Miami Lit Podcast #54 - The Art of the Fountain Pen with Brian Goulet
** This is video is not sponsored. We are true fans of the Goulet Pen Company **
Today we interview Brian Goulet co-founder of The Goulet Pen Company. Nothing better than to geek out over fountain pens.
The following is an excerpt from the company website:
"The Goulet Pen Company originally began as a hobby in 2007, when Brian's lifelong interest in woodworking led him to purchase a small lathe and try penturning on a whim. Goulet Pens quickly became a hit with our friends and family. Despite the fact we were living in an apartment and Brian's "workshop" was on a covered balcony, we picked up our first corporate order and thus the hobby turned into a business in a matter of weeks. Brian made his pens on nights and weekends until late 2008, when he decided to devote his career to penturning.
After making over 800 custom rollerball pens, Brian took an interest in fountain pens after attending the DC Fountain Pen Supershow in 2009. In late 2009, we decided to expand from writing instruments to enhancing the overall writing experience. We embraced the Clairefontaine family of products first, then gradually increased our ink offerings to nearly 600 ink colors, and continued to acquire new brands of quality fountain pens.
The Goulet Pen Company has earned a loyal following by offering the finest products at competitive prices, superior customer service, and through the education and inspiration offered through our blog and social media channels."

Miami Lit Podcast #51 - The Future of NFTs with Roc Sol
Roc Sol is an independent hip hop artist, muralist, mixed media abstract artist based in Miami, FL. He is also known for the events he has hosted for the community, more notably his event called “Rocfest”. Growing up learning about the elements of hip hop culture, he used his influence and background in graffiti, bboying and emceeing as his inspiration for his art and music. In 2013, he released his debut mixtape, "Tracksides: Volume 1". The project was mixed by DJ Frogie and featured various local artists, DJ’s, and producers.
He has mastered his abstract art style, finding influence by artists such as Basquiat, Damien Hirst, and Kandinsky while still using elements of graffiti to define his technique. He developed his stained-glass graffiti patterns, creating his signature look for most of his art pieces.
In November of 2021, Roc Sol began learning about NFT’s and all the different communities within the digital space. During Art Basel 2021, he was invited to a private Bored Ape Yacht Club event called BAYC BASEL where he was able to paint 15 Bored Ape canvases live for members of the Bored Ape Yacht Club. After Art Basel 2021, Roc Sol decided to form a mural team called “Project Roadmap” to create large scale NFT murals for various NFT communities. The team consists of Roc Sol, Dias and Professor X.
