Paul’s next argument for justification by faith (not by works of law) I could be labeled “common sense.” That which comes later does not unto that which was before. But, it begs the question, “what is the purpose of the law?” I can hear him say, “I’m glad you asked!”

This segment introduces the 4th argument against justification by way of works of the law: the law itself.

Paul introduces 2 more arguments why it is ridiculous for the people in the region of Galatia to think that they needed to do some deed (conversion via circumcision) to be justified by Yah. One of the arguments is their own personal experience with Yah.

With a solid understanding of the Rest of the Gospel, The Jerusalem Council decision (Acts 15), and Paul’s demonstration (Acts 21), we are ready to tackle the letter to the believers in Galatia. One key to understanding, read what he says rather than reading into what he says.

The Apostle Paul’s letters are difficult to understand if you are untaught or unstable. Despite a great proliferation of teachers available to day, many followers of Yeshua are untaught and unstable as it relates to Yah’s Torah. This is so despite multiple specific testimonies in Acts to the contrary, including a public demonstration by Paul himself. In this series we aim to clear up some of the confusion.

In this final segment we see the beginning of the fulfillment of the promise that all the families of the earth are blessed in Avraham. But, it comes with some controversy.

Not only did Yeshua proclaim the good news of the kingdom, he taught his disciples the same message. Of note, though, he initially had his disciples refrain from going to the nations, but sent the only to “the lost sheep of the house of Isra’el.” Well, now we know why.

Can dry bones live? Not only can they, they must. And, it turns out that Yeshua’s death, burial and resurrection are the means by which that can become a reality. This, my friends, is the rest of the gospel!

I became emotionally overwhelmed recording this segment. The good news, is soooo good, especially when you discover what is involved in all the families of the earth being blessed.

The life of the prophet Hosea illustrates the consequences of the Northern Kingdom’s (Isra’el) sin, and provides the hope of restoration.

The consequences for the Northern Kingdom (Isra’el) are severe. This is not merely because of idolatry, but they effectively set Yah aside.

The fulfillment of the last promise — the main promise — is preceded with a major glitch; a major sin by the Northern Kingdom. Who or what is the Northern Kingdom?

Under the reign of King Solomon, we see a confirmation that all the promises made to Avraham (Avram at the time) were fulfilled except one. To this point we have yet to see how all the families of the earth are blessed through Avraham. But, the table is now set. All the pieces are in place. The series of events leading to the fulfillment of that last promise are about to get underway.

Several of the promises made to Avraham were fulfilled under the leadership of Joshua. But, what about the main promise: In you shall all the families of the earth be blessed?

The last key references to the covenant and the patriarchs found in Torah. The help complete the ground work for what we soon fully understand as the rest of the gospel.

One Prophesy and one Principle that are key to appreciating the rest of the gospel

Failure to keep the covenant has high consequences. However, the covenant shall stand. Yah will not break covenant with us.

After delivering them from bondage in Egypt, Yah proposes and covenant relationship with the descendants of Isra’el (Ya’akov). They accept and agree to do all that Yah says. Amazingly, the first thing he has to say is not an instruction but expresses a key bit of information, who he is and how he shall be known.

Moshe’s first encounter with Pharaoh didn’t go smoothly. In fact it made matters worse, prompting Moshe to question if Yah really was going to do what he said. As when Avram had such questions, Yah reaffirms his covenant. In doing so we discover 3 key things that serve as a pattern throughout the rest of scripture and the rest of our journey tracing the promise.

How will the covenant people get from bondage to the promised land? It starts with one of Avraham’s descendants: Moshe (Moses).

The family arrived in Egypt to a hero’s welcome. But, there came a king who knew not Joseph. This setup the exact scenario Yah foretold when the covenant was first established.

Yah sends Ya’akov/Israel to Mitzra’im (Egypt), which we will soon discover is the land in which AVraham’s descendants will be held captive.
