POV Street Photography: FUJIFILM X-S10 JEPGs ONLY!
Small town street photography with the Fujifilm X-S10 using only JPEG film simulation recipes from Ritchie Roesch of Fujifilm X Weekly https://fujixweekly.com/
POV video using the Fujifilm X-S10, 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS Lens with JPEG only film simulations SOOC (Straight Out Of Camera). Every photo I took (with exception of the ones at the drawbridge showing the X-S10 write speed) is presented. Mistakes and clunkers have not been eliminated. This is a good glimpse as to how I compose and shoot single frames rather than burst style. It's a holdover from being originally schooled in medium and large formats.
Utilizing the capabilities of the X-Trans IV sensor, I used three recipies:
- Vintage Color: https://fujixweekly.com/2022/01/27/fujifilm-x100v-x-trans-iv-film-simulation-recipe-vintage-color/
- LomoChrome Metropolis: https://fujixweekly.com/2021/04/11/fujifilm-x-trans-iv-film-simulation-recipe-lomochrome-metropolis/
- Kodak T-Max 400: https://fujixweekly.com/2020/08/31/fujifilm-x100v-film-simulation-recipe-kodak-t-max-400/
I found the Kodak T-Max 400 to be my favorite. It has a subtle warmth, rich shadows, and a beautiful grain structure. I also enjoyed the LomoChrome Metropolis and how it worked well with this blustery and cloudy late summer day.

How to remove background noise from video - AMAZING!
Descript's AI was able to totally remove unwanted background audio for a video I recently made. I was stunned how well it worked. Removing room reverb was not as good, but @Descriptworked better than almost any plug-in I tried in DaVinci Resolve.

Rollei 35 Classic Film Photography Camera, Classic Cars and New Classic Film!
Mustangs, Cougars, and snails, OH MY!
I load a roll of New Classic 400 film, packaged and marketed by fellow YouTuber, @Ribsy into a Rollei 35 camera and pedal my bicycle to a classic car show. It was a trifecta! Classic cars photographed with this classic camera using New Classic film!
I ordered the New Classic film and the FPP-110 developer from@FilmPhotographyProject and developed it in my kitchen sink.
I also came across a Ryno Motors one wheeled electric motorcycle! I believe only a half dozen of these amazing electric vehicles were made. @Christopher Hoffmann
My sincere apologies to Ribsy for mispronouncing his name in the early parts of the video. My verbal dyslexia strikes again!

Developing 67 year old VERICHROME PAN FILM!
I found a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye with a partially exposed roll of Kodak Verichrome Pan film at an estate sale! What old images might be on the film? Can this film even be developed?
I travelled to a local outdoor diner to finish the roll by photographing some classid camper trailers, a Volkswagon van, and a Rambler.
I developed the film in FPP-110 developer (same as Kodak HC-110) to help minimize base fog and maximize contrast. Watch the video to see what developed.

FILM Swap with The Old Camera Guy! - Kodak Portra 160
It's my first ever film swap, and I crossed state lines to do it! I collaborated with The Old Camera Guy in Ohio (https://www.youtube.com/c/theoldcameraguy) for this fun film swap where we run the same roll of film through our Olympus cameras! The resulting double exposures are totally random and have lots of happy accidents!
This was originally planned as "A Tale of Two Cities," as we each live near a town named Marysville. We agreed to shoot all the photos in our respective state's Marysville and see what random creativity would ensue with these double exposures.
If you're here from Dave's channel, Welcome! If you haven't seen Dave's video yet, stop wasting time and click HERE: https://youtu.be/g_vhr7J3tzw

Photography: Where I came from and where this Channel is going.
After nearly two years of producing content for YouTube, I thought it was time to share my background in photography, and life. The analog man in our digital world.
This video details my initial spark of photography, how that spark grew into a warming blaze, how that blaze grew brighter until it was nearly extinguished by burnout. The unlikely coincidences that rekindled the flame, and how I ended up here on YouTube.
Thanks for joining me in this journey down memory lane. I'm glad there were still some torches of memorabilia to light this path.

Wide Angle SEASCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY - AMAZING Sunset
Sunset SEASCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY at the pilings along Naples Beach in Naples Florida. In this TRAVEL VLOG, Michelle and I travel to Florida to join with Paul Cook of PC3 Photos: https://www.youtube.com/c/pc3photos, to photograph a beautiful sunset in Naples Florida. Focusing on the beautiful pilings and the unique currents they generate, we captured some beautiful images. All photographs were taken with the super ultra WIDE LAOWA 9mm f2.8 on the Fujifilm X-E3 APSC camera.
I used long exposure to smooth the water and streak the clouds. I also learned a shorter exposure technique from Paul to show the movement in the water.
All raw (RAF) images were developed in Capture One 22. Some were further edited in Affinity Photo with the NIK plugin set.
While this was the FIRST TIME Paul and I met in person, we had collaborated on lighthouse photography in the past. Those videos can be seen here:

Night Photography with Washi F Film & Olympus OM-1
Photographing with this unique fluorographic black & white film originally used for lung x-rays in Eastern Europe. Washi Film "F" is a special X-ray film used for mass lung disease diagnose. Being coated without anti-halation layer, this unique film offers a high diffusion effect and beautiful grain.
Film Noir seemed like the perfect vehicle to showcase this film and how night images from Washi F are pure magic.
All the still images were taken on the same night with the Olympus OM-1 35mm film camera. All were taken handheld with a 1/15 shutter speed, aperture varied from f1.8 to f2.8. The film was developed in FPP-110 developer for 8 minutes with 10 sec agitation every two minutes. The slower agitation schedule was to help preserve detail in the highlights.
Washi (the world's smallest film company) distributes unusual film emulsions that capture the world in a unique way. For more information, visit them at: http://filmwashi.com/en/

REDSCALE Photography: A STRANGER Thing
Trying some "Stranger Things" this Film February, I Redscale a roll of Kodak Portra 160. Redscaling is where the film is reversed, or turned upside down, and exposed on the film base rather than the film emulsion.
This gives the resulting images an odd color shift toward red and orange.

How to use a LIGHT METER and the myLightMeter Pro App
A review and walkthrough of the myLightMeter app by David Quiles, available for iPhone and Android. This app is great for film photography, and anyone wanting to better understand photography film exposure and how light meters work.
I also demonstrate how to use the app as both a reflective and as an incident light meter. Plus explanation of 18% reflectance gray and how to use a gray card to meter.

STREET PHOTOGRAPHY - Mamiya C220 medium format FILM camera and Washi F 120 film
Riding the Amtrak Blue Water train from Port Huron to Michigan State University in East Lansing to do medium format film street photography. Using Washi F film and Kodak Plus-X Pan 120 film in the Mamiya C220 Professional, I photographed graffiti, statues, people, street scenes, and the classic moving bicycles.
I took a Brompton folding bike with me to navigate the MSU campus and area.
*Thanks, Gary for letting me borrow your Brompton!*

DIY Negative Film Scanner! How to use a digital camera to copy negatives
Showing and demonstrating my homemade DIY film negative "scanner" for copying negatives. I've been copying my film negatives with a plywood box I made to hold the negatives and then using my mirrorless camera and Mieke extension tubes to copy. Whilst not as good as a dedicated film scanner, this method works surprisingly well.
