""Take down Makarov at the Hotel Lustig."
— Level description
"Blood Brothers" is the fourteenth mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
This level sees the death of the series main character, John "Soap" MacTavish, as well as the death of supporting character Kamarov, and starts the chain of events that propels Yuri and Captain Price in the final act of the campaign and reveals Yuri and Makarov's backstory from Zakhaev's failed assassination up to the beginning of "No Russian" in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
It also reveals how Imran Zakhaev survived his assassination in "One Shot, One Kill".
The mission starts off with Soap and Yuri on top of a church tower waiting for Makarov's convoy so they can assassinate him. Captain Price and Kamarov are also attempting to ambush Makarov inside the main building. After Soap and Yuri killed the guards on the balcony, Price rappels into the building and finds Kamarov strapped on a seat with C4. However, Makarov, aware about the way which Price and MacMillan attempted to assassinate Zakhaev prepared for them earlier. He spoke on the radio saying, "Captain Price, Hell awaits you" ("Captain Price. Ад ждет тебя") and detonates the explosives strapped to Kamarov, killing him and nearly taking Price with him. After watching Price and Kamarov in the building across the street, Makarov says, "Yuri, my friend. You never should have come here."
When the explosives that were hidden in the building where Soap and Yuri were situated detonate, Soap pushes Yuri out of a window right before the building explodes (Soap manages to jump, but gets caught within the blast radius) and Yuri and Soap fell down onto the ground. Soap is hit by a pile of falling debris which opened his previously patched up stab wound up, causing him to bleed out. Price came to help Yuri and Soap. Price helps Soap and the three ran across the town plaza, but Soap stumbles. Yuri grabs him and resumes escaping from the large enemy force firing at them. Turning a corner, Price spots an enemy helicopter and the three quickly got off the road as Price blows a hole in a nearby building and they escaped inside. Yuri set Soap down next to a skip where Price picks him up and hands Yuri his M4A1. Yuri protects Soap and Price as they moved through a shop, eventually arriving in a small courtyard.
Taking cover behind a statue, Price decides that it is not safe there and the three moved into an office. Emerging out of the office, Yuri engages more hostiles in the street and as the enemy forces started to converge on their position, they ran into a nearby shop. Yuri covers the other two as they ran through a basketball court. As the enemies started to close in on the three, the Czech Resistance fighters emerged from a building behind Yuri. As they fended the hostiles off, Soap is moved inside and placed on a table. Though Price and Yuri desperately attempted to stop Soap's bleeding, their efforts are in vain. Soap tells Price that Makarov knows Yuri and with that, he succumbs to his wounds. After Soap's death, Price takes Soap's dog-tags and field journal, pulled his M1911 out (The same pistol that Price slid to Soap to kill Zakhaev which was given back to Price after he was rescued from the Russian gulag) and lays it on Soap's chest saying, "I'm sorry." A few seconds later, the hostiles attacked the Resistance. Price and Yuri escaped and they reached a door which Price told Yuri to open. When he opens it, a stairway is revealed. Price, furious over his friend's death, punches Yuri down the flight of stairs and holds him at gunpoint, demanding how he knows Makarov which prompts a series of flashbacks."

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011) - #11 Iron Lady [Paris Eiffel Tower Collapse/Retake Paris]

""Escort Volk to the extraction point."
— Level description
Iron Lady is the twelfth mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The mission is a continuation from the previous one, "Bag and Drag", and takes place in Paris, where the player mans the guns of an AC-130, similar to the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare mission "Death From Above". The player toggles between Derek "Frost" Westbrook and the AC-130 Gunner.
The mission begins with Frost with the rest of Metal Team and a captive Volk, waiting for extraction by Raptor 2. However, as a V-22 Osprey (possibly Raptor 2) flies towards the extraction point, it is hit by enemy rocket fire, and spirals out of control. The helicopter hits a large group of cars, and Metal Team are forced to dodge the carnage caused by the crash.
Since their primary landing zone is compromised, an AC-130 with the call sign of "Warhammer" is tasked with escorting them to another extraction point. The AC-130 crew is cleared to use lethal force against any enemy infantry, armor, or air units, however, their rules of engagement do not permit the use of deadly force against the buildings as it is believed that civilians may still be inside. As a large enemy force consisting of infantry, helicopters and tanks starts to travel through a large roundabout, the gunship fires, destroying large amounts of the Russian personnel and assets. As the AC-130 is mopping up, Odin 6, a group of three A-10 Thunderbolt IIs, commences with a bombing run which destroys the remaining Russian armor in a spectacular explosion. Before Metal Team can move up, the gunship sweeps the surrounding streets, clearing out more enemy forces in the vicinity. When the area is clear, Metal Team starts to advance down the street. However as they do, more hostiles appear and Warhammer decimates them. As the Delta squad start to move closer to a junction, enemy infantry engage them from behind, and the gunship again takes them out.
Approaching the fork in the road, hostile armored vehicles and helicopters emerge, and Warhammer has to destroy them. When Metal Team finally reaches the fork in the road, they come under heavy RPG fire from a building in the middle of the fork. After getting clearance from Overlord, Warhammer fires at the building, causing half of it to collapse, which kills all enemies inside. Metal Team takes a left at the fork and heads towards a hotel across the street. Above them, Warhammer is targeted by Russian MiGs, forcing the crew to deploy flares and make sharp turns to avoid enemy missiles. Before the MiGs can make another pass, they are intercepted by American Air Force fighter planes. The friendly fighter planes can not stay for long however. Resuming its task, Warhammer fires on the embassy.
Inside the hotel, Metal Team are pinned down by enemy fire, and Warhammer can't provide fire support due to hostile fire. Sandman, seeing that they're on their own, order Truck and Frost to flank the enemy machine gun pinning them down. Running through the hotel's corridors, they engage a small group of Russians. Eventually they arrive at a balcony with a view over the courtyard. Frost picks up a sniper rifle and kills the machine gunner. When he is eliminated, Metal Team advances into the courtyard, killing hostiles in the embassy. Once they reach the end of the courtyard, a Russian tank appears. Frost throws a smoke marker near the tank, so that Warhammer can destroy it.
As Metal Team wait for Uniform 6-2 to extract them, a large Russian force surrounds the area. As Warhammer starts to clear them out, the Humvees arrive. Russian forces, alerted to the convoy's presence start to converge on it, and Metal Team along with Viktor "Volk" Khristenko board the Humvees. Uniform 6-2 leaves the intersection and barely miss being hit by rockets, fired by Russian MiGs. Sandman orders Grinch to man the .50 cal, mounted on top of the Humvee. Two enemy vehicles start to chase Uniform 6-2 through the French streets. Helicopters join the pursuit, and Warhammer destroys the enemy vehicles. The convoy makes a hard left to avoid more enemy armor. They continue to make sharp turns to dodge the enemy vehicles, which Warhammer destroys. Eventually the convoy drives through an intersection where three hostile tanks are side by side trying to destroy the convoy, but the gunship eliminates them."

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011) - #9 Return To Sender [Find Waraabe/Dust Storm Evac]

""Alright. We've traced the delivery freighter to an outfit in Bosaso, Somalia. It's run by a nasty piece of work named Waraabe."
— MacMillan in the cutscene before "Return To Sender".
Waraabe is a character and the tertiary antagonist in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 seen in "Return To Sender". He was the commander of the African Militia in Somalia.
In the briefing cutscene, Price contacts Baseplate, who is now revealed to be MacMillan, trying to find intel on Makarov. MacMillan sighs, telling Price that they've "put a lot of names on the clock tower this week", and warns him that he's on "everyone's shit-list" and is reluctant to share intel unofficially with him. Price then angrily says to MacMillan that "he still owes him for Pripyat". MacMillan then tells Price that Waraabe, an African warlord in Somalia, should have intel on Makarov. Price discusses their plan to enter the compound with Soap, deciding that a stealthy approach is not an option and asks Soap to tell Nikolai to ready his men.
Yuri is in the backseat of a jeep heading to the enemy compound, with Price and Soap in the driver's and passenger's seats respectively. As soon as they ram through the gates, they come out of their vehicles and cut their way in through the heavy enemy resistance as they are bombarded by mortars and attacked by Technicals. Yuri is given control of Nikolai's chopper's Remote Turret to soften up the resistance.
After a lot of fighting through the compound, they head into Waraabe's office building and meet fierce resistance inside. After the militia are eliminated, they breach inside an office and kill everyone inside except Waraabe. The three intruders put on gas masks and the interrogation begins. Price releases the gas used in the European chemical attacks in the corner of the room and demands an already-frightened Waraabe to tell them Makarov's location in exchange for a gas mask to save his life.
Panicking, Waraabe hastily tells them that his contact was a man named Volk and that he never personally met Makarov. Soap steps on Waraabe's thigh, asking for Volk's location. In pain, Waraabe finally breaks and reveals that Volk can be found in Paris. Price gives Waraabe a gas mask, but seconds later he promptly executes him as he holds the gas mask. Before killing Waraabe, Price exclaimed "This is for the boys at Hereford", referring to the SAS members who were killed in the event of the chemical attacks.
The remaining members of Nikolai's men leave the building and head to their primary exfil point, but Nikolai radios them and alerts them of a rapidly approaching sandstorm. They regroup with the other members and hurry on to the exfil point, but before they can board the chopper, they are ambushed by the militia and are forced to cut their way through to the second LZ. Again, the second exfil is on the roof of a building full of militia, but the 141 and Nikolai's men deal with them. The LZ still being too hot, Yuri uses the remote turret to neutralize any hostile militia. Unfortunately, a rocket shoots down Nikolai's helicopter, sending it hurtling out of control towards Price's group. The trio rappels down the building to avoid getting hit by the out of control helicopter.
Price tells Echo Team to find Nikolai, and to execute an emergency exfil. They make their way through the heavy sandstorm, dealing with Waraabe's men along the way. The group makes it to the crash site, and Yuri carries an injured Nikolai with the others to the emergency exfil, where they finally get out of the village. Soap then asks how they plan to capture Volk while the war rages in Europe. Price replies that while they can't, he knows someone who can."

"Mrs. Davis: "Okay. So, this is day 3, London, and we're off to... Sarah, tell daddy where we're going."
Sarah Davis: "We're going to Big Ben!"
— Mrs. Davis and her daughter
"Davis Family Vacation" is the eighth mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. It takes place right after "Mind the Gap", with no briefing cutscene playing before the mission. It is mainly cinematic, like "Prologue".
Much like "No Russian" in Modern Warfare 2, this mission can be skipped due to its disturbing content. This mission marks the end of Act 1 of the campaign.
Mr. Davis turns on his video camera and films his wife and daughter on the pavement (sidewalk) in London. His wife and his daughter, Sarah, mention their destination for the day, Big Ben. Filled with excitement, Sarah runs toward a flock of pigeons on the corner of the pavement and spins around, laughing.
Suddenly, a box truck stops around the corner and two Russians in gas masks dismount and run away. Shortly after, the truck explodes, killing the family. The truck releases gas as the camera is still recording. This explosion became part of a series of chemical attacks across Europe, triggering the next step of World War III."

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011) - #6 Mind the Gap [London Underground Metro Level]
Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCI57pV1gtvL_tBGVLP6esiA?sub_confirmation=1
""Investigate the security threat in London."
— Level description
"Mind the Gap" is the seventh mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and the penultimate mission of Act 1 (the last if the player decides to skip "Davis Family Vacation"). The player takes control of Marcus Burns, an SAS Commando in London. It involves an SAS team tracking down Inner Circle's classified chemicals.
At a warehouse in Canary Wharf, a group of terrorists load classified cargo into a fleet of moving vans. Unknown to them, a UAV circles the area, performing surveillance as several SAS teams begin to converge on the scene. Marcus Burns, Wallcroft and Griffen jump a fence and sneak into the alleyways behind the warehouse. Along the way, the team catches a few of the terrorists off guard. Marcus is then instructed to kill them without alerting any other hostiles.
After securing the warehouse, all pretense of stealth vanishes and Wallcroft orders the team to engage the terrorists directly. The team exits the warehouse and fights its way to a nearby dock. Vulture Two-Two arrives and assists the player at this point. Once the area is clear Wallcroft orders Burns to open the doors of a van, only to find nothing.
After some more fighting, the surviving terrorists fall back to an underground tube tunnel, where they board and hijack a tube train. Wallcroft, Burns, and Griffen chase after them through the tube on a pair of pickup trucks. Before the train driver can be shot, the SAS commando is shot and killed and the truck crashes into the train, derailing it. The trio dodge the train until their truck flips, killing Griffen.
Some time later, Burns slips in and out of consciousness, seeing the aftermath of the train crash. Wallcroft walks from the flaming wreckage and checks on Burns and finds him in stable condition; the two of them inspect the underground train for survivors. As they reach the Westminster station platform, both come under heavy fire from the surviving terrorists, forcing them to fight their way up to the streets of London just a few feet from the Palace of Westminster itself.
Upon reaching street level and joining up with police and another SAS team, the teams block a road where they open fire on what they think is a terrorist truck containing the chemicals. The truck flips over, but it turns out to be another decoy. Wallcroft tries to get Baseplate on the line in order to find the whereabouts of the other trucks, but gets nothing.
If the player skipped the disturbing content at the beginning of the level, the camera will not cut to Davis Family Vacation, instead the truck will simply explode, killing everyone around it and blowing Burns away.
If the player decided not to skip the disturbing content at the beginning of the level, the camera will then cut to the aforementioned mission, where the Davis family are filming their trip to Big Ben. As the camera rolls, the actual truck containing the chemicals stops, and the two people in the truck, presumably Inner Circle members run away from it. Moments later, the truck explodes, releasing the chemicals and killing the Davis family. The camera is still filming as it happens. Note that this mission has no effect on gameplay and is mainly cinematic."

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011) - #4 Turbulence [Presidents Plane Hijack/Rescue Vorshevsky]
Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCI57pV1gtvL_tBGVLP6esiA?sub_confirmation=1
""Protect the Russian peace delegation en route to Hamburg."
— Level description
"Turbulence" is the fifth mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The player starts off as Andrei Harkov, an FSO agent, on a plane with the Russian President, Boris Vorshevsky, speaking to his daughter about the peace conference in Hamburg.
Harkov, one of the President's bodyguards on his protection detail, enters a room with President Vorshevsky, who sits down with a group of men discussing the peace he wants to create with the west. As President Vorshevsky is arguing with Vasili Zhukov, he is interrupted by muffled gunfire; at this point the plane is attacked by hijackers, in an attempt to capture the President.
The President hits the floor with agents covering him, and the player is tasked with defending him. Three hijackers assault the room, but Pudovkin and Harkov dispatch them in close-quarters combat with their service pistols, the Five Seven. The agents start to move the President to the plane's safe room. They move through the plane's interior, and as they near a staircase which is the scene of a battle between agents and hijackers, the plane stalls, sending it plummeting towards the ground. This puts the inside of the plane in a temporary state of zero gravity in which Harkov and the other agents frequently smash into overhead compartments. During this period of no gravity, the agents are able eliminate the hostiles.
After clearing the room of all the hijackers, the agents move downstairs, and fight their way through the kitchen, the operations room, and the cargo bay to rescue Alena Vorshevsky, the president's daughter. The FSO team start to move the President and his daughter to the safe room, but before they can do so, the plane is forced to make an emergency landing. As hijackers pour in to engage the agents, the plane crashes into the ground. The force of the crash tears the plane in two, and the hijackers are still attempting to kill the agents when the portion of the plane they are in hits an air control tower. Federov falls from the plane, and an engine from the plane hurtles through the air, striking the portion of the plane Harkov is in, knocking him out.
Pudovkin drags Harkov onto his feet, and the two stumble out of the wreckage. After exiting the remains of the plane, the agents search for the now missing President. Moving past wounded agents and hijackers, they approach a hangar. Hijackers in armored vehicles start to fill the area, and the agents are forced to use wreckage and luggage as cover. Once the security team secures the President, a helicopter lands to evacuate the President. After opening the door to the helicopter, Harkov discovers that it belongs to Makarov, who then proceeds to shoot him, as well as Pudovkin, and captures the President. Harkov and Pudovkin fall to the ground, Makarov effectively killing Pudovkin with another shot. While Harkov is lying on the ground, wounded, he can overhear a conversation between Makarov and President Vorshevsky.
Makarov demands the launch codes to secure his dominion over Russia, exclaiming "Russia will take all of Europe, even if it must stand upon a pile of ashes". However, the President refused to give up the launch codes, instead calling Makarov insane. Furious with his stance, Makarov ordered his men to find Alena, stating "Every man has his weakness. Find the girl". As Harkov tries to reach his gun, Makarov, noticing his movement, shoots him a second time, killing him."

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011) - #3 Persona Non Grata [Play as Yuri/MedEvac Soap/Pilot UGV]
Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCI57pV1gtvL_tBGVLP6esiA?sub_confirmation=1
""Evacuate Soap from the mountain safe house."
— Level description
"Persona Non Grata" is the fourth mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The player assumes the role of Yuri. This level is set right after "Endgame". The main objective is to evacuate the wounded Soap to Nikolai's chopper. At first they shoot their way towards a weapon cache where Yuri will be operating a UGV (Unmanned Ground Vehicle) which will be used to clear a path to the helicopter where Yuri is left behind, but eventually gets to the chopper after nearly drowning in a river.
The mission starts with Soap still wounded from the events of Endgame, while Nikolai and a doctor attempt to aid him. During this, Makarov, who is "tying up loose ends", sends his men to attack. Yuri is sent to assist Captain Price, the Russian Loyalists, and other Task Force members in protecting Soap from the Ultranationalists. During the gunfight, the doctor who was aiding Soap is killed, and Yuri rushes to the table next to Soap and gives him a sedative. After injecting Soap, an Ultranationalist soldier breaches the room, but Price disarms him and shoots him in the head. Later on, Soap, needing to be moved, is carried by Nikolai as he follows Price and Yuri. They clear their way out of the building, fighting hostiles until they reach the ground floor. The pair, along with the Loyalists, clear the courtyard of enemies.
Nikolai mentions a weapons cache nearby which contains a UGV (Unmanned Ground Vehicle), which they can use to reach a chopper. Yuri and Price exit the courtyard and head onto a nearby street. Price and Yuri fight alongside the Loyalists as they clear the streets, while some stay to assist wounded civilians. At the end of the street, the two take a sharp left, and come under heavy fire from enemy forces. To reach the UGV, they go through a building on their right.
When the group reaches the weapons cache, Nikolai tells Price the UGV is in a shipping crate under the cache. Price opens the crate which reveals the UGV. Since the device is Russian, Yuri operates the machine and clears the way of enemies with the machine's mounted grenade launcher and minigun for the group to reach the escape helicopter safely. After fighting through several enemy emplacements and having commandeered the helicopter, the UGV is destroyed by an enemy Reaper.
Yuri exits the controls and sprints to the helicopter, while avoiding Predator Missiles being fired by the MQ-9 Reaper. When Yuri is close to reaching the chopper, the Reaper's fire collapses the structure under Yuri, sending him sliding down a hill, avoiding debris sent hurtling to him by more enemy fire, and sent falling into a river. At first, the streams make it difficult for him to escape, but he finally grabs hold of a rock near shore and crawls onto land as his friends find him and bring him to safety."

""Assault the Russian submarine."
— Level description
"Hunter Killer" is the third campaign mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The player takes on the role of Sgt. Derek "Frost" Westbrook, as he and his squad infiltrate a Russian Oscar II-class SSGN and launch the boat's cruise missiles against their own fleet to cripple it. Later, the player and other team members make their escape from the submarine on Zodiac watercraft as the launched missiles begin to bombard the Russian ships in the area, before escaping in a CH-46 Sea Knight.
The level begins with Frost and Sandman together with the rest of Metal Team swimming through the submerged Brooklyn Battery Tunnel and into New York Harbor using Diver Propulsion Vehicles (DPV).
There they rendezvous with "SDV Team 4", a team of SEALs, and continue toward their objective. The depths of the harbor are filled with mines and Frost is instructed to navigate around them using a mine imaging sonar device on the his DPV.
After successfully passing through the minefield, the team then plants explosive charges on the enemy submarine. The charges detonate and the submarine is forced to surface, allowing the team to board. Frost and Sandman enter through the sub's access hatch and fight their way through the submarine and up to the bridge. The two of them breach the bridge, killing all the sailors within and their commanding officer (possibly the captain). From the bridge, Frost and Sandman are able to launch the Russian's missiles against their own fleet.
Frost and Sandman then board a Zodiac watercraft that the SEALs have put in place, and make their escape as the battle for New York Harbor rages around them. They are then extracted by a CH-46 Sea Knight and are flown away from Manhattan."

""Destroy the enemy jamming tower in Manhattan."
— Level description
"Black Tuesday" is the second mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The player takes control of Derek "Frost" Westbrook, a Delta Force operator in New York. The objective of the mission is to destroy a Russian radio/microwave jammer placed on the Stock Exchange. Once the jammer is destroyed, the player will be extracted by a Black Hawk and must duel against Russian helicopters to reach New York Harbor which is the location of the next mission.
The level begins with the player, Sgt. Derek "Frost" Westbrook, and Sandman climbing from the wreckage of an overturned Humvee in Manhattan. They emerge to find themselves, the rest of Metal Team, and a friendly Stryker battalion under attack, by Russian infantry and vehicles. The battalion fights their way up the street, past heavy resistance, and meet up with a convoy of Strykers at the corner of Exchange and Broad Street.
Metal Team and the convoy are then ambushed by a Mi-24 at an enemy roadblock, forcing the team of Deltas to circumnavigate the road block and enter another building. After they clear the shop and alley, they meet with Grizzly and his team. Together they fight towards the Stock Exchange.
As the team reaches the New York Stock Exchange, they fight their way through the trade floor and take a service ladder up to the roof. Using Thermite, Frost destroys the radio jammer on the roof, restoring radio communications to friendly forces, allowing air support to arrive. They then come under attack by enemy forces positioned on some nearby rooftops.
Frost uses guided missiles from a MQ-1 Predator drone to neutralize the enemy troops on the roof, as well as an enemy gunship that arrives to provide support. A Black Hawk then flies in to extract the team, but they are pursued by two Hinds, fighting through the Downtown Manhattan airspace. Frost, operating a Minigun, destroys one gunship. At a nearby construction site, as Frost destroys the last Hind, Delta team's Black Hawk crashes into the scaffolding. The impact causes the Black Hawk to whirl out of control, nearly chucking Frost out of the cabin. The pilot eventually regains control of the helicopter and the team is briefed while proceeding to their next mission in New York Harbor."

""Makarov revealed General Shepherd's special forces HQ at site Hotel Bravo. Find him and kill him."
— Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered level description
"Just Like Old Times" is the seventeenth and penultimate mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered. With most of Task Force 141 eliminated and nearly out of allies that they can trust, Captain Price and Captain MacTavish resolve there is nothing left to do but neutralize General Shepherd. Now labeled war criminals and wanted fugitives, the duo embark on a suicide mission to infiltrate Shadow Company's command base with one goal only: Kill Shepherd.
The mission starts with Nikolai telling Price he'd be ready to pick them up in three hours. Price tells Nikolai not to bother, as this would be a "one-way trip." They are in a sandstorm while the player (playing as John "Soap" MacTavish) and Price are hiding in the sand. The two then proceed toward a ridge, and ambush a group of Shadow Company soldiers. Soap hooks up on a bridge and rappels down with Price. The two take out the two guards below them standing in front of the cave and then head inside.
They later are forced to hide as a patrol of soldiers check out what happened to the group they took out earlier. They sneak past a group of soldiers having a meeting. Price warns Soap of two soldiers with tactical lights coming down the stairs. They kill them and the two continue. Upstairs, Price stabs a soldier before he notices two more are behind him. Soap and Price learn that Shadow Company soldiers are about to breach the door.
The two quickly take out the group as they come pouring in. Price tells Soap to take a Riot Shield for cover and walk along the catwalk while Price takes out the group. They later learn that Shepherd is being evacuated. They take out several groups of soldiers before proceeding to a door that Shadow Company soldiers have locked.
The duo then breach the door and kill all the soldiers behind it. After the room is clear, Shepherd notifies the soldiers in the cave that the site has been breached and that he is going to set off explosives inside the cave to attempt to kill Soap and Price. Price and Soap quickly hack the door controls so that they can get out before the explosions go off.
During their escape, Soap is injured, but quickly recovers. Shepherd then calls in an artillery strike, "danger close," in another desperate attempt to kill the two, but they still manage to survive and the Shadow Company troops ahead of the duo get stunned or killed. Price comments, like Corporal Dunn had earlier in the campaign, that Shepherd doesn't care about danger close. Price and Soap then proceed to the Zodiacs that Shepherd mentioned earlier."

""General Shepherd's troops are battling Makarov's men. Traverse the battlefield to reach Nikolai who'll help you escape."
— Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered level description
"The Enemy of My Enemy" is the sixteenth mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered, during which the player controls Captain John "Soap" MacTavish during the battle between Shadow Company and Inner Circle in the airplane boneyard.
At the Afghanistan boneyard, Soap continues his attempts to contact Ghost and Roach to no avail. Price states that Shepherd is "cleaning" house, and tells him that he is on his way to him.
Shadow Company and Makarov's men are fighting each other in a vicious battle throughout the whole boneyard, with Technicals, Little Birds and BTR-80s being deployed. Soap makes his way through the heat of the battle, avoiding the two warring factions while making his way to the extraction point. Price contacts Nikolai to extract him and Soap with his C-130, which Nikolai agrees to do.
On the way, Price taps into Makarov's channels and tells him that Shepherd is now a "war hero" with a blank check and information with his movements. Price offers to take out Shepherd for Makarov, who grudgingly gives up Shepherd's base of operations, Site Hotel Bravo. Nikolai comments on the hectic battle below, and knowing that it is too dangerous to linger around, threatens to leave the two behind if Soap takes too long. Soap makes his way to Price, who has Rook, a Task Force 141 soldier who survived Shepherd's betrayal, commandeer a jeep to escape in.
A hectic vehicle battle ensues, and in the process, Rook is killed by a stray gunshot by Shadow Company forces. His foot still on the pedal, Soap is forced to steer the jeep into the cargo hold of Nikolai's C-130 and they manage to escape the boneyard."

— Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered level description
"Hammerdown is in effect. I repeat, Hammerdown is in effect. If you are receiving this transmission, you are in a hardened high-value structure. Deploy green flares on the roof of this structure to indicate that you are still combat effective. We will abort our mission on direct visual contact with this counter-sign."
— Cujo 5-1
"Whiskey Hotel" (White House) is the fourteenth mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered. This level is the final mission where James Ramirez is playable, and the final appearance of Ramirez, Sgt. Foley and Cpl. Dunn in the series.
The level continues from "Second Sun". From the bunker, the team emerges onto the South Lawn of the White House and meets up with Col. Marshall.
Marshall explains and shows Foley that despite the EMP blast Price caused, the White House, now fortified by the occupying Ultranationalists, still has power. He deduces that they should be able to contact Central Command from there if they can retake the White House from the Ultranationalists.
Foley leads his squad to the left flank to reach the West Wing. Behind a speaker in the Oval Office, they learn that the "Hammerdown Protocol" is in effect, as the sudden loss in communication with American forces in the capital has prompted Central Command to assume that the city has fallen. Fighting through stiff Ultranationalist resistance, the Rangers barely manage to reach the rooftop and light green flares to signify to American fighters that the White House has been retaken, and they break off upon seeing it.
As the jets fly off, more green flares can be seen across the city, signifying that the US Armed Forces have succeeded and retaken the city. The Rangers discuss about the possibility of invading Russia to exact revenge on them."

""Rally with the surviving troops at Whiskey Hotel."
— Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered level description
"Second Sun" is the thirteenth campaign mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered.
The player starts out where "Of Their Own Accord" left off: Pvt. Ramirez's team has just been shot down by a SAM site and is making a last stand around the crashed helicopter. As Russian forces approach, the search light of an enemy helicopter whites-out the screen. When the screen comes back into focus, the player briefly takes control as Sat1, an unnamed astronaut on a EVA (Extra-vehicular Activity) mission outside the International Space Station (ISS). Mission Control in Houston requests a video feed from Sat1's Helmet Cam. ISS instructs Sat1 to look towards the dark side of the Earth for an unknown missile (the SLBM that Captain Price launched in "Contingency").
Sat1 looks at the unidentified missile that is flying from northwest, which then explodes hundreds of kilometres above Washington D.C., creating a HANE (High Altitude Nuclear Explosion), which generates an EMP (Electro-Magnetic Pulse), removing all power from most of the East Coast and the generated shockwaves destroy the International Space Station and kills Sat1.
Back down in Washington D.C., the squad is almost finished off when Russian forces retreat, and attack helicopters start crashing. The Rangers are initially confused, before Foley states that it is an EMP. They frantically avoid crashing helicopters and exploding vehicles before managing to take shelter inside a building. After the EMP is over, Foley takes point and leads the squad, carefully inspecting each area. The Rangers comment on how quiet the battle-worn streets are and how their sights are disabled.
Foley tells Cpl. Dunn to take point, and the squad soon spots an unknown soldier coming out from a building. Dunn yells "Star", before threatening to shoot them for not responding with the countersign. The soldier reveals himself as Pvt. Vaughan, who admits that he didn't remember the countersign, which Foley tells him is "Texas". Vaughan tells the group that Marshall is leading a strike force at "Whiskey Hotel" and that they should get there, as he continues deeper into the unknown to look for more American soldiers.
The squad enters the building and soon encounter Russian forces, which they promptly take out despite the nearly dark conditions with their accuracy reduced from the lack of sights. After making their way out, they encounter a group of Russians trying to free several of their compatriots trapped inside a BTR-80, who the Rangers kill and leave those trapped in the BTR. They soon encounter another group; Foley calls out "Star", and gets no response, so he throws a flare, startling the patrol and the Rangers promptly take them out.
They enter the Eisenhower Building and find the President's bunker, which Foley states is legitimate. Dunn opens the door and it reveals a desecrated area, and he hopes that everyone inside managed to get out in time as the screen fades to black."

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) - #12 Contingency [Capture Nuclear Missile Submarine]
Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCI57pV1gtvL_tBGVLP6esiA?sub_confirmation=1
""Captain Price has a plan to stop the war. Help him reach the Russian submarine."
— Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered level description
"Contingency" is the twelfth mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered. This mission marks the beginning of Act 3, the final act in the campaign.
After Captain Price is rescued from the Russian gulag, he carries out a plan to end the war in the United States. Task Force 141 must secure a route to a docked submarine at the Rybachiy naval base, which is near Petropavlovsk, Russia. Price finds Roach, and the two sneak past Ultranationalist patrols. Eventually, they run into a BTR-80, but manage to avoid it by running into a nearby forest. From there, they avoid more patrols and make their way to the nearby snow-covered town and regroup with the rest of the force, where they encounter more Ultranationalists.
The task force soon strikes the naval base. Intense fighting occurs, and the force races to the submarine before it submerged, which would dash Price's plan to stop the war in the United States.
Price heads to the submarine, while Roach and Ghost defend the area from approaching enemies. Ghost, unaware of Price's plans of what he would do with the submarine, warns Price that the sub's missile silo doors are opening (fearing a nuclear missile might be fired from the sub), but he is shocked to learn that this was Price's plan all along. Price launches an SLBM into the upper atmosphere where it detonates, creating an EMP which disables electronic devices all across the eastern United States.
The EMP succeeds in pacifying some of the most intense fighting around Washington D.C and ensures the survival of Sergeant Foley and his men from the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment in Washington D.C. The shock wave from the EMP also destroys the International Space Station."

"The U.S. Army is losing ground in Washington DC. Hold off the invaders to help troop evacuation around the WWII Memorial."
— Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered level description
"Of Their Own Accord" is the eleventh campaign mission in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered. It is the final mission in Act 2.
Elements of the US Army, including the 75th Ranger Regiment are recuperating in an evacuation center, which is beneath the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C. Unfortunately, the site has come under attack by Russian forces that are advancing into Washington, D.C. and the site itself must be evacuated by the helicopter group Reaper Two. The Russians have captured many buildings in the capital, as well as set up SAM sites and pillboxes with caches of captured anti-vehicle weapons in the northern half of the city. After retaking the Department of Commerce building, Ramirez and the rest of Foley's squad halt the Russian advance on the Washington Monument by utilizing re-captured Javelins. Despite their efforts, the squad is overrun and forced to evacuate via a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter. Manning the minigun, Ramirez is able to buy the evacuating forces some time, but the helicopter takes numerous hits from SAM missiles and crashes back into the ground.
Ramirez wakes up in the crashed helicopter to see the Rangers outgunned and outnumbered. Pvt. Wade hands Ramirez an M4A1 with a Holographic Sight and an M203 with one full mag but gets shot and killed. Making a desperate last stand, the team are about to be overrun by Russian troops as a searchlight passes over Ramirez, blinding him, and marking the end of the mission."
