This Acura came through the shop needing a thorough inside & out detail. Not really a disaster detail, but the exterior was getting close to that of a really nasty one. The wheels were an awesome Before & after though. When it made its way into the shop to get started, it didn't look like anything more than just a purple car. After getting the nasty wheels cleaned up, paint washed & prepped, decontaminated and taped up, it was starting to show some real potential. Sure enough, as soon as we started compounding the car with a Microfiber Cutting pad + Menzerna Power Gloss, I immediately saw the paint start to come to life! It was heavily swirled up and damaged though, so it was a long haul to get to the refining/polishing stage. BUT once we got there, the yellow Rupes pad + Menzerna Intensive Polish is what really made this paint look INSANE... Lol, I also forgot to explain why the camera's auto white balance was messy. It's because as we started to revive the color of the paint, the camera also picked up on that and tried to adjust accordingly. Pretty neat! The Plum Crazy Purple is a wild color, truly. Once we coated it with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light + Evo X4, it was awe-inspiring. I mostly specialize in rare paint codes, rarer cars, unique, etc, and this one did not disappoint. It was just as enjoyable if not, more enjoyable than any Paint to Sample car, rare, etc. Even BETTER once we cleaned all of the interior surfaces, leather, etc. Just so nice... SUMMARY & PERSONAL THOUGHTS A 2018 Subaru BRZ tS, I believe with the Ceramic White Pearl, it's 1/250? I could be wrong, but either way, this color is WILD. At first, when it was delivered, I thought "Man, this will clean up really nice, but ehhh. It's just another white car." Oh but was I wrong... When it was dirty, unpolished, unprotected, this thing was dull. As we finished up the wash process, I started to notice that this was actually a really nice looking car, and not just another white vehicle. BUT then I did the first few passes with the polisher and WOW, it came to LIFE. Literally, once I polished away the swirls, scratches, blemishes, the paint just came to life. The PEARL, the gloss, the flake in the paint, it was so crazy. Not to mention after we did the last stage of the correction, it just blew up even more. Every step of the Correction & Coating process, the car just came more and more to life. Shocking me every step of the way. So far, just about every car that rolls through my shop is unique in it's own way and the colors I work with are usually rare. I mostly specialize in rarer-cars, unique paint codes, low production numbers, etc, so seeing a unique color is NOT out of place for me, but getting ahold of this color most certainly was. Check them out here: https://www.epidemicsound.com/referra... THIS TRIP WAS INSANE... Alpine Volks Fair 2023 in Helen, #Georgia was absolutely amazing. I have always been told "MAN YOU GOTTA GO!" AND I finally did with the car family. It was everything it was hyped up to be. Literally #Volkswagens EVERYWHERE you looked, same with Audis, Porsches, even BMWs. It seems like it has just turned into an all out Euro-Car festival! Essentially this event ranges from Wednesday starting with the Early-bird meet, and ending on Saturday. Everyday in between, you have multiple meets based on make/model/generation of Audi/Volkswagen, which just makes for seeing the BEST of the BEST for whatever car. And then when you're done going through that meet, just head out to the parking area, and you can see EVEN MORE awesome cars. One of my favorite parts is literally the town being overran with VAG cars. You could go into town at any time, day or night, and see people just hanging out. For example, the last night, Myself, Daniel, Luis, and the RS3 ran downtown around 10pm for a night shoot in the rain, and STILL, people were out there hangin'! It was an entire week of fun, thrills, unbelievable sights, meeting amazing people, seeing awesome cars, and making the best of memories. We HAMMERED our cars like no tomorrow and they didn't skip a beat. This is THE trip to remember. And after this one, I expect there to be many more. Everything starts with us rallying up to North Carolina from Central Florida. We hit every road imaginable able while we were up there as you saw in the video. It was literally unbelievable and you KNOW I had to pull the camera out for the entirety of the trip, how could I not? Whats even crazier is that I have HUNDREDS of gigabytes worth of footage STILL TO GO THROUGH. Because once we left NC and headed in to Helen Georgia for Alpine Volks Fair 2023 (AVF), that's where the filming and experiences got HEAVY. So stay tuned! SUMMARY & PERSONAL THOUGHTS Just wow... This car turned out to be unbelievable. I would have never thought that one day, I'd get my hands on a JDM imported Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR, an EVO 1, how crazy is that... When this car came to me, one thing was for sure, it was in desperate need of revival. It was HEAVILY swirled up, looking as if it had a thin layer of oxidation throughout the entirety of the car. Because of how dense they were, and the fact that its a JDM car, I knew going into this that it had soft paint. So we had to act accordingly. After some test spots immediately after the wash and decontamination stages, I found that using a medium/finishing polish with a Microfiber Cutting pad was the perfect combination for the "compounding" or "cutting" stage of the correction. Then finishing with a yellow rupes pad + a finishing polish from Menzerna. Overall, just an astounding car. Due to the car being on Ethanol it gave me some hiccups starting up here and there (as you can hear at the start of the ending cinematic) but overall, just getting to drive this thing in front of the shop was an absolute dream. SUMMARY & PERSONAL THOUGHTS For starters, I now see these new Toyota Supra's differently because they are finally available in a 6 Speed Manual. There's a million different auto-transmissions out there like DCT, blah blah, but nothing is more satisfying to drive than a standard gear-box car, especially a Supra. Getting to not only detail this car, but assist in the PPF (very little obviously lol), and film it was a TREAT. Plus, Tyler and I played around with the ability to detail inside his shop which helps out so MUCH. His shop's drive way is just non-stop constant sunshine for 90% of the day, so getting to do this inside made everything so much easier. It was also way more enjoyable, plus I was able to get some sick camera work being inside. Just a totally different experience than usual. After a thorough, safe, and effective exterior prep-detail, Tyler went ahead and installed the PPF, panel by panel. A New Supra Full Body PPF is not as easy as it may look. This seemed to be one heck of a difficult car to PPF according to Tyler, as well as online PPF groups, I'm very happy that my end of the job was strictly Detailing Lol. Got the wheels coated, exhaust tips, and coated the hood since XPEL doesn't make Fusion PPF in rolls big enough for a hood like the Supra's. Overall, I think this will be one to remember. SUMMARY & PERSONAL THOUGHTS When this vehicle first rolled through, it was certainly in rough shape. It honestly started off as a Deep Clean Detail on the exterior and interior, but that QUICKLY changed due to my wanting to chase perfection. I'm glad we did though because it was stunning afterwards. Once the owner gave me the all clear for some extra time with the Ford Ranger, I went to TOWN. And all it took was my curiosity getting the better of me. But sure enough, after a test spot with the polisher, there was gorgeous paint underneath! The removal of the oxidation with the Yellow Rupes Pad & Sonax Perfect Finish revealed an insanely sick Blue Metallic that had so much clarity + depth. It was wild... After all of the polishing we buttoned things up with some Stoner's Products (Found just beneath this description). That being their Liquid Ceramic Wax and their Trim Shine Ceramic Coating. Both awesome products, plus it was a joy to use wax once again. Just a really really cool vehicle to bring back to life. SUMMARY & PERSONAL THOUGHTS This car had me in total awe from the start. And I knew going into this that, yes we were not chasing perfection, but I wanted to do more... And as I got further and further into the Detail, we ended up doing our best to chase perfection while keeping the integrity of the paint. For a Low Mile Pontiac GTO, this one has the be the nicest, cleanest, and best-in-class without a doubt. Especially now that we're done with it. And not only is it 11k miles, in Spice Red, has the black leather interior that's in immaculate condition, but its also the T56 6MT. Which is LITERALLY the icing on the cake. As I said in the video, the one thing that really was cool about this one is that the owner was just as passionate about the vehicle as I was. Now most of the time, yes I do get some really cool cars that come through and yes their owner's do love them. But with this one, the up-most care, attention to detail, and overall passion for, not just the car but cars in general, was something that I don't get to collaborate with owners on a whole lot. So knowing that the owner was just as happy as I was, was a treat. Overall, this car is definitely one for the books. It has for sure taken my #1 spot for favorite video, but as for favorite detail in general, it's definitely fighting for that top spot. And who knows, maybe in a day, week, month, year, I will look back at it and say "yep, that one was my favorite. Anyways, if you Liked the video, leave a Like! SUMMARY & PERSONAL THOUGHTS A 2019, Mk7.5 Indium Grey Metallic Golf R. Other than my own Lapis Metallic Blue Mk7 R, this is one of the cleanest colors you can ask for on any MQB car. Such a gorgeous looking vehicle matched with not only RSE102 Neuspeed Wheels, but also full bolt on, running an EQT Stage 2 Tune, proper aero, etc. Just an absolute UNIT of a Vdub. And yes, this is the same Golf R that was "broken" in the Previous Detailing Video Lol. This thing was very very dirty whenever it rolled on through. After a thorough exterior clean-up with getting the wheels cleaned, paint foamed, washed, we rolled it on into the shop. Got a clay bar on it and decontaminated it. Taped it up and went to town! Once the paint was cut, it was clear that this thing was going to refine amazingly. And it sure dude. Rupes Yellow Pad + Sonax Perfect Finish is just a perfect combo for just about 85% of cars out there. Once we refined it this thing literally GLOWED. Then getting the exhaust tips polished, coated, wheel faces coated, etc, This thing was READY for the Road. Absolutely Stunning. If you enjoyed the video, toss me a Like if you want! It's always an absolutely awesome time, amazing cars, the cleanest facility you've ever seen, etc. This year they had parking off on the side lot and not a lot of action in the front of the warehouse, but that didn't stop anyone from having a good time. In this video, we check out mostly the cars and move on from there. Truly an amazing facility, people, and cars. If you're in the Central Florida area, you have to keep an eye out for this event whenever it comes around this same time next year. It's worth the time! Instead of it just being a brief look at the event, I had to show the entire story. That began the day before with me prepping my car, then going to the event, then ending with the A91 Supra. That Supra is developing into the craziest story/job I've had so far, so keep an eye out for that video soon. Lol, it's been a crazy ride.
