Palmetto Families Matter Palmetto Family Council Recently, Amy Hill of Sandy Run News (Member, The Overton Group) was able to catch up with Mitch Prosser and find out what he has been working on through the Palmetto Family Council. Mitch described Palmetto Family’s existence as the cultural guardrail for South Carolina that functions to ensure that God is honored, religious freedom flourishes, families thrive and life is cherished. Palmetto Family is all about bringing Christian conservatives together to focus on the things that we can do here in South Carolina to make this state a great place to live, work, and raise a family. Mitch travels across the state for Palmetto Family sharing with people that the organization is comprised of unapologetic Christian conservatives reflective of the larger population’s values. Mitch explained that faith and freedom are worth defending so Palmetto Family advocates are at the Statehouse during the session making sure that representatives deliver on their promises to their constituents. Palmetto Family is working towards a concerted front to show the rest of our state that our faith and freedoms need to be guarded, protected and defended. At the Governor’s request, the organization recently put together a taskforce of religious and ministry leaders across the state raising awareness for the adoptive and foster care crisis. South Carolina has over 4,000 kids in the foster care system. Out of that 4,000, more than 58% have been in foster care for more than two years. Arthur has decided to run for Congress, House District 7, in the upcoming general election, a seat currently held by Tom Rice. Barbara Arthur was born in communist Cuba. In 1969, she and half of her family came to the US on President Lyndon Johnson’s Freedom Flights. She is married to former State Representative, Warren Arthur, and they will celebrate 24 years of marriage this August. They have a blended family of eight children and seven grandchildren. Recently, arguably the best gymnast in the history of the world, felt the sting of equity when her routines were scored far lower than they deserved, in an effort to make the other gymnasts feel included, even though her skills far surpassed theirs. Then, last week, during a team competition, it seems the realization that she would never be fairly judged in the name of equity, finalll caught up with her. She dropped out of the team competition mysteriously, and we later learned it was to deal with her "mental wellness" and was not, as first reported, due to an injury. What do you think happened? Well, here's what I think. And I believe the evidence is pretty clear. Fulfilling the absurd agenda of equal outcomes punishes the best of the best, and stifles progress; regardless of whether it is in the Olympics or the Marketplace of Ideas, or the day jobs of hundreds of millions of Americans.

They had a great discussion on the Pushback Agenda and how bills pass through the state legislature. The Pushback Agenda is a group of proposed conservative bills that Representative Taylor and other legislators authored or sponsored. He carefully screened bills that would specifically address overreach of state and federal government. Citizens and legislators can advocate and track the progress together in partnership. On Saturday, May 15th, delegates from all over the state of South Carolina will be voting for the new state Chairman of the South Carolina GOP. This position is one that lasts 2 years, and the winner will be the de facto head of the Republican Party in the entire state. We sat down with Michael LaPierre, one of the 4 candidates in what has become a very highly visible party election. Famed attorney Lin Wood is one of his opponents in this race, which has brought much media attention to what is usually a fairly quiet, almost unnoticed event relative to what we have recently seen! Our goal has always been to allow conservative voices to be heard unfettered when it comes to interviews, even when those conservative voices are in disagreement with one another. That's right, Principal of Beechwood Middle School PTO Gloria Jenkinson, along with a couple of officers refused to allow a student in, using false excuses. They refused to allow her in to PUBLIC school to learn. Not because she wasn't wearing a mask...but because the principle deemed the mask to not be the right kind. The masks which schools are suggesting (not required) must cover a student's face and nose...as this mask did. At this point it is becoming quite obvious this is about control and blind allegiance to authority rather than any of the absurd claims of "safety" and "precaution" to anyone willing to look. Shout out to Mrs. Berquist and her family for having the courage to not back down to these arbitrary, ever-changing rules! Keep on standing!

You HAVE to watch this...these are the people teaching your kids. This is stunning. This woman gets pulled over for using her cell phone, starts screaming at the hispanic officer that is writing the ticket...calling him a murderer, accuses him of threatening to murder her and her son, and then starts hurling racial slurs at the man!!! And get this...she is a TEACHER!! The indoctrinated and over emotional, with a job indoctrinating children. Great. What is she teaching those kids, I wonder...?

A "collective" of Antifa activists have now released a sophomoric propaganda video threatening death to Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler. The best part is when they call for abolition of the concept of mayors...so they can somehow become a collective, and choose other people to be in charge of running the city (like...a mayor...but...different, cuz communism). Now it turns out, that the person responsible is a member of lefty media...who would've guessed?!
