In 2020 the US Army decided to get rid of the shark attack in army basic training and OSUT and replace it with the first 100 yards. Many have said its easier compared to the shark attack. Soldiers in the Army will do NBC or CBRN training with the gas mask. Other training events with the mask can be common outside of chemical training to in the Army.
