Tom Glass March 23, 2023 testimony to Texas Senate Border Security Committee in favor of SCR 23, the bill that declared cartel invasion of Texas and invoking Article I, Section 3, Clause 3 of the U.S. Constitution, the self defense reservation of power to Texas. SCR 23, introduced by my State Senator Lois Kolkhorst, passed the Senate 30-1. A Dade Phelan Committee Chair killed it by refusing to hear it. But, in Jan, 2024, the Texas Governor Abbott, Lieutenant Governor Patrick, and Attorney General Ken Paxton are deploying the arguments of SCR 23 in the active confrontation between Texas and the federal government over the right of Texans to defend ourselves against federal lawbreaking in alliance with the cartels.

Testimony by Alan Vera in favor of Texas SB 1927 by Senator Bryan Hughes which would have restored independent state-level prosecution of election law in Texas in response to and in compliance with the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals State v Stephens opinion. Vera details how he uncovered evidence of illegal ballot harvesting in Harris County and how the Texas Attorney General was in process to prosecute when the Court of Criminal Appeals opinion stopped it. He said the local DA, who was linked to the corruption, has declined to prosecute. This testimony was on March 23, 2023, just 42 days before Mr. Vera passed away at the Texas Capitol while waiting to give more testimony on election integrity.

The bill would add the following to the Texas Bill of Rights: The right of the people to own, hold, and use a mutually agreed upon medium of exchange, including cash, coin, bullion, digital currency, or scrip, when trading and contracting for goods and services shall not be infringed. No government shall prohibit or encumber ownership or holding of any form or any amount of money or other currency. Nothing in this section shall be construed as restricting this state or a political subdivision of this state from only accepting payments made or entering into transactions using certain mediums of exchange.
