AE News Update: 9/11 families and AE911Truth file amended complaint in NIST lawsuit
AE911Truth and our co-plaintiffs filed an amended complaint yesterday in our ongoing lawsuit against NIST over its response to the “request for correction” we submitted in 2020 aiming to compel the agency to overhaul its final report on the destruction of World Trade Center Building 7.
We have amended the original complaint, filed in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia on September 7, 2021, in order to strengthen it against challenges NIST made in its motion to dismiss, which was filed on December 23, 2021.
The amended complaint includes three new declarations (i.e., affidavits) — one from AE911Truth CEO Roland Angle, one from 9/11 family member Bob McIlvaine, and one from structural engineer Ronald Brookman — intended to help establish that all three categories of plaintiffs have legal standing to bring the case.
NIST will now have the opportunity to revise its motion to dismiss by early March. We will then have until roughly the end of March to file our opposition. If we defeat the motion to dismiss, NIST will then have to defend the substance of its decision on the request for correction in federal court.
You can also read the complaint, the declarations, and all documents related to the request for correction at https://www.ae911truth.org/news/813-9-11-families-and-ae911truth-file-amended-complaint-in-nist-lawsuit.

AE News Update: Coroner will not oppose new inquest for 9/11 victim Geoff Campbell
In a move that is being welcomed by the family of 9/11 victim Geoff Campbell and their barrister Nick Stanage, the West London Coroner’s Court notified the family in a letter last Thursday that it would be making no objection to the family’s pending application for a new inquest into their son’s murder 20 years ago. In addition, wrote Acting Senior Coroner Lydia Brown, the court would not oppose the Campbells’ application at any future hearing in the High Court.
The neutrality of the West London Coroner’s Court — which conducted the first inquest into Geoff Campbell’s murder in 2013 and could have argued for the family’s recent application to be denied — removes a potential obstacle to having the new inquest opened.
The family’s application, submitted on August 26, 2021, is currently under review by UK Attorney General Suella Braverman, whose authority must be obtained in order for the family to apply to the High Court for an order granting the new inquest. Historically, the High Court has always granted applications that the attorney general has authorized to come before it.
The Campbell family believes its application easily satisfies the test for a new inquest to be opened based on two separate grounds: first, that there is significant additional evidence that was not considered at the first inquest; and, second, that the coroner at the first inquest did not conduct a sufficient inquiry, having concluded that the North Tower’s destruction was due to the airplane impact without considering any evidence as to the cause.

Activist Ian Henshall on pushing for 9/11 Truth in the UK
This week on 9/11 Free Fall, British journalist and activist Ian Henshall joins Andy Steele to talk about his work on behalf of the 9/11 Truth Movement in the UK, which he launched shortly after 9/11, and about his support for the efforts of fellow Brit Matt Campbell to open a new inquest into the murder of Matt’s brother Geoff on 9/11.
Please note that there was a technical issue with Andy’s earphones that prevented him from hearing Ian at times, occasionally causing him to talk over Ian. This issue will be resolved before the next episode.

‘I do it for Frank’: Bill Brinnier on appearing in ‘The Unspeakable’ and ‘NYC Epicenters’
This week on 9/11 Free Fall, New York architect Bill Brinnier, who lost his best friend Frank De Martini on 9/11, sits down with Andy Steele to talk about his new role on AE911Truth’s board of directors and his recent appearances in Dylan Avery’s The Unspeakable and Spike Lee’s NYC Epicenters. Although Bill was to appear in the 30-minute section of NYC Epicenters that was ultimately censored, he was also featured earlier in the series — where his comment that the North Tower was “demolished” still aired. Andy plays clips from both films, and Bill reflects on an eventful year for his own pursuit of truth on behalf of Frank.

9/11: An Architect's Guide - Part 3: The Twin Towers and Extreme Heat (7-15-21 Webinar - R Gage)
9/11: An Architect’s Guide | Part 3: The Twin Towers and Extreme Heat
Course Number: AE911-AAG-L3
Live three-part webinar series. Each part is about 1 1/2 hours long.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to conducting research and providing education about the complete destruction of the three World Trade Center skyscrapers, our courses give architects the technical knowledge and analytical framework with which to evaluate the most likely cause of those building failures.
Course Description:
Never before has a steel-framed high-rise collapsed from fire. Why, then, did three such buildings collapse on September 11, 2001?
In Part 3 of “9/11: An Architect’s Guide,” Richard Gage, AIA, provides an overview of the most important evidence related to the extreme heat observed both before and after the Twin Towers’ destruction.
As documented extensively in the report issued by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), molten metal was seen pouring out of the South Tower during the seven minutes leading up to its collapse. Molten metal was also observed in the debris of both buildings, while various other evidence of extreme heat and incendiary chemical reactions have been documented since.
In 2005, NIST concluded that the Twin Towers’ destruction resulted from the combined effects of the airplane impact damage and ensuing fires, both of which are phenomena that fail to account for the extreme heat observed before and after the Twin Towers’ destruction.
Does NIST’s explanation for these unprecedented structural failures explain all of the evidence? Together, we will study the collapses and evaluate which of the two leading hypotheses — fire-induced failure or controlled demolition — is more consistent with the evidence. Participants will be encouraged to decide for themselves if a new investigation is warranted.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will be able to:
1. Describe the characteristics of building fires and the aspects of high-rise design that contribute to make fire-induced failure in steel-framed high-rise buildings a rare occurrence.
2. Recognize the distinct features associated with fire-induced failure and the distinct features associated with the procedure of controlled demolition.
3. Describe step-by-step the series of structural failures that the National Institute of Standards and Technology found to be the most likely cause of the collapse of World Trade Center Twin Towers.
4. Analyze the physical evidence and the dynamics of the collapse of the Twin Towers according to how consistent it is with the competing hypotheses of fire-induced failure and controlled demolition.

9/11: An Architect's Guide | Part 1: World Trade Center 7 (6/17/21 webinar - R Gage)
Live three-part webinar series. Each part is about 1 1/2 hours long
Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth is 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to conducting research and providing education about the complete destruction of the three World Trade Center skyscrapers, our courses provide the technical knowledge and analytical framework with which to evaluate the most likely cause of those building failures.
Course Description:
In Part 1 of “9/11: An Architect’s Guide,” Richard Gage, AIA, provides an overview of the most important evidence regarding the destruction of World Trade Center Building 7 (WTC 7), a 47-story high-rise that was not struck by an airplane.
The damage WTC 7 suffered from the collapse of the North Tower was found to be inconsequential. It had fires that were similar to those that have occurred previously in high-rise buildings. Yet it fell symmetrically into its own footprint in the manner of a typical controlled demolition.
In 2008, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) concluded that WTC 7’s destruction was caused by normal office fires that burned “at temperatures hundreds of degrees below those typically considered in design practice for establishing structural fire resistance ratings.”
Is NIST’s explanation for this unprecedented structural failure valid? Decide for yourself after watching this informative one-hour presentation. Using the information presented, you will be able to evaluate which of the two hypotheses — fire-induced failure or controlled demolition — is more consistent with the evidence.
Learning Objectives:
