pre-tribulation rapture passage. It is not. “This is a promise to a Philadelphian remnant.” This passage, “that hour which is about to come upon the whole world”, is referring to the day of visitation and not the 7-year day of the Lord (tribulation).
o As we listen to these and many other messages by Doug, he goes through a tremendous number of scriptural references to make his point. He challenges the listener: “When I quote scriptures – when I make statements – I’m giving the word of God, and I’m not through them. It’s up to you who are listening to follow through.” People need to know what Doug has been teaching over 40 years isn’t Doug’s teaching – it’s his faithful and persistent explanation of truth as found in the word of God, and not something he came up with.
o Speaking of the day of visitation, “There will be believers that will not be alive and survive unto the coming of the Lord; their names will be blotted out from that book of life – believers! – they’ll be in heaven, but they’ll be ‘saved so as through fire in contradistinction to what we see in 2 Peter 1, ‘a wide entrance’ into the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ – two extremes: full reward vs. loss of reward and the inheritance.”
o Though the passage in Revelation 3:20 (“Behold I stand at the door and knock…”) is often used in evangelism, He’s talking to the church – Jesus is on the outside of the church knocking, seeking to gain entry and to have fellowship with His body – His bride. How many churches and church services even know if Jesus is in their presence – or if He’s on the outside?

Repentance 04
This is the fourth of seven messages Pastor Doug Riggs gave in his interviews with GeorgeAnn Hughes in her podcast, The ByteShow recorded November-December 2011.
Here are my notes:
o This session picks up the focus of repentance as called for by Jesus Christ to the seven churches in Asia (Revelation 2 & 3) needed at that time as well as the prophetic unfolding for the next 2,000+ years culminating in the day of the Lord and the rapture.
o I have these dates notated in my Bible from when years ago Doug taught on this passage. Though each church is primarily characterized by certain issues that are addressed and occur during the indicated time periods, elements of Thyatira, Sardis and Philadelphia continue to the end of the church age, the last period primarily characterized by Laodicea.
o Doug reminds us that these seven letters are written to Christians – not unbelievers. Christians are called to repentance in these letters.
o When Jesus warns the messenger of the church at Sardis that He will ‘come like a thief’, He’s not referring to the rapture. He’s warning of judgment on the church – the day of visitation – judgment beginning with the household of God – a fiery ordeal the church will soon face if the warning to repent is ignored. It’s time to wake up!
o What is the KEY to understanding the word of God? It’s the mystery revealed to Paul. The revelation of the mystery clears up all confusion and error when it comes to many doctrines – especially eschatology, the study of end times. “When you have that key, the entire word of God fits.”
o As Jesus will come to deliver a surviving remnant at His 2nd Advent, those Jews and believing Gentiles who are alive and survive the holocaust of the 7 year day of the Lord (Tribulation), so Jesus will come to deliver a surviving remnant, Christians who are alive and survive the day of visitation. This is ‘remnant theology’ rarely heard from the pulpits of churches. Jesus delivers remnants – this we find throughout the Bible. “Remnant theology is a core doctrine, and it is completely left out of all pre-tribulation pre-millennial teachers that I know of. And the key to understanding that is understanding the day of visitation.”
o “There’s another visitation coming at the end of the church age… Jesus is going to return to a prepared bride… a bride without spot or wrinkle; which means there’s going to be an elimination process.”
o “Remnant theology is a judgment that is a reduction – sifting – so that only a surviving remnant remains. This is the pattern that will close the church age.”
o “There is a judgment coming on the church that is corporate, and it’s going to sift out everything that is unholy. It’s radical – it’s a radical eschatology, and it’s just as radical an eschatology as we see and apply to the end of the Jewish period – the end of Daniel’s 70th week. Look at Revelation 6 through 18. That’s radical eschatology.”
o “The church will have to pass through her own tribulation prior to Israel and the nations passing through their tribulation.”
o “The church is not in the tribulation period, because it’s going to experience the judgments of God on the church first.”
o “’Knowing the time…’ To know the time means you have to be instructed in the word of God to know why you’re in the last generation.”
o Jesus’ sacrifice “was towards God, to maintain the integrity of God as Man for man. As God, He experienced the effects of sin on mankind because He’s God-Man, and as Man, He experienced the judgment of God on mankind representatively.”
o “We’re not only doctrinally correct, but our walk evidences the testimony of Jesus. That’s the recovery of Sardis.”
o “What’s the armor of light? That means the exterior – the light is the manifestation of the divine nature, the character of Christ seen. That’s the testimony of Jesus. It’s seen – light. The divine nature is in all of us at new birth, but it’s covered by the old man.”
o Ephesians 1 – 3: our position; our standing in Christ; Ephesians 4 – 6:9: bring into manifestation our position through our walk and conduct; Ephesians 6:10 and following: the warfare required for our position and our walk to be realized.”
o “The inheritance is far different than salvation. The inheritance is all that which embodies a full reward – attaining full reward, coming to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ, to being filled unto all the fulness of God… It’s ours in Christ – but it is a fight to get there.”
o “The day of visitation is a two-edged sword. It’s judgment upon that which is Thyatira; upon that which is Sardis; upon that which is Laodicea. And when it comes to that which is Philadelphian in character, it’s exaltation.”
o “The day of the Lord can’t come unless the great apostasy comes first… As we approach the end, we are either going to be in the category of Philadelphia… or Laodicea.”

Repentance - Session 3
This is the third of seven messages Pastor Doug Riggs gave in his interviews with GeorgeAnn Hughes in her podcast, The ByteShow recorded November-December 2011.
Here are my notes:
o This session Doug dives into the call to repentance for the churches in Revelation 2 and 3, those that existed in the time John was given to write these seven letters and to the church throughout the 2,000 years of our history, culminating now in these last days.
o The pathway to apostacy includes “when you begin to reject divine order and allow all kinds of teachings to come in that are contrary to the word of God.”
o Doug has taught us for a long time that the warnings to the churches of Thyatira, Sardis and Laodicea of pending judgment have yet to be fulfilled. These judgments will occur prior to the rapture. Those who say there are no prophecies left to be fulfilled prior to the imminent return of Christ for the church do not consider these prophecies in Revelation 2 and 3. One will do well to go through the series of nine messages Doug gave on the Prerequisites for the Lord’s Return: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtE2EQ9mIvN_Zdr9lQUf15rM3Hj2gWMoq
o “God’s answer to the flesh is not the blood – it’s crucifixion… so what do we do? We crucify the flesh – WE do it! … If we are going to be free from the rule of sin in our body, then we crucify him” (the old Adamic nature). “What’s the option? Slaves to sin.”
o There are those that “refer to sexual sins as an addiction. That’s not an addiction; it’s slavery.”
o Doug goes into great detail in explaining the consequences of allowing sin to enslave us and the need for repentance – daily course-correcting to be sure we are walking as slaves of righteousness and not slaves of sin. This results in our sanctification.
o “Eternal life once received must be developed; eternal life received needs to expand, it needs to grow, it needs to be enlarged. And the only way that can happen is by crucifying the deeds of the flesh.”
o “We are responsible to crucify the deeds of the flesh, to pick up our cross and deny ourselves and follow Him.”
o This “eternal life is not a born-again eternal life; this is a growing eternal life that is a constant gift, but we have to be on the righteousness side – we cannot be on the sin side.”
o “The repentance is: Lord, I repent of that which would make me a slave of sin, and I chose to be a slave of righteousness – a slave to God.”
o “There’s no middle ground. We’re either a slave of sin; or we’re a slave to righteousness, and therefore a slave of God.”

Repentance - Session 2
This is the second of seven messages Pastor Doug Riggs gave in his interviews with GeorgeAnn Hughes in her podcast, The ByteShow recorded November-December 2011.
Here are my notes:
o This installment of messages deals not only with individual believers’ need for repentance from dead works and from sins we commit, but also the church in general.
o Doug addresses how we quench the Holy Spirit by our dead works in the old man,, and how we grieve Him through our disobedience and sins.
o “The measure in which we learn to abide in Jesus and to appropriate His life daily, appropriate His character, His patience, His love, His righteousness, His sanctification, that is the process of being conformed to the image of His Son. The Holy Spirit is there to help us.”
o “In order to repent from dead works, we gradually come to see that anything we do apart from Him is dead works.”
o Doug addresses examples of church discipline which requires repentance on the part of the offenders as well as repentance if the church needs to make adjustments. This requires exercising apostolic authority as given in the word.
o What was Jesus’s last call for believers to repent? It is what will be required for the church to be raptured in these last days.
o “Revelation 2 and 3 – the whole emphasis is repentance; to be a prepared people for the Lord’s return.”
o John the Baptist’s ministry was to prepare Israel for the 1st Advent and make ready the way for the Lord to come; the ministry in these last days of the church is to prepare for the 2nd Advent and to make ready the way for the Lord to return. Both require repentance.
o “When Jesus Christ returns for His church, judgment will have already begun at the household of God. It will have reached a point where only that which is Philadelphia is left.” – These are ‘those who are alive and survive’ (1 Thessalonians 4:15, 17). “There’s going to be a reduction.”
o Doug gives a very helpful understanding on what Jesus meant when He admonished the church at Ephesus that they had left first love. As we are to love Jesus Christ, we also are to love what He loves – the church, His body.
o Loving what Jesus loves – “to endure, to suffer with Christ until Christ is fully formed in His people. You can’t have a corporate love for Christ as just some separate thing without loving the members of His body… and that love is sacrificial, and seeks the other’s highest good and best, even at the expense of his own well-being.”
o “You can have an orthodox fundamental bible church and not necessarily be a light that reveals Christ in your midst… It’s got to be more than just sound doctrine. It’s got to be Christ in evidence in His people corporately as raised from the dead, the testimony of Jesus – the lampstand revealing the innermost character and nature of Christ to the world – and when we gather together. It’s ‘Christ all and in all.’”
o “If Christ is first love, we’re going to love what He loves most, and that is preparing His bride. We cannot just love Christ and make Him our own private object of devotion, unless we’re loving what He loves.”
o Doug’s prayer: “Grant me the grace to repent every day for the rest of my life; teach me how to walk in repentance every day so that it’s not I – but Christ living in me.”

Repentance - Session 1
This is the first of seven messages Pastor Doug Riggs gave in his interviews with GeorgeAnn Hughes in her podcast, The ByteShow recorded November-December 2011.
Here are my notes:
o My first thought as I begin the challenge to edit and condense this 7-part series on repentance: How in the world could anyone teach 7 hours on repentance. Just change your thinking and follow up with a change of your behavior. Isn’t that what repentance is all about? As we proceed (me with editing and you with hearing), I believe we’ll all be in for a surprising and bountiful buffet of spiritual meat and refreshment.
o Doug distinguishes between the preaching of repentance for Israel by John the Baptist in preparing the way for the Messiah to come – First Advent – and the call for repentance for the church in these last days in preparing the way for the Messiah to come for His bride – and subsequently the Second Advent.
o There is the repentance that leads to salvation – and there’s the repentance we need as Christians which moves us forward in our sanctification.
o To those who present the gospel to unbelievers and require that they repent of their sins (plural), Doug corrects this false teaching and points to the fact there is only one sin we need to repent of, and that is the sin of unbelief. Then once we repent and are born-again, we can address sins we need to repent of. If you are presenting the gospel and require your listener that they have to repent of all their sins, how in the world are they going to do that? Do you remember every sin you ever committed??? “I repent of all my sins… I’m sorry for all my sins…” – that doesn’t do anything.
o Repentance is believing and obeying… and you cannot have revival without repentance. To have true faith, there must be repentance; if there’s true repentance, then there’s faith. Turning to God involves repentance and faith.
o “If all that Jesus Christ did was die on the cross for our sins and remove the penalty of sin, that is not enough to qualify for you and me to live with God forever… There must be something positive imparted to us, imputed to us, to qualify us to live with a righteous and holy God forever… He pronounces and declares us righteous – that’s justification.”
o “The devil has access to people who have not repented” … not only unbelievers, but believers.

Christ our Life - Session 4
This is the fourth of four messages Doug gave in his interviews with GeorgeAnn Hughes in her podcast, The ByteShow.
Here are my notes:
o Doug explains the illustration Jesus gave of the grain of wheat that needs to go into the ground and die – and how that applied to Jesus – and how it applies to us.
o One thing I noticed, especially in this fourth interview, is the weakness Doug must have been dealing with, especially in the beginning. But he gets more and more animated as we listen, so full of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, he can hardly hold back his exuberance and enthusiasm as he goes from one end of the Bible to the other, and back and forth countless times, making his point. I think this series was one of the very first he did with GeorgeAnn Hughes, so this was a new outreach opportunity for him to teach. Up to this point it was primarily to our small assembly he taught face-to-face.
o “Unless there’s a death to who we are by nature, who we are by natural birth, then that germ that is within us as divine life, it cannot come to full fruition and fulfill the purpose for which God has redeemed us.”
o Notice Doug doesn’t preach sermons. He was a Bible teacher, not a preacher. These are Bible studies, not homilies and stories to entertain the listeners. He took the stewardship God gave him very seriously for over 40 years. There were few times I can remember coming out from a bible study and thinking, “Wow, wasn’t that a wonderful message.” – however, there were some I still remember that I did come away with as such.
o Doug corrects the error taught that it was Jesus’ physical blood that saves us – Jesus offered Himself – His soul – His Person was the offering for sin. It’s His soul that was made sin. The antitype of the blood is the soul. Jesus’ blood on the cross was the type – Jesus’ soul was the antitype, that which is what the blood points to. Similarly, ‘the lamb of God’ is the type; Jesus as the sacrificial lamb is the antitype, the fulfillment of the type.
o “All three Persons (of the Godhead) are completely interdependent for the self-revelation and the self-realization of each Member, and all three Members make up one Godhead and share the same essence. But for that essence to function in a personal way, there’s a tri-unity, and that tri-unity is an interdependence – a consubstantiality – a co-essentiality.”
o Doug explains the difference between two Greek words, morphē and schema, both translated ‘form’ or ‘appearance’. What has helped me understand the difference: morphē is like a Hersey’s Kiss – what you see on the outside is what is on the inside; schema is like an M&M, what you see on the outside is not representative of what’s on the inside. They’re both candy, but not the same. Think of that when you hear Doug teaching on Philippians 2, Jesus ever existing in the form (morphē) of God (verse 6), taking the form (morphē) of a bondslave, was found in the appearance (schema) as a man (verse 8).
o “The Father is wholly and completely dependent upon the Son for His self-revelation; the Son is wholly and completely dependent upon the Father for His self-realization; and the Holy Spirit is likewise wholly dependent upon the Father and the Son for who He is as the revealer of God in our lives and in our hearts.” (Chaw on that for a spell… - wow!)
o “Every Theophany in the Old Testament is in reality a Christophany, a manifestation of Jesus Christ in His preincarnate form.”
o “How many people have heard this, ‘Family is above all!’ Well Jesus puts a sword right through that. Family is not number one.” As Jesus did not come to bring peace, He came to bring a sword – and that at times it is against family, soul and blood ties and attachments. Loving our family is subservient to loving the Lord our God.
o Doug challenges our willingness to be not only born-again believers in Jesus, but to be His disciples. There’s a cost for that.
o In confronting those who like to listen to cross-less messages by preachers who make you feel good, “If you’re offended – you need to be offended.”
o We need to have a surrendered soul daily to be a disciple of Jesus.
o “If we’re going to know Christ as our life, we have to know how the life of The Disciple, Christ, functions as humanity.”
o How do we gain Christ? We have to lose our soul-life… “so that soul-life through death as a grain of wheat might come out into resurrection life-union with the Lord Jesus Christ.”
