Broadcast begins: 7:00 am EDT (12:00 UTC)
Spacewalk scheduled to begin: 8:30 am EDT (13:30 UTC)
U.S. Spacewalk 83 to install an IROSA (ISS Rollout Solar Array) on the port 4 truss of the International Space Station. Spacewalkers are Francisco Rubio and Josh Cassada. Spacewalk will last about 7 hours.
Postponed from Dec 3. Canceled on Dec 21 due to the threat from a piece of orbital debris which was predicted to pass within 1/4 mi of the ISS. The ISS performed a Debris Avoidance Maneuver with the docked Progress spacecraft's thrusters, to move out of the way of the debris. The astronauts were already suited up and in the airlock, but they came back in and removed their suits. This is happened exactly 1 week after a Russian spacewalk was canceled due to a major Soyuz coolant leak due to a presumed orbital debris or meteoroid strike.

Soyuz coolant leak in 4K [AI upscale]
On 14 Dec 2022, a Russian spacewalk was canceled because the docked Soyuz spacecraft started spraying large amounts of coolant liquid into space. The venting continued for more than 3 hours. Because NASA was already broadcasting in anticipation of the spacewalk, we got to see these views of the leak.
I used AI upscale technology to increase the resolution of the video to 4K (2160p). The original NASA audio was kept.

REPLAY: Soyuz leaking coolant; Russian spacewalk canceled! (15 Dec 2022)
Around 00:45 UTC, shortly before the planned spacewalk, the docked Soyuz spacecraft started leaking/spraying/venting large quantities of droplets into space. This corresponded with an instrument warning about low coolant pressure levels. Roscosmos decided to cancel the planned spacewalk, repressurize the airlock, and bring the cosmonauts back inside the ISS. They are also determining what to do about the Soyuz spacecraft.
