Mustang Squadron Conducts Joint Decontamination Exercise
August 24, 2022 - The 83rd Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Battalion joined forces with the "Mustang Squadron," 6th Squadron, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division to conduct a joint decontamination exercise for vehicles and Soldiers at Fort Stewart, Georgia. Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear skills, such as decontamination, exist to enable movement and maneuver to conduct large-scale ground combat operations in a CBRN environment.

Each team of four soldiers must work together to engage multiple targets quickly and effectively, with limited ammunition and as quickly as possible.

MEDEVAC Training
September 17, 2022 - 4-5 Air Defense Artillery completed their Mission Readiness Exercise. This exercise was the final and culminating event before their deployment. During their training exercise, they had a several day Medical Evacuation, or MEDEVAC, lane. Soldiers took care of casualties, and they escorted them to helicopters. The helicopters were from the 166th Aviation Brigade, which falls under First Army Division West.
