This was the day to finally remove an old utility pole that I have been looking at (and avoiding) for a year now. With a little luck, it will go according to plan.

If you have watched any news lately, or bought groceries, you would have noticed the sharp up-tick in food prices, and perhaps even the beginnings of shortages (for various reasons). I do refer to bird flu as H1N1... it is actually H5N1, looked it up afterwards. Well, this is not a "Self Reliance" video, lots of good ones out there. It is rather an encouragement to do what you can with what you have available to look after a portion of your food needs and in the process offset some of the inflation. In this video, will walk you through at least what we are trying to do here at TNT.

First time using the box blade on the driveway, and WOW, I'm amazed at how simple it was to do a really good job.... very much looking forward to the next time.

The most enjoyable project I have done in a long time... My daughter Madison has another project, this time it is to build a Crescent Moon Cat Bed for Ralphie. We had a ton of fun doing this project together. This time she did all the designing and hard work. We will likely stain and clear coat it in the near future.
